Okay, so I was at school the other day, and it was near the end of the day, so everyone was talking. This one guy was talking to another guy and two girls, and I guess they were talking about the town where they live. You know how sometimes people are having a conversation nearby and you're just sitting there minding your own business and then out of the blue, something they say just sticks out, and you start listening in? Yeah, well, that happened to me. You know what he said? "You know that lady who always says "Merry meet"? Yeah that's really annoying." I cracked up, I swear. Everyone probably thought I was crazy.

It is an odd saying for those who don't know about the community it originated from. Sounds probably quaintly old-fashioned to most people.
