She didn't often wander far from the camp that she'd been in for... As long as she could remember. She had woken up one day from a quiet slumber in a dark basket into a world that was... Strange. It wasn't the sort of world that any others like her, save for her sister, seemed to know.
Agisdi had taken to disappearing from time to time more often now. She was adventurous, her sister was, wanting to lean more about everything; wanting to explore. She... Wasn't all that sure about that herself.
The longest distance that she'd ever gone had taken her to the other side of the lake where she now stood. Water swished around her ankles as she pranced around in it, kicking up droplets only to watch as they splashed down around her. Water was beautiful and the display, as childish as it may seem, made her giggle. She could have a good time close to home, couldn't she? Of course she could!

"Aye, Aye, Aye aye..." Kileyo's singing voice called out (much, much better than his mother's though definitely far from the best) as he trotted around the lake. His wings fluttered, his horn glimmered just as beautifully as his body - the birds were singing. Oh what a beautiful day! Nothing could bring him down! Nothing in the worl--Oh!
"Guliiii?" he called, trotting down faster toward her. Wings were flared out to keep him from going too fast and stumbling like he usually did, "That yoooou?" Playful, happy mooded Kileyo. He'd grown up - not completely his mother's son. He was much more fond of being serious than Fortune and Safi were, oddly enough, but he did have a short attention span most of the time.

Her eyes went wide and she froze as she heard what sounded like her name. Granted, it could also be the crazed howl of something terrifying but turning her head she easily crossed out that idea. No big, terrifying creature. Just a big Soquili that looked... Familiar. There was something about the sheen of the coat and shine of the horn that...
"Kileyo-bird?" She leaned closer, attempting to examine the stallion to see if she could tell whether or not she was right before waiting for him to confirm it. She wound up stumbling in the water, almost landing with a large splash before looking up sheepishly at the Soquili that had been much smaller when they'd first met. Now he was taller than she was!

He most certainly was! Very tall indeed, and he was proud of that fact too. Could fly as well, and heal - though neither as good as he'd like to. "That's my name," he said, calming down as soon as he reached her and standing perfectly still. "In the flesh. Did you miss me, Guli? Look at how big I am now!" Definitely no longer a foal.
Much to his parents' relief, he was sure. He'd been such a handful.

She seemed absolutely delighted as his words confirmed the name she'd given him. She scrambled out of the water, trotting around him to confirm everything that her eyes hadn't believed upon first glance. She stopped beside him, playfully butting her head against his shoulder.
"Kileyo-bird giant." She'd picked that word up from her sister. Agi had used that word alot to describe whatever it was that had made her come back to the camp, afraid to head out for days. She'd used other words as well, of course, but none of them seemed to suit the situation any.

He laughed quite pleasantly at the head butt against his shoulder and leaned down to nudge at her with his own head, "Mmm, yes. Giant is definitely what I am. Could eat you all up if I wanted to, Guli! How have you been, beautiful?" Oh, he had a tongue on him didn't he? Sort of? Well, Guli was indeed beautiful. Most mares were, he'd come to realize, even if his interactions with them were minimal. There was his sister, of course, and he thought she was absolutely gorgeous (not that he'd mention THAT to her) and his mother and of course there were the rest of the female's in his father's herd.
Not to mention he'd realized that it was good to give compliments rather than point out bluntness. Like the age thing with Selene. That had...not gone over well.

She paused for a moment in the back of her mind to think on whether or not Kileyo would actually try to eat her. She tilted her head up, examining his mouth for a moment. She didn't see any big, scary fangs and he didn't carry the same scent as any of the 'meat things' that Ayatas and Tsisqua brought into the camp. He was safe. "Silly."
She giggled at his compliment, nosing him once more before moving so that she could inspect his wings. They had gotten bigger too! The feathers seemed fuller; more vibrant with their slight shine of color. "Kileyo-bird fly?" He'd mentioned that before, hadn't he? Getting bigger so that he could fly like the other birds?

"Yes, I do fly indeed! It's a wonderful feeling, being up in the air like that." A dreamy smile touched his face. Oh, yes, it had been tedious to learn how to do it with Safi as his instructor. Oh, he was fun enough, but he never let him PUSH and was always telling him to be careful and scolding him for trying too hard and going a step further. So what if he fell on his rear?
He wouldn't mention that he couldn't fly as high as his father, though. That was embarrassing.

She took a deep breath, releasing it slowly in her own dreamy way as she stared up at the sky. She couldn't imagine anything like flying. The thought of falling spooked her. It must be different for ones with wings like Kileyo had.
She turned back to her friend, flashing him a bright smile. "Good!" He seemed very happy about this flight thing, even if she would have been frightened by it had she wings. "Kileyo is Kileyo-bird!" He was now! He could fly!

The dreaminess was shaken off and he laughed, "Chirp, I say. How have you been, though, you never answered me." He leaned in to give her an affectionate nudge before flopping down on his rear and spreading his wings. No doubt his pristine, rainbow like rear would become clouded with dirt - but that was something a little water would cure instantly.
He hadn't quite lost his foal-like playfulness, though, and the mischief of when he was younger still showed in those eyes.

She giggled when he imitated a bird's chirp, watching him as he sat down. Even with a little dirt, Kileyo was still a very pretty giant-bird. She had never seen feathers like his anywhere else before... None of the feathers that Ayatas collected as decorations were anywhere near as colorful as these ones.
"Hmm." She paused for a moment, tilting her head as she pondered. "Good." She smiled brightly. Agisdi hadn't been all that happy lately but her sister's mood had done little to tarnish her own. The summer days were beautiful and now they were made even better because she had seen her friend again. "Very good."
