Empoko grinned slightly as she shifted through the Feileadh Woods. There was nothing really worth being in these woods for but she found herself more at home in the creepy area than anywhere else. Well except for her pack; she was honestly most at home with them. Her heart was thumping quickly yet quietly against her chest, her paws were placed carefully one in front of the other, and her eyes stayed pinpointed on a small squirrel. The little critter was dashing from one tree to the next and often climbing high up but Empoko followed with skill and grace.
After a while the squirrel disappeared and a small pool of crystal clear water sat in front of the female. "Thank you little one." She breathed out, her words an eerie whisper.

Oki was passing through the Feileadh Woods. He wasnt one to stay in one place for to long. His front paws felt the dead leaves and dirt smoosh softly under his paws. He liked that feeling for some reason. The smell of tree bark and pine leaves was thick and you could almost swear that you taste it. It was nice, and made Oki feel more at ease.
Another smell caught his nose, a smell of another wolf. He couldnt tell the gender though just that the other wolf was close. There didnt seem to be any other smell lingering in the air but this one lone wolves sent. Oki took caution as he slowly paced through the forest floor careful not to give him self away to the other. His padding treaded lightly and carefully as to not make a sound. The other wolves back was now in sight. He wondered if sneaking around the wolf would be safe, would he be noticed. Even though he was being quieter then a mouse his scent could and he knew would give him away to the other wolf. Oki was careful to keep his distance. But still if this was that wolves territory it wouldnt matter and there would be a fight, but if the wolf was just passing through like him then maybe he could get some info from it about what direction the herd was moving. Oki's ears twitched some.

The she wolf did not tense or grow weary when the other's scent flickered past her nose; she kept drinking. After a moment she began to hum a tune she had been sung to as a pup. Much like the forest the two wolves were in now it was beautiful yet haunting, Magical and creepy at the same time. Her tail flicked and an impish smirk flitted across her maw.
"You approach yet your voice is silent; do you wish to assassinate me?" She cooed out, her words loud enough for his ears yet quietly spoken. After a minute she rose her head from the water and turned to look at the approacher. Her eyes floated over the dark color clashing so brilliantly with the crimson, landing first on the necklace about his neck and then toward the mask upon his skull. Curious. He was not one suited for the forest colors and yet... he looked as if he could slink well through the shadows, as long as no light traveled through the branches. It rarely did.
But automatically she knew he was just a traveler, a wolf passing through. Nothing in his nature told her that he lived in these woods; she knew most who lived here and very few slipped away from this knowledge. "Though your stealth equals few. Ve~ry quiet." She muttered, almost as if to herself yet also open as a compliment. The impish smile faded from her visage and she bowed her head low. "The forest has given me the name Empoko, know it and embrace it. What shall the forest call you?" Her words were slightly strange, but nothing the male could not understand. It was simply her way.

Oki's eyes went steady on the female as she spoke. They showed no emotion when she inquired him to be an assasign. He couldnt blame her for assuming so at first with how quiet he was being. He felt more at ease that she didnt seem to want to fight. Oki didnt mind fighting other wolves and he had fought many but it was nice to take it easy and just pass through on any chance that happen to pass by.
"Okikurmi," He replied to her question with a smirk, she had stated her name. This wolf seemed alittle strange but that didnt bother him in the least. As a traveling warrior wolf who followed the herd he had met many kinds of wolves, wise wolves, pirate wolves, other warrior wolves both good and bad, shy wolves, hostile wolves, but always the odd wolves who spoke so strangely were the ones that amused him the most. "Many just call me Oki," His words were softly spoken with no sign of emotion. He wasnt cold he was just a tad serious. "May I ask are you the keeper of these woods?" He was a tad curious to know where and what this wolf hailed from.
His gaze flickered over to the pool of water that the female wolf had been lapping from. His mouth was dry and he was thirsty. "May I drink?" He asked with a bit of hopefulness lingering in his words.

"Okikurmi." She repeated in a whisper, and then smirked. She liked it lengthened more than shortened and she would not be calling him 'Oki' like he suggested, though she did not bother stating any of this information.
"...Keeper of the woods." She repeated and then looked around slowly. It was almost as if she was sharing a private joke with the woods. Ah but this could not be, the woods were not alive as she and the he-wolf were. She giggled slightly and shook her head slowly. "Perhaps just a dear friend." She answered, head tilting. "So I was correct in assuming your paws are foreign to this soil. Perhaps that is best, many wolves get confused traveling through these woods... though that is also for the best." She offered no explanation as to why.
After a moment of consideration from his question she turned away to stare at the pool, and to hide her smile. "Ah do as you please. It is not I who controls the pool, the pool is what controls you." And whatever that meant? Well she left it up to his imagination.

Oki smiled on the inside when she let him drink from the pool. Though her other statement confused him slightly. It was definte that the she wolf was a bit odd, but since he was a stranger he dare not say that. He padded over to the pool and lapped up some of the water. It was cooling and freshing to the taste. He hadnt had any drink for a while and was glad to have found a pool that was so cool.
His head lifted and he turned to Empoko. His eyes gazing into her's. He was curious about this one. Even though the he moved with the wind where ever it took him he didnt mind defying that whim to chat with this she wolf. She had peeked his intrest, something hard to do.
"Does this forest talk to you," He was very blunt in his aproach but it was something that he couldnt help. Oki had no consent for anything else. He was one who didnt like to beat around the bush, he just said what was on his mind. Her eyes were deep and hard to read. She was like this forest, haunting yet luring.

She watched him drink, no expression apparent. Her ears twitched and when he lifted his head and asked his words her impish smile grew again. She stared back into his eyes, not afraid of the contact. She was not one to look away and did not find such actions unnerving. She rather liked eye contact, something so few were able to do for long periods of time. Though his eyes gave away nothing they also gave away much. He was a hard wolf, serious yet free. Different from her... yet the same. She may have been free... but she was also entrapped. Entranced, more so.
Her eyes glinted with mirth at his words and finally she looked away to gaze around her home. She moved forward, very close to him. Her voice dropped lower than ever, barely a whisper. "If you listen closely they will speak to you too." She had leaned forward, her muzzle near his ear. After a minute she drew back, aware that some wolves did not like being this close to strangers. "But does Okikurmi want to listen... that is really the question you should be asking, shouldn't it? This forest will speak to any wolf.. though few wolves take the time to listen.." Her face fell, a moment she seemed rather sad of this.
Perhaps it was true and perhaps she was just a little looney, she made no claims as to which was the actuality. "But that leads your mind astray to other questions, yes? What would one say to a forest if that forest spoke to them?" Her head tilted.

Oki stood still as her muzzle came close to his ear, he did not pull away or even blush. This wolf was very strange, but at the same time she had a glow to her. It wasnt that she was very strange it was that she had wisdom that most didnt take the time to understand. It was true most wolves in this world were pretty fast pace. He was beginning to understand this wolf slowly but surely.
Her words were true. Take the time and listen. This was true with many things. Many would understand more if they took the time to listen in general.
Oki closed his eyes, his ears twitched. He paused for a good period of time as he listened. Yet he did not hear anything, the forest did not say anything to him. Maybe the words of this forest were not ment for ears of a wandering wolf. Maybe they thought him unworthy. Oki opened his eyes and looked back at the she wolf.
"The forest, I think it damns me as unworthy to hear its voice," He had no expression on his face. He just said it how it was, or how he assumed it was.
"Your wisdom," He began,"Many wolves dont understand do they?" He just called it how he saw it. Oki wasnt one to choose words carefully.

She shook her head slowly when he decided the forest did not want to speak to him. She smiled sadly and did not say any more on the matter, perhaps one day he would learn to listen correctly. Though not many wolves did, it was hard to clear your head, heart and soul of all things when you wanted to talk with the forest spirits surrounding you. She would not tell him that was how you talked to the woods, and how the woods talked to you. The reason she would not tell him because the truly worthy would figure it out on their own, not be told.
Wisdom... She blinked and looked around quickly for some reason and her eyes landed back on him. She just smiled slowly and shrugged. "We all hold wisdom in our hearts, it is a matter or releasing it... but to be more direct not many know how to take other's wisdom in. So... no, not many understand my ways. If that was what you were referring to, the way I go about things and think of things, as my wisdom." She offered him a friendly smile and then realized she should be doing her pack duties, which she was not so fond of but she was less fond of upsetting Shadow and his rule.
"How long do you travel these woods? Many wolves pass quickly through and here you have stopped to chat... have you not heard the stories?" She mumbled slightly, her voice quiet.

Oki titled his head alittle. Was there something wrong with these woods, and if so, what was wrong with it? Oki gave the female wolf a slight smile. He wasnt afraid of what ever may be wrong with these woods he just didnt want to seem like such a stranger.
A bit embarrassed, Oki swallowed his pride and decided to ask, "What stories?" He asked. It was some what shameful for such a well traveled wolf to not know the stories of an area, even more so since this was not his first time passing through these woods. He had never had a conversation with another wolf that involved these woods. However he had never brought up the fact that he had passed through them. He didnt think of it as such a big deal. It was just a means of getting to his next destination.
However he had to admit that every time he did set paw in these woods he felt watched. Like there was something following him, be it wolf or something else. He had heard one story of a pack around here but he hadnt heard more then that.

Ah, so he was foreign to the tales that slipped past the vines of these woods. The tales that traveled accross the land of Dacaiana like wild fire, polluting the minds of weaker wolves, and giving those with stronger thoughts something to think about. As it should be, though.
"These woods are haunted." She said slowly, carefully. Her voice was quiet, her tone a little weary as if she could not speak freely these words. She took a deep breath and offered half a smile to the male, wondering if she should be telling him a story that she often told young pups in the pack... Well, he had asked. "Many wolves who enter know the fate that awaits them amound these trees. Many never return to their homelands, or venture back out into the sunlight." She paused, watching him carefully. Her tail curled around her paws as if she was feeling slightly chilly.
Her ears flattened slightly and a sad look over came her face. "Some say it is the mist that takes them, steals their souls right from their bodies. Many say the strange fog in these woods is made of these souls; forever swirling from one tree to the next... There are tales of dark beasts that roam these woods, wolves in lives long past that drank from the wrong watering hole and now are cursed to walk our world! It is said that their souls never move on to the next world and over time their bodies grow and become something much uglier." She shook her head slowly.
"Ghastly sounds can be heard during nights with full moons. Ghastlier when no moon rests in the sky... But you do not believe these stories, do you?" She asked slowly, looking up and meeting his eye. She had an odd look about her, almost as if she was on the verge of a panicked break down. It was... well false, to be honest. These were her own pack stories, it helped keep intruders out.

Oki showed no emotion on his face when the story was told to him. He wasn't one to be scared by ghost stories, however he wasnt one to through out a possible challenge either. Oki had heard stories of demons and monsters as a pup and he dreamed of one day fighting and killing one such creature. He wouldnt start a fight with a demon, however, if it had done nothing wrong.
Oki was a wolf full of justice and pride. He was one who traveled place to place after the herd. What he would never tell you is that it was not just travel for food, but travel for a worthy challenge. Something to prove him self a strong warrior, and after defeating that challenge he would move on for ever in search of another worthy challenge.
However a ghost could not be touched, Oki did take this in to account. There was no challenge here just ghosts by the sounds of it.
He was a bit naive in the way he did believe in her story, yet he didnt say anything and his face didnt say anything his eyes said it for him.
"Thats quite a tale," He said eyes locked on to hers with no expression showing on his face. "I will take that into account next time I pass through these woods." Her story didnt scare him off, it had just made him a bit more eager to pass by these woods every chance he got while following the herd.

She just smiled slightly and sighed. As long as he was passing through perhaps Shadow would not grow too worried about this warrior... She nodded after a minute, more to her thoughts than his words. "Yes, always keep dangers in mind." She replied, grinning now.
"It was lovely to meet you but now I must retreat back to my beginnings." She stated and bowed to him before turning to go.

Oki bowed his head as she took her leave. He understood that she must have had her reasons. He him self had needed to keep moving. The sun seemed to already be dipping behind the land scape. It was late for sure and Oki didnt want to be in these woods past dark. It would be an easy ambush here, even more so since he had a disadvantage.
He turned the other direction and kept true to his orginal path. Glancing back only once he found the female had completely disapeared into the forest land scape. Perhaps she was a ghost or one of the spirits of the forests. Oki did not know but he would ponder it while he traveled about their meeting.
