Recently I have fallen in love with Immortal. I love just about everything about them. Probably one of my favorite bands at the moment.
So, favorite album? Song?
Me: I love Battles in the North and Sons of Northern Darkness. And the song Blashrykh (There are two other words to that title, but I can't remember...)

Digital Malevolence i never could seem to get into them...i do enjoy the vocals though. 3nodding That's one of the things I like most.

i got the holiday issue of guitar world, and as usual it was mostly a waste of time. however it did have a fantastic interview with abbath and demonaz that was at time humorous and very interesting throughout.
unfortunately, guitar world has become a laugh most of the time, and i can't wait until my subscription runs out.

They're good for a few laughs but in the end they are a downright terrible band. confused

Blashrykh Mighty Raven Dark is the song you're thinking of probably. I think Immortal is my second favorite BM band.

The lyrics are really powerful, as are the instrumental solos and etc. I really like them too.

robin2220 They're good for a few laughs but in the end they are a downright terrible band. confused Tastes are tastes... confused I really like them.. great lyrics and songs get stuck in the ear.. I don't have a fave since I like alot of their songs. Maybe "whitstand the fall of time" or "call of the wintermoon" as faves.

Immortal have some good songs (Sons of Northern Darkness, Solarfall, Demonium, Beyond the North Waves), but I don't really like most of their stuff. I enjoy their melodic and clearly sung songs to their brutal vocal butchering bad quality BM-songs. razz
I saw them live last summer at Tuska along with Emperor. Emperor were awesome as I've stated and Immortal were for the lulz. Well they did play Sons of Northern Darkness so that was great. Otherwise I was just laughing at them, they were so comic.
