Yachiru sat on a branch in a tree near the training ground humming softly to herself and gently swinging her leg that was hanging over the side. She sighed and leaned backwards until the back of her head touched the trunk gently. The little garrulous shinigami was very calm right now, which was not normal behavior for her. Even though she was staring into space, she was still cognizant of her surroundings and could react to any little movement. Her eyes scanned the place and yet there was a puckish little spark in them, even in her calmest moment.

Upon noticing her captain, Yachiru's broad smile returned to her face. "Nothing, just thinking of Maki-chan," she said and then jumped down off the branch she was sitting on and landing gently on Kenpachi's shoulder. She sighed happily, "what are you doing?"
