AH, not much going on in this subforum yet, eh? ^^ Thought I'd just post a few of my more recent stuff then just for fun.  ^ This one is Chimer, a character which belongs to a friend of mine. Kinda just a quicky-type thing.  ^ There was also this oekaki drawing.. Which sadly, I don't think I'll ever be finishing. :0  ^ Ah, and this one. I don't really like it so much anymore, but everyone else seems to like it. x3 I used a magazine image for a reference.

The first one is really good for a quick piece. I really like the background, too.
The realism in the second is absolutely amazing. I would love to see the background finished some time. I was wondering, do you use a tablet for your art, or a mouse?
As for the third one, it's really good shading. The way the coat and hair contrasts with the background and face really helps everything stand out. The boots are really good as well, with the folds and shinyness. The one thing that sort of bothers me is that the nose looks a little bit crooked. (And I think you got a piece of hair stuck in your scanner.)

Yeah.. Noticed that hair there before, I was just being too lazy to scan it again or edit it out. Hehe. Anywho, thanks! I see what you mean about the nose, it does look a bit crooked. Also, yes, I do use a tablet pen- a very crappy one that keeps dying on me lately *curses it.* Thanks again! : )

Sweet!! Thank you very much for the participation! I'll be puttin' some up to, hopefully.
I like the first on the best, as it is the most finished. 3nodding In fact, it looks finished, and the colors you chose and the evenness of them make it look like an animation cell. Very nice effect.
The second one is great, we know it's not finished, but it has a lot of character. There is enough work in it already and it would be a great asset if you do complete it- real things like this belong in your portfolio if you ever go t get a job in art. ^^
The third is cool, the textures are treated well. It will look even realer with darker shadows in a few places. The nose thing, maybe a bit crooked, but it's actually too low on the face too, and the nose being low forced the lips and chin down to give her head an elongation. If the nose were is put in right spot (the middle of the face), this will all be corrected.
- Let me know if I sould too critical everyone, I'm used to 'just the facts' type critiquing in class. sweatdrop

Frogsnack -- Oh, no, no! Certainly not too critical! In fact, if you ever want to, go right ahead and critisize the heck out of my stuff... Unless of course I ask for no crisism (which I rarely do). Also, I'll try working on that last one a bit more once I get it back. : ) Thanks! <3

Ok the third one, I like tis one a lot, probablybecause i maily do manga drawings i almost never do realism. The nose thing, yeh i kinda agree with Frog and for some reason i keep looking at her right foot as it there's something wrong with it, but i cant quite place it.... sweatdrop

Her right foot, the one on the left to us?
The middle of the foot (arch) goes down slightly instead of curving up. 3nodding

Thanks! ^^ ..I still don't see what's wrong with the left foot there. Looks fine to me. I'm thinking maybe because it's at a strange angle you think it looks funny? Dunno. *stares at it for a few more hours*

Well the size on it and all is fine, it fits in well with the drawing and all, but when you look down from where the ankle is, to her heel, it looks (to me) as if she either has two heels (one in front of the other), or her heel is too tall and her foot is really bent.
Do you know what I mean?
