I know this is in the wrong place, I will move it when I'm assured everyone has seen it. ATTENTION EVERYONE!!! THIS IS NOT A JOKE!!! KAYAKO IS NOT BEING A DITZ, I AM COMPLETELY SERIOUS!!!
If you use the mywebsearch toolbar, smiley central, zwinky, or any other such thing associated with mywebsearch....you really need to uninstall it NOW!!!
It's a SPYWARE SCAM that can TAKE YOUR PASSWORDS!!!! This includes Gaia, myspace, livejournal...or any site!

If my AS Program updates can be announcmatized. I dont see why this shouldn't. It has to do with Gaia, Paypal, Aol, & so on. So this is top priority.

lol, I dont know if its just that I am on the net WAY too much...or perhaps its just common sence...
But anything that you do not TOTALLY trust, should NOT be installed!
Im kinda suprised, however, that Zwinkys was on the blacklist! I mean, that thing was advertised nationally! Weird...
Another internet safety tip, never, EVER use those "free online virus scans" that are not from Mcafee, Norton, or AVG! Most, if not all "free" virus scanners INSTALL MALWARE ON YOUR COMP JUST SO YOU HAVE A REASON TO BUY THE PRODUCT!
Trust me, as I am the resident computer geek around these parts. Do not trust ANYBODY on the net! I know it sounds like I'm contradicting myself...but I am totally serious. If anything at all should happen to my account on Gaia, whether it be my own stupidity (not too likely), or my comp gets compromized and my cookies get stolen (a bit more likely), it may not be me talking!
Yes, paranoia is a GOOD thing on the net!
((And no...those flashing seizure inducing banner ads saying "You are the Millionth visitor to this site! Click to claim reward!" are not real...otherwise I have been the 1 millionth visitor 1872 times....but whos counting... xp ))

Actually, although Zwinky may have been advertised nationally, you can't blame them necessarily. Programs are taken and abused throughout the internet. So we can't really blame the companies, because they are trying to fix those problems. It's the people that take those programs and use them as a door into your computer.
There was a time when even Firefox was having some serious problems that could do a lot of damage to computers. Fortunately, it was quickly fixed, and from what I can tell, no even knows about it. I only heard it from my friend who was looking some things up on the news.
Though don't take my word for it. This may be true in some cases, but I feel confident in the belief. Besides, being proven wrong isn't always a bad thing...

ah yes, I remember that...
Of course that was when I was back using IE (blech) because FF didnt have all the cool stuff it has now.
BTW, did you know that IE uses the state-of-the-art Microsoft Security Hole Technology? (patent pending)
