He was odd, but he was unaware. The shiny red male twitched as he walked, having a strange mannerism since being born. He was a mess, a failure, and a complete oddity to life. He was aware of it, yet he could care less. It was nice to know that one of his parents was NOT a Unicorn, and that he was a strange new mix in the scheme of things. But, his horn was only a reminder of the tainted life that he held as he took in every inch of air.
All he did care about though, was blood, and lots of it. A strange fascination, even his coat carried the digusting color. Only a few moments early, Spade had whipped his tail against a rock, and then through a horrible bush of thorns. His tail now dripped with blood, and he stared in fascination until a bird flew over him. "More blood?" His eyes gleamed and he trotted forward, carrying his bloody tail behind him. He was a disgusting sight, and a complete child of terror.

Father didn't often let them wander far on their own. At least he hadn't until lately. He was starting to think that it was most likely because Father figured that if they were eaten or damaged in some way it was their own fault. He would be smarter than that though. He wasn't going to get himself damaged beyond anything he could take care of himself. No he'd leave the damage for his useless brother and annoyance of a sister.
Shaking his head he stretched his wings before catching sight of a bird. If it landed then he'd have a nice little snack until Father brought dinner. It would be so much easier if his wings were strong enough to carry him instead of being mostly useless. They did mean he could almost balance on his back legs though.
Doing just that he reared back and snapped his teeth at the feathered creature as it came closer. If he was lucky he'd grab a wing or tail and be done with it.

The bird was wandering away, this was horrible. Spade's little legs couldn't keep up, but then, the bird stopped on something white and his size. "Bloood.." Spade was jealous, and he kept moving his feet. The trail behind him was wet and full of blood from his tail. It was a disgusting site.
Once he noticed that the other figure looked like him, he stopped confused. It seemed to be snapping at the bird, lucky brat. He was able to enjoy the blood, it seemed. So not fair, just like when his other sister always won stuff. In retaliation to the scene in front of him, Spade whipped his tail around and bite into it. Man, one's own blood tasted GROSS!
"Lucky, you get the blood, then." His tail dropped down, looking dead and limp, and he stared at the foal with bloody fangs. "Now where am I gonna find more blood?" He was completely clueless now, since his priority was taken away.

One of his ears twitched toward the sound but for the moment he ignored it. Setting the bird down he closed his fangs around it's head, hoof on one wing, and popped it's head off. For some reason he always liked the heads of the small things he caught.
Once that was done he turned a slightly stained head toward the voice. It was another thing like his siblings. Only it had wings like him but it had that stupid extra horn that Taint and Torment had.
"What are you going on about?" Blood it seemed but blood was stupid to be talking about all the time. It wasn't all that interesting anyway. The squishy insides were better than the red wet stuff.

Spade inched closer but kept a sturdy distance. He saw the blood dripping out, it was pure and red, so delicious and perfect. "Do you even want that blood?" He said, while twitching his body. "I will help you clean up if no." He grinned and tried to hold his composure without twitching again.
Spade didn't care about the insides, just the blood. Maybe they could make a wager, that's what he and his sisters would do. The foal also looked like him, he had wings and a scary face. They were opposite colors though, so they easily stood out in the forest.
"Good catch, too." He said, in his awkward speech. He grinned at the foal, happy it wasn't a female like his damned sisters. "You are the first boy I meet so I am thankful." He bowed his head and twitched unevenly.

"Why would i want it?" It wasn't that useful and just got his hide horribly dirty. At least he wasn't like Taint and ended up trying not to even touch the stuff.
"Beware ... some boys aren't all that boy..ish." His brother acted more like a sister than a brother. Or at least that's what Father said sometimes. He didn't get it since that wasn't how his sister acted but Father would know.
Carefully pulling the bird open and pulling out the bits he wanted he backed away from the carcass. "If you want it then have it."
Normally he wouldn't let anyone near his kills but giving the other the bird seemed better than having to listen to him babble on about the blood. As he backed away from the other he took notice of his tail and it's poorly taken care of state. There was defiantly something wrong with the other.

Before Spade could ask a question, he pounced at the meat, licking at the wonderful blood. Wow, this foal was nice! He really didn't have to do that, Spade was usually shunned off to the side or something, especially with his stupid mother and sisters. So, this was awesome! Before he looked up, he shook his head to get some of the blood off. Luckily in his case, it blended right into his color. "Thank, you." He said, slowly, trying to figure the correct wording out.
Now, after being satisfied with his original desire, he looked at the foal carefully. "What do you mean, not boy-ish? I only have two stupid sisters so I don't know." Man his siters were awful, stupid girly brats. "What kind of boy is it then?" He said, twitching after finally getting the words out.
At least there was something else on his mind now, so to show he was interested, (since it was the only social thing he knew,) he sat his butt on the ground and tilted his head.

He sneered slightly as the foal sat back on his haunches. He couldn't think how that could in any way be useful and it made the other look ridiculous. At least he wasn't acting like he was on the same footing as him. That wouldn't have been tolerable.
"I do not know. He acts like Father says sisters do. My sister does not act like that though." She was almost like him but not quite. She had to try to hard to please Father.

"Sooo.. girly, then?" Spade looked at him, sort of getting it better. "So do you not like him then?" Spade didn't think he would like him very mch. Especially if he was a boy, and acted girly. He hated his sisters, and they were girly, so that meant he pretty much hated everything girly.
Spade felt odd, and after staring off into space for a minute, he looked at the foal confused because he didn't know what to call him. "I am Spade, what then is your name?" He twiched while saying name, but he hoped it was still complete enough as a word.
His sisters always made fun of him, Raven seemed to be alright mind wise, but Darkfire was also kind of cooky. His mom was really screwed up so he figured she made him this way.

"I suppose. I do not know what girly is." Father had explained it but it was not something he could grasp other than it was his brother. He wanted to actually see a girl be girly so he could know that ti was true. His sister was out though since she tried to be like him.
"Tarnish." He answered the question about his name absently. It wasn't important to him since it was just a word. He was far too tempted to think about how he was going to prove that his brother was in fact girly.

He was lucky if he didn't know what girly was. It was probably the most awful thing Spade had on his mind, so he stood up to look at Tarnish better. Tarnish, that was an interesting name. He would try and remember well, he didn't mind the other foal. He did give him blood so on his list, he liked him!
"Well girly sucks so, that is lucky." He said, while shaking his head. "My sisters are flat out annoying, and they bounce around and copy my mom. Its opposite of father, so I dislike it." He sighed, and looked back up at Tarnish. Man, he had such dark eyes, they were cool though.

"They should listen to their Father. Father's always know best." At least his did. Maybe Spade and his siblings didn't have as good of a Father as his. Yes, no one could be as good as his Father so that had to be the case. He grinned slightly as he thought about Father making two bouncing girls pay attention. It would probably make more blood for Spade to be happy over.

"I like father, and listening to him." Spade smiled finally, happy on the subject. "He helps me get blood, and he is strong. Very quiet though, but I desire his strength!" His mother boasted on about since Spade was the male, that he needed to watch for his sisters, or something. "What about your mother? Mine is sort of psycho." He twitched again, and shook his sore face. "My dad feels bad for me since mother messed me up."
It was hard, having such strange parents, and such a strange bloodline. Though, Spade didn't let it bother him that much, seeing thet he had no control over it. He only cared about what he had control over, pretty much.

At the question about his mother he shrugged. "Never met her." Father had always been the one around and had never spoken well of their Mother. He didn't really understand what one was other than she hated him and his siblings and that Father thought that they should not be like her. He vaguely remembered something about his hide being different from his siblings and it having to do with Mother.
"Father raises us. Mother doesn't like Father." He had already dubbed her stupid for this. Father was strong and powerful and she should be thankful that he even bothered with her.

"Maybe you are lucky you never met her then." Spade spat at the ground and shivered from a bad body reaction. "I think fathers are better, who cares about females." He just HATED being around them all day, that when he could be with his father, he was most happy.
Spade looked back at Tarnish's black eyes and brought his to the ground after. He wasn't very skilled at starting conversation, so he was clueless on where to begin. He already learned quite a lot about Tarnish, but other knowledge that he needed wasn't placing right in his mind.
"I sorry," He said, twitching madly, "I am boring.. You are the first I meet without family so I am confused on what to say. I hate talking around my family so, this is weird." He brought his eyes back on the foal and gave a kind smirk.
