Wow, that was awesome! I've never seen footage like that. All the evidence I've seen were old or blurry. You can't say that Nessie isn't real, since you could clearly see something in that water. 3nodding That's awesome! I've always wanted someone to prove that Nessie is real.

I voted yes, for "could be" but not sure. There is a real possibility that creatures considered ancient could still exist on Earth in isolated locations. It's a bit off topic but I am reminded of the excellent Michael Crichton novel "Eaters of the Dead" (which was made into the awful movie "The 13th Warrior). In the book Crichton asserted the intriguing possibility that isolated pockets of nanderthals were living in the far northern reaches of Europe well into the medieval time period (sorry I don't remember the exact timeframe - but the book involved vikings). So Neanderthal man, bigfoot, or Nessie, might be real and out there somewhere - just waiting for a lucky cryptozoologist to find them.

They've dredged that lake a ton of times and found nothing. They also hit it with radar. How is this thing manging to avoid all this stuff?

The guy already admitted the first photo was a hoax.

I'd like to think Nessie is real, Champ as well since their basically the same thing, just different lakes. Reason is, that while the comet might have finished off the dinosaurs, I do believe other causes were doing their damaged to the dinosaurs, ocean life would not have been so drastically effected, so it's not to far a stretch to think a species of Pleasesaur could have survived and evolved to a smaller size, something that could say migrate up the river from the ocean to Loch Ness and breed/lay eggs. I mean lets face facts, while people could state the sizes they saw, people that recieve sudden shock can also tend to exagerate their stories. So I think it could exist

There is a possibility, but I don't think nessie lives there, I think it just migrates there. They have already shown that there isn't enough food to support anything that large, but such places where there is little food is a great place to birth offspring. Safe water places are one of the major causes of long migrations by some species.

It is also unlikely that the typical image of nessie is an accurate one. People like to imagine a serpents neck curving every which way, but if it is a pleaseeasaur it shouldn't be able to bend its neck like that. The vertebrae would be more likely to have extensive side to side movement for catching fast fish rather than up and down to create the s curve.

The first photo was a hoax, yes. But Nessie was alive and well, even if just in myth at that point! This new footage is convincing, and I don't doubt nessie's out there! I cant prove it either of course!! I mean, these ancient creatures are rare, but case in point, a 50 ton bowhead whale was caught of the coast of Alaska recently, this whale had a bomb lance fragment, which was patented in 1869 embedded in his neck! This wahle was estimated to be over 115 years old, my point is the massive ancient creatures are out there, Nessie, I'd love to have some hard evidence, But I do enjoy the "is she, isn;t she" debate! It certainly makes some good documentaries!!! heart

ooo..Maybe you should watch the news or discovery channel more often.
I am very sorry I dont mean to burst your little bubble. But i have seen MANY tv shows on Nessy and I am still not sure if she is real or not. ...But that picture is fake ..A guy in like i think 1998 took that picture but he MADE it ..With a toy dinosour and then put it in water took the picture and then edited it to make it look like it was from a distance. They found the guy who took the picture and he was talking about how it was a big joke and he had no idea it would go so far...They had a whole intervew on it...

The famous photo is old, but that video is new. If we can catch coelocanths in the ocean, who is to say we can't have another living fossil?
And how much food does an unknown creature eat, if we don't know its diet? Also, loch Ness is cold. Possibly slower metabolism, less food requirements.... And if radar was perfect, none of us would have driver's licenses anymore! They don't catch me nearly as often as they could, and I'm above water, not 750 feet deep! rofl
I choose to believe there is something there! domokun

It looks soo cool!
Great Sci-fi, fantasy film. I'll check it out when it come out in theathers.

I never knew that photo was a fake.
but...I'm not surprised.

The Museum of Natural History frequently receives requests for information concerning the Loch Ness Monster. A recent attempt to find the monster occurred in October, 1987 when 20 cruisers methodically swept the Loch with sonar equipment bouncing sound waves from the surface down to the bottom and electronically recording any contacts. Many salmon were found, but no monster. To date, the actual existence of a monster in Loch Ness has not been proven. Even though most scientists believe the likelihood of a monster is small, they keep an open mind as scientists should and wait for concrete proof in the form of skeletal evidence or the actual capture of such a creature.

A while ago some dude made real footage (real as in he said so) of Nessie. He showed it to some scientists who were so astounded they made up reasons that just didn't fit the film. They didn't want to scare the public so they never showed anyone! ninja scream

The coelocanth is probably not the best exampe to prove that Nessie and Champ (found in Lake Champlane(sp?)) exist. The ancient fish are much smaller and the ocean is much larger and deeper. Also, a whale born in the 1800s is not exactly ancient, considering what we are discussing.
