Not at all. If anything, they destroyed it. In my opinion really. I mean there were other bands before Nirvana making a dream live on. Green River really put it on the map I guess....

Nirvana exposed it the mainstream with it's irresistable catchy tunes and put the lime light on grunge, then broke up... died, inspiried some good and bad post grunge and blah... now we have even worse stuff that the post grunge brought about.

Which totally blows, because Alice in Chains was a much better band than either of those.

And yeah, Nirvana killed grunge. If it had stayed underground, it might still be around today.

i dont think Nirvana killed grunge.....I think they brought it to the radio and made it.....popular? Especially since Kurt's death was MEGA huge at the time.

i was a baby in '94 soooo i cant say i was sad. confused

The popularity is what killed it. More popularity = more money = more heroin for Kurt and Layne.
