Foreign people working in our shops. It annoys me.
I went to McDonalds and tried to order a plain chocolate McFlurry, it took me a good 10 minutes trying to explain to the woman what i meant, then she goes: "Ahh Dairy Milk, Ya!"
gonk
Same goes for KFC.
I fear going into these fast food places now, thinking i may not be understood. In my own town.

Maybe you had to explain to him because Plain chocolate and dairy milk aren't the same ******** thing. He probably though you were a loony. Don't judge people.

Well I'm obviously foreign myself so foreigners do not bother at all, but it does annoy me when they hire someone who can't speak understandable English to do counter services... it just doesn't make a lot of sense to me...... If they can't speak English properly give them another job that doesn't require direct customer contact...duh...

Well, thinking about it from a foreign persons perpective, they've come to work in this country for whatever reason, they have a very basic grasp of the english language and know nothing about Englands culture or how the people react. Trying to earn money in a foreign country must be horrible.

Trying to earn money in a foreign country must be horrible. But surely they'd be better off getting a job where they don't have to serve people as much as they do in a place like McDonalds where they know children as young as 7 or 8 will be ordering food and won't understand them. But then again, McDonalds gives basic pay and will take on ANYONE.
I'd hate to work there.

Trying to earn money in a foreign country must be horrible. It is...especially when girls come over here to be whores and tell their family back home they have a 'respectable job' as a waitress... But they shouldn't be on the counter if they can't speak English.

Why should anyone have to work in a place they don't want to be in? If they're here legally they have all rights to get jobs where the employer will let them, if they can speak english, al be it poor english, they have the same right as you or any other person. If it had been an english person that was so s**t thick they could barely speak english, then I'd expect it to be a problem.
How many other languages can you speak well enough to move to that country and work there? They can only improve by using their skills and learning more.

Yeah, i can understand your point but maybe they shouldn't be put in a place where they can't cope very well at first. Just let them build their way up the ladder.

Ah, The japanese and strange game shows. 30 minutes of crazy people doing crazy things only to reach the climax where they all lose. Good times.
