Oh how he missed his family, at least the few members he had to call family. His older brother had been missing for quite sometime now and his father was never anywhere to be seen. The only thing he could was wish on the distant stars in hopes they would come back for him soon enough.
As for now, the young Solar cub had no one to talk to except for the sky. And it was times such as these that he wished it could talk back.

((I could throw Lakona in here too, if you wish...))
Kalliska went trotting through the lands, heart light. Her father had given her leave to wander, and she did so happily... She had learned it was her grandmothers, and grandfather's way, and was glad she had inherited their trademark ways... Rellick had taken one look at her pleading lilac eyes and said yes... "YES!" She giggled and leapt into a run, ready to enjoy her freedom to the fullest. She couldn't wait to see what kind of friends she would meet!

The fallen star sighed in frustration, bored out of his mind as he laid in the tall grass that tickled his violet belly and starry paws. It was a pleasant day outside with little wind and white puffy clouds in which he often enjoyed bestowing shapes upon, but he wasn't in the mood. Somnus rolled his eyes and exhaled lightly, if only he could make friends as easily as others.

As she pranced along Kalliska became aware of the fact she wasn't the only lion out wandering.. Skittering around several adults she made her way across the lands, in search of a cub or two to play with... That would be fun! But who? And where? Maybe she could run into Somnus, and that bratty male.. What was his name? She scrunched up her nose... "What was his name?" She wondered. "Somnus would remember... Not that it matters..."

He was unable to be seen within the grass, which towered over his small cub form. It was good cover from predators seeing his coat didn't provide the needed protection because of it's bright blue, purple, and pink tones. Maybe a nap would calm his nerves and cease his boredom, passing some of those long hours of the day.
Just as the small kit closed his eyes, the sound of a nearby voice was heard. It came from the muzzle of a female, a familiar sounding one at that. His shy and cowardly nature held him back from moving an inch, however, and he decided to speak instead. "H-hello?" Somnus snapped his jaw shut and threw his paws over his eyes. He hoped to god it wasn't a hyena.

Kalliska skidded to a highly ungraceful stop, nearly tripping over her own paws at the sound of another's voice. A voice she knew... It belonged to a small male that looked like the sky, and made her smile. "SOMNUS!" She giggled, looking around. "Where are you?" Well that was a stroke of luck! She'd been thinking about her friend.. And then! She'd heard his voice. Was it really Somnus? Or was she just hearing things? "Somnus?" She called again, trotting toward a rock to clamber atop of and get a better look around.
