Son of the rulers of the land walks in. "Its time for a battle between Mathias of the ninja clan, and Runa of the once great crab clan."

Runa enters into the arena ready to fight her challenger.

Mathias walks in and smiles brightly, "Hello Runa. I never thought you and i would battle." He said as he walked closer to her. He then turned to face the prince and bowed, he waited for Runa to do the same so they could battle.

Runa turned and bowed to the Prince before turning and bowing to Mathias. "I neither thought of meeting you in battle, but here we are...so uh...goodluck", she said as she smiled back at him.

Mathias turned and faced Runa and bowed slightly to her. "Thank you and best of luck to you as well."
The prince smiled at both of them. "Let the battle begin."

Runa nodded, "Thank-you". She brought out her sword holding it in her best defensive position to start out with, parellel to the ground, slightly in front of her, the tip of the blade pointed slightly to the ground and to her left. She stood confidently with her feet planted in the ground shoulder length apart. She relaxed her nerves opening up all of her senses to her suurondings as she focused her eyes on Mathias.

Mathias stood there his hand on his chin and legs crossed. "Very nice stance, and your welcome." He said and then pulled out his katana very slowly. As he did the blade fell apart into thousands of tiny blades. They flew up from the ground surround Mathias as they fell. It looked as if cherry trees just started loosing their petals. "Do you wish to attack first or shall i?" He asked softly, wanting her to be as relaxed as possible so she wouldnt make foolish moves.

She blinked several times without anwsering, trying to figure out what he had just done and wondering how they would affect her. The shards had been his blade....could he still control it like this, she wondered. She smiled, "I'm not one to rush into things when I don't know how they will affect me", she said sounding as blunt but polite as possible.

"Very well then i will show you how this works." Mathias said smiling slightly. His eyes moved to a very large rock that stood next to Runa. The blades that seemed like petals flew towards it as if a very strong wind had blown them there. Once they arrived at the rock the petals surround it as if it was in the middle of a thousand cherry trees that were losing their petals. A few moments later they returned to Mathias swirling around him and the rock fell into dust. "Does that show you how it may affect you?" He asked.

She stared at the rock for a moment before looking back to Mathias. "...Yes that does well enough...although I think you could use that in many more ways than what you just showed me", she said with a smile. She remained calm at the moment not yet releasing her wind poweress, she would save that until a bit later. "But just to let you know, I don't don't plan on becoming dust anytime soon", she said still smiling.

Mathias smiled and reached out his hand that was touching his chin. It looked as if he was grabbing something. Doing so made the blades fly into the air and form what looked like a hand, it flew towards Runa hand open wide as if it would grab her. If she got caught in the hand she would die easily for once it happened Mathias would close his hand into a fist and the blades would shoot through her body. "You will need to cause something that will block this atack for if the hand grabs you, you will be turned to a pool of blood." He said calmly as if it was normal for people to burst into blood.

Runa jumped back and then being a little ways away from the hand. She dropped her sword behind her and to the side before bringing it up in a giant swing forward until the point pointed to the heavens. With it she engaged a bit of her wind spirits powers causing a wave or air to be sent at the hand as well as dirt and and small rocks that had been on the ground in front of her swing.

The hand was split in two and returned to Mathias taking its one blade form once again. "Very nice your one of the only people that attacked the blades as they were coming at them. Most just dodged and tried to attack me." He said smiling, placing the katana back into its holder. "Young Prince, may i be allowed to use my mental ablities in this battle?" Mathias yelled keeping his face and eyes on Runa.
The prince smiled, "That is up to Runa if she allows it then its fine by me. Infact i would love to see your ablities that i have heard so much about."

Runa never took her eyes off Mathias, "I'm not one to run away Mathias", she said before thinking for a moment. Mental abilities? What in the world is that...he can control stuff with his mind!? Thats a scary thought...Can I counter that and possibly beat it? Guess there's no point in wondering...will just have to find out first hand, she thought determindly. "Alright Mathias. You can use your mental ablilities...whatever they are. It's fine by me", she said.
