For years, the country of Kuneer has been cut off from the rest of the world. An evil dictator is to blame. But he died long ago. The barriers will not fall. It's as if his spirit is still keeping everyone trapped inside. What's worse is that a war has been raging inside the city. And now there are rumors that other countries are under attack as well. Is this what we've become? And how will this end? The answers lie in the 7 Crystals. But, where could they be?

In fact, she's been very sickly due to the barrier surrounding Kuneer. Her best friend, Mina, was murdered by Kun-Opps soldiers when she was trying to break down the barriers. History: Linn recently arrived in Kuneer through a failed (or, maybe.. failed is the wrong word) attempt at inter-dimensional travel and seeks a way out. Unfortunately, his magic is hampered by the barrier surrounding his new surroundings, and he has even been forced to tattoo runes onto himself to retain his powers of illusion, which he has deemed too important to lose.

It was early morning in Dali, of course, you never really could tell. The barriers always projected the image of a night sky over the small country. Eiko walked out of her home quietly, as not to wake her parents. She wasn't supose to be out so early since the barriers were weakened at this time and there were Kun-Opps soldiers everywhere. She carefully climbed onto a tree limb and onto her roof. She liked comming up her to stare at the stars, even if they weren't real, it helped her relax. She sighed and closed her eyes, but a sound made her dart up.
"Who's there?" She asked into the darkness.
"Calm down Eiko..." A voice said and stepped from the shadows. It was Shinji.
"What are you doing here?" Eiko asked and stood up.
"I should be asking you that." Shinji said and sat next to her. "You know the Kun-Opps are out patroling. If they find you they might kill you."
"Well, it's not like we're going to destroy the barrier from here..." She muttered.
Shinji shook his head. "Besides, didn't the medics say you should stay inside?"
"Oh Shinji...you know I can't stay cooped up in my house like a bird in a cage. Besides, I can't see the stars from my room..."
"Ok, ok. Hey, since I can tell you're feeling a little better, why not meet me at the fountain around noon?" Shinji asked and stood.
Eiko nodded. "Ok. I'll see you then." with that, Shinji jumped from the roof and out of sight.

"Come back!" Screamed an few angry shopkeepers. They were chasing two young boys who had a sizable lead.
They were Zelik and Damion, two thieves who had a bundle of food in their arms.
"Over hear!' Damion whispered and they jumped over some rubble then ran down a dark alley and out of sight. Zelik watched as the stupid shopkeepers ran right on by. Once the coast was clear they burst out laughing.
"How easy was that?" Damion asked. Quiet Zelik nodded alittle.
"The dumb ones are so easy to fool." He said and they laughed again.
Damion took a large chunk out of the loaf of bread in his arms.
"It's still warm!" He said and muttered, "Mmmm..."
Zelik smiled and joined in.

Eiko was about to head inside when she heard laughing no too far away. She stood and jumped roof to roof until she was sure she was at the source of the laughter. She summoned a tiny shadow demon to investigate.

"We'll be needing our strength tonight won't we?" Damion asked.
"Maybe not you." Zelik replied. "But I will. It's hard to keep up with your speed."
Damion smiled and took a chunk of bread.
"So, tonight we'll be heading for the center of town right?" He asked.
Zelik nodded.
"The Kun-Opps' headqaurters...hopefully we'll-"
Damion clamped a hand over Zelik's mouth.
"Quiet." He whispered and his eyes scanned the alley. Damion had a gift for seeing in the dark. He spotted the demon and sent a ball of fire at it.

Eiko gulped as the small demon was incenerated before her eyes. "Who are they, I haven't seen them around before..." She whispered and leaned over the edge of the roof just a little bit.

Damion pushed Zelik into the shadows.
"Why did you attack thin air? And stop pushing me!" Zelik whispered. He couldn't see the demon since it was dark out.
"We're being watched. Change into a crow." Damion said and pointed above him.
Zelik nodded and feathers engulfed his body as he changed into a black crow and shot into the sky. He then transformed back into human form and landed on the roof behind Eiko.
"What are you doing up here?" He asked. Damion appeard beside him. He had simply jumped from the ground to the roof with hardly any effort.

Damion shook his head.
"I did....I think....It was years ago....I can't remember how I did IF I did....uh..." He rubbed his temples confusing himself.
"You never answered us." Zelik said coldly. "What are you doing up here?"
