I know this is quite random, and it would never happen but ... here I go. . .
If Ville Valo were to leave the band, for whatever reason, would you still listen? Now, I know Ville would never leave his mates behind but, just for fun, think about it.
I personally would have to hear the new material first. If it is completely different and unappealing, I would not listen to it. Even though it is HIM. But, if the band holds strong and doesn't create complete bullshit, I would conintue to listen. But of corse, it wouldn't be as good without Ville's deep raspy voice.

surprised i dont wnat to think about that, Ville is awesome BUT if he was to leave id cry and listen to there old work then the new and see if i like it xP * Bunny * -X- Ville Valo Fan! -X-

He wouldn't leave.
Simple as that.
Valo isHIM.
He writes all the music and lyrics, so the band would split up, rather than him leave.

He writes all the music and lyrics, so the band would split up, rather than him leave. i agree to an extent. though, i do believe that the band holds their own and mr.Valo isnt the ONLY one that makes the band. i think that if the band did go through a major change like that it would be difficult, but not entirly impossible, to find a singer who would compete with or match Mr.Valo's style in singing. i would have to hear the material to determine if it's any good and then decide if i would listen to the bands new material. but i think that the band is holding strong and IF Mr.Valo were to leave the rest of the band would either disperce or put an end to their musical career. and another thing, it is not entirely impossible for Mr. Valo to consider leaving the music scene because im not sure if many of you know this, but he is prone to mental break downs and nervous attacks when the release of an album comes about and he's finding it more and more difficult to deal with the stress, though he says that the reward of the fan's reactions to the new material makes it well worth it. i have faith in HIM, though i must admit i don't think it's very good for someone's health to be stressing like that confused

I would cry for three days and more if Ville left (that wont happen because Ville is HIM like Viselle said) I would cry because I like Daniel (aka Linde) as much as I like Ville.

OMG if Ville left, i woul;d cry 4 days, maybe years!!!! i would mourn his leave like a death!!!i would sit in my room and cry and listen 2 their albums everyday!!! i love Ville, u would see that on my profile^_^ but if he left, i would cry my eyes out!!!!!!

Never. I would never listen if Ville left, because HIM just wouldn't be the same. And i know that things change and sounds change, but losing any part of HIM takes away their whole essence and vibe. I wouldn't listen if any one of them left.

Ville has come close to dieing many times and recently has been in a downward spiral. I was worried. Would he come back? Yes he did. But I would never listen to the new HIM should Ville leave because he just makes the band

What you people don't realise is that HIM are very much like NIN.
Trent Reznor writes and records all of NIN's music.
Sure, he has the band backing him up live, but without him, there is no NIN.
The only difference is that the other members of HIM record the music, not just play it live.
No Trent; no NIN.
No Valo; no HIM.
There would be no "new stuff" without him.
Ever.

If Valo wasnt in the band nor would be Mige' highschool friends they would make a diffrent band and maybe all the posers wouldnt be so obsessed over HIM without valo so i would and then again i wouldnt for the fact that valo is him because you made him that way
