So I made this thread because I think i'm getting some stretch marks on my legs. I'm not sure why, though, because I'm not obese or pregnant and I'm active in sports (well, except for now because I broke my arm, but I still take walks and eat healthy) and I eat healthy food. Summer is coming, and I don't want people to be staring at my pearly white legs with little red squigglies. This could also help out some other girls that have the strange problem as well.

I have heard cocoa butter works well. I don't have anything with cocoa butter in it, though.

Do you know what works?

I really don't want to buy a cream or anything thats especially for stretch marks.

Please help!

I have stretch marks near my thighs and butt. Because when I was about 16, my a** all of a sudden got huge. D:

Put some Cocoa butter on them, it will reduce the appearance of them. Or get some collagen lotion. That works too.

I started using Cocoa butter about a month ago, and they've started to reduce a little bit.

To get Cocoa butter, just go to Wal-Mart. Vaseline makes a brownish-red tube of it. That's what I use.




I've never seen a heart that I couldn't break.

I have some on my breasts because mine grew from not-even-needing-a-bra size to like... B Cup within the month. >_> <_<

They fade after awhile, though. Coco Butter helps too.

    I have them on my knee caps and on the backs of my knees for two years. The ones on my knee caps are white squiggles, and the ones on the back are purple-red, so they look like veins. It sucks. X_x I never used to use vaseline or any lotion/cream, so I can understand why the skin ripped. I'm trying to reduce the appearance by using lotion every day, but I have yet to try cocoa butter. It will probably help. :]

There's some new stuff called Bio Oil that is supposed to be very strong and very effective.

Yes, I have some too. I got them probably when I turned 14. I hade a huge growth spurt... My boobs got bigger, my butt, my thighs got thicker, ect... I thought it was a bad thing but I get nice comments on my round behind x3 (I take it as a good thing) but I got stretch marks too and I also used cocoa butter but I find that getting a tan works better and it makes them fade too... but time also helps. Mine are still fading though... I guess its just a natural girl thing confused

Yeah, in like, a month I grew about 3 inches.
My twiggish sister looks at me like "jeez you have enough to eat?" when shes eaten twice as much as me when she was my age.
It's not like I just got fat or anything, I've grown about 7 inches.

Cocoa butter, or preferred, shea butter.

Can I ask where these marks are? It's not common for you to have them on your arms or legs unless you have had a growth spurt/gained a large amount of weight in a short period.

Your mother would be correct.

Common places women get stretch marks are on their breasts and hips, so I wouldn't worry too much about those. It's all natures preparation for childbirth with your hips and the breasts are just because they weigh downward, generally most breasts will regardless of size because of gravity.

I got them on my stomach when I moved to my bf's place from the city to the country O.o. Before you ask, no, I'm not pregnant, and no, I haven't gained any weight. I've lost like... 3 pounds in two months... but, do you think that would've done it? I mean... they're ugly and I hate them!!! lol

i got my first ones when i was twelve, around the hip bones and the back of my knees. my mom bought me some bio oil.
i barely even use them though. those white, they're un-noticeable, really.
