Poinsettia leand against a tree in the heat of the mid day, letting the shade cool her. Oh, how she wanted to just go and swim but after making a promis to Aquos she was stuck watching her step cousin, Stryker. Lucky for her this was one of his odd days and he wasn't being bad, only laying within the shade with her. Must be the heat..Fried the little guys brain! Tia chuckled to herself.

Tessa happily sloshed her way through a shallow stream, water up to the middle of her legs. She trailed her tailfeathers in the water and flicked the droplets over her head, giggling softly to herself as the water beaded in her mane and cooled her face and head.
She had no real destination today... Had visited her family and some of her friends... Had explored a bit... But it was so hot... So humid and outrageously sunny.. Casalure was sick from it and tucked into the forest till night-fall... And until then, she was free to wander around this area of the world.
Which left her splashing in the water.

Stryker, who was bored out of his mind, was being quiet and waiting..Waiting for his cousin to fall asleep so he could take off. Tia was no fun, ever!
Stryker's patentic paid off as the heat got to his cousin and she drifted off to sleep. "Sorry cous, I think I can look after myself..." he smirked as he took off towards the water. He dad was a great swimer so why shouldn't he be? Ok, the deep water scared Stryker a bit but at least it was cool! Strkyer bouned along the shore line, chasing fish, rolling around and generaly just slapshing water everywhere.

Tilting her head, the lone lioness considered the distant sounds and wondered what all the ruckus ahead was. Shrugging she picked up her pace a bit and trotted around a corner of the river. Songstress paused in her progress up the creek, blinking as she watched the crazy cub chasing fish and making a lot of noise along the bank. His antics reminded her of someone... Someone Poinsettia always talked to her about... Then it hit her, and it didn't occur to her to hold her tongue.
"You're Stryker aren't you!" She yelped. "You're Poinsettia's cousin that always drives her bonkers! What are you doing out here alone?!"

Stryker must have lept five feet in the air when the lioness spoke to him. There was someone else here and she knew his name! He turned around and looked to her with a glare glare before he tilted his head...She sorta looked like his mom...He shook his head and looked to Tessa. "Ya, I'm Stryker...What's it to ya? And I'm having fun...Tia is just over there..." he motioned with a paw, obiously giving her attitude to make himself seem cool.

Tessa considered his attitude with an arched brow. A small smile tugged across her face as she battled with the ideas of either knocking him tail over snout, or picking him up and dropping him in Tia's paws for a good whalloping...
"You're just as bratty as she said." She murmured at last.

The teal looked hurt at the lioness, his addituted gone. He looked to the gorund and folded his ear's back. "Your a mean lioness..."

"No I'm not." Tessa muttered, eyeing him. "You are a VERY rude cub to be talking to an adult the way you just did... So I told you that you were a brat... And you are... You should behave... I was being polite until you started being rude... "
She considered him with a frown, then barked a sharp order to the sleeping lioness. "TIA WAKE UP THIS INSTANT."
