Baby of Mine

Baby mine, don't you cry
Baby mine, dry your eyes

"All the world's a stage, and it's people only actors!"
This was none other then our Fantom, spouting his usual nonsense to his acting troupe. It had been a strange day, indeed it had... But it was for no cause that one would disregard their responsibilities as both acting couch and sole producer of such an exquisite work.

Rest your head close to my heart
Never to part, baby of mine

Pushing the false bangs from his face, he paraded onto the stage. Naturally, in all it's ironic glory, he was the one cast for the roll of none other then Erik Destler, the self-proclaimed "Opera Ghost." Andrew Loyd Webber would have been proud to hear his work sang with such fiery passion that came deep from the belly of this musical beast. However... one thing puzzled the audience.
Never before had they encountered a Phantom with such a strange accessory hanging around his neck...

Little one when you play
Don't you mind what you say

But as with all acts of passion; both good, bad and disputable; it takes a toll on your physical capabilities. As the guardian slowly trekked into his house (Still clad in both costume and wig), he pulled off his cape and laid it neatly upon the kitchen table. Leaning back, he smiled quietly at his daughters work. It was coming along quite nicely, especially so considering she had no training.
"So this is why she wasn't at the theater." he mused, kneeling by the newer portion of the mural. He couldn't yet tell what this beautiful shade of blue was to become, but upon further inspection, he could nearly see the outline of a young woman.. and a fish...
"She must be getting to mythology." he re-assured himself, turning to head up the stairs and to his long-desired bed.
Again forgetting his attire, he flopped lazily onto his blankets.
Before long, he drifted off into the world of sleep...
But it seemed that the dreams he was meant to view tonight were far more real then one would care to admit.

Let those eyes sparkle and shine
Never a tear, baby of mine

(A Summery for DG:
Fantom do play;
Fantom come home;
Fantom go nini;
Fantom have funny dream-dream.)

As he slept his soul floated above his body, a ghostly form that luckily did not leave him dead again. Beneath the man, his figure was obviously sleeping, dreaming. And before him was a door, and the relic on his neck-a spirit as well, glowing dimly-beckoned him to enter.

Fantom was... Confused.
Again.
True he didn't quite understand but... All doors have to go somewhere, right? Putting his laughingly referred to 'higher problem-solving skills' to good use, he quickly assumed this had something to do with the coming of his charged deity.
Giving one last glance in the direction of his other form, he quickly thrust open the door.

When he passed through the door it vanished behind him, leaving him in the place that he currently was. This place was like an underwater kingdom-crystal halls and out the window obvious water.

Laying slumped in a highbacked chair was one of the most beautiful creatures to have ever existed and to see her at all was quite an amazing feat, let alone living to tell the tale.

Tresses, long and loose, that flowed like the tides of the purest sea, cerulean in color with shades of indigo and highlights of diamond. Her skin was almost the color of aquamarine, glistening and shimmering like it was liquid in female shape. An ample bossom, left bare and magnifiscent, covered only by a few strands of her hair. An hourglass figure, waist slim with wide childbearing hips. Or what would have been childbearing hips, for in place of where most women would have their legs separate, flowing down from her hip bones and abdomen, was the tail of a fish. Long and wide at the top, thining slowly as it lengthened, with scales of sapphire, aquamarine, crystal and pearl, all mixing to one elegant jewel of the sea. The end of her tail was white, flowing and long like the tail of a kite almost or the train of the most elegant dress. It was a fin but quite decorative, almost like a koi's fin only longer and more lovely.

She seemed so strong, so wonderful, and so powerful. In her hand was what was almost a tritan though more elegant and much more deadly. Almost like a scythe and a crossbow mixed with a black staff portion that held light blue glowing runes. Beads and crystals hung from chains around the staff's base and a large orb with a giant crystal spike were the bottom of it. However the mark on her chest, in her collar bone almost, indicated that she'd been stabbed with her own weapon and removed it herself after wrestling it back. The mark wasn't really a mark but a red line to indicate that she'd died that way. Were it not for her lack of breath and the line, one would think she was merely in a coma or asleep.

And the relic around Fantom's neck seemed to want him to touch her.

The guardan-to-be stepped a bit closer, taking in the scenery and, of course, the dearly departed. This was unnerving. Understanding the laws of earth, he knew he shouldn't touch her in such a state... but what if she wasn't dead? He was an artist, it's not like he knew any better. And yet... his ever persistent random thoughts chose now to rear their ugly head. If she's not breathing... would she need CPR?
As he was in such a position as delicate as this, he couldn't afford not to try to help the strange woman. Stabbed or not, even mortals have survived worse. And so he extended a hand, grabbing hold of her broad shoulder.

When his hand touched her shoulder her entire body lit up, as did the relic, with a white light that shrouded the two objects from view. As if it had not ever been solid, the relic shot from his neck and into the woman whose soul it was. Slowly the form start to shrink and in moments the glowing ceased leaving in it's wake an adorable human girl with large ears, blue skin, and long dark blue hair. And next to her, the staff.

This was all too surreal for his liking. Looking around in a panic, he slowly came to realize who this was. It was his his precious charge; the soul reason behind his death and again re-life; the one the strange boy had told him about not too long prier; this little being was his only chance for the second child his wife could never give him. So, he did what and respectable parent would do. He scooped up the child and hugged her close to his chest, ever affectionate as a father should be.

When he had claimed the child, the door opened again, this time in front of him so that he could leave through it with the girl and her weapon-which he had to claim to be able to reenter his body-and when they woke up they could get situated and maybe he could call the ship.
