Yazoo had been finding himself alone alot lately and because of this he found that he was getting out more. It was lonely at that big castle without anyone to talk to let alone annoy.
Today had dawned a bright and sunny day so he had decided to make his now daily hike into town to just be around the people.
Sitting on the fountain edge he grinned as he watched the same old baker walk by carrying the same old bread for sale. It was such a provential little place this part of Traverse.
Twirling a flower he had picked from one of the many feilds he had passed he thought about the mundane as he waited for his favorite part of the day.

Carrying a basket of roses to sell in the town, Aurora did her best not to skip. Her brothers refused to come to the castle again, but she wasn't too bothered by that fact. It was good to get out and into town with other people, after all.
As she walked along the railing that ran around part of Traverse Town, she noticed someone sitting on the fountain. Never one to resist curiouslity, she went towards the other person, smiling at them, "Hello, I don't think we've met!"

Blinking once he turned his head in the direction of the voice. What a pretty girl he thought as he tilted his head to the side and replied "Nope I think I would have remembered you."
Petting the side of the fountain he wasn't occupying he concluded with "Why not take a seat and we can introduce ourselves?"

Taking the offered seat, Aurora couldn't help but blush a little. She'd thought the boy was a girl at first glance! But she wasn't going to say that. Offering her hand, she smiled and said, "I'm Aurora. What's your name?"

Reaching out his own hand he shook hers replying "Yazoo. Whatcha got in the basket?"
Curiousity was one of his more annoying qualities, or so he had been told, he however found it to be a better part of his personality. Scooching closer he was now right beside the young girl trying his best not to peer over her shoulder to see into the wicker holder on her lap.

Unable to keep a blush down as the boy moved closer, tilting the basket. "Roses grown in my greenhouse at home." The roses shifted, soft petals glistening with a slight dew. Delicately picking one up, Aurora held up the crimson flower, showing off the careful attention that had gone into their growing and care.

Mildly disappointed that it wasn't something cool like shiney rocks or toys, Yazoo nodded less enthusiastically before he saw the delicate petals.
His bow like mouth opened in a small "o" as he took in the soft velvet of the rose before reaching out to touch it. Hesitating for a moment he asked "Can I touch it?"
It was so small and fragile that it's beauty had now caught his complete attention. "It's so pretty." he breathed.

Lifting a rose out of the basket, she handed it to Yazoo with a smile. "Of course you can touch it! It's not like it'll burst into flames, is it?" Her mild emberassment was replaced very quickly by pride. Someone was admiring HER roses!

Smiling Yazoo let his hand close around the stem. Taking it from her he brought it to his nose smelling the almost bitter scent before drawing back.
"It has a different smell then the ones at the Castle." he remarked mostly to himself but not so quietly she wouldn't hear.
He wasn't sure that it would burst into flames but Sephy had called him a hot head before so he better be careful with Aurora's flower.

Tilting her head, Aurora tried to think on this. "It does? How so? Maybe it's something I'm doing in my green house..." She smelled one of the roses, smiling at the scent. It as so nice, to her at least, to smell the roses. It almost seemed that a clump of rose bushes in one place had a different group personality than a clump of bushes in another place. Strange as it sounded, it's what she thought.

Stopping for a moment from his contemplations of the flower in his hand Yazoo scrunched up his nose in thought. How was it different? He wasn't sure, it just was.
"Well..... I'm not sure but I think your flower just smells sweeter. You know?" he finally replied quietly. That seemed like the right answer but there was something else he couldn't quite put his finger on.

When she thought about it, he was right. They DID smell sweeter. She smiled, inhaling the scent of the flower again. After a moment, she put it back in the basket. "Sweet flowers raised by a sweet person, you could say." Running a finger over the rose petals a moment, she smiled at Yazoo. "I guess like people... To me... The rose bushes all have different personality. Like... The ones growing here like a lot of people seeing them, while the ones in my greenhouse like privacey."

"So they're like people then." Yazoo replied as a statement instead of a question. It made sense. Since people were alive and could be completely different then why couldn't flowers that were equally alive?
"I wonder if that means that they all have spirits too?" he asked turning his bright aqua eyes on the young girl. It was an interesting theory.
