Morning
As you travel across the countryside, you come across a small glade of evergreen trees, their branches glistening with morning dew. Mist rises off the small pond sheltered by the trees, and birds seem to just be beginning to awaken. Off to one side is a small shrine, red-roofed, an idol resting within. Unobtrusively nearby is a one-room eastern style dwelling, quiet enough to be uninhabited at this hour.
Midday
As you travel across the countryside, you come across a small glade of evergreen trees, that seem to stand guard over the small pond they grow by. Sunlight gleams on the surface of the water, and you think you can see a fish or two darting merrily below. The air is filled with the song of one noisy bird who won't stop repeating 'ca-caw, ca-caw' over and over. Off to one side is a small shrine, red-roofed, an idol resting within. Unobtrusively nearby is a one-room eastern style dwelling, its sliding door wide open. Within can be seen a great mess of things strewn about the floor - traditional shrine maiden robes, books on swordplay in both eastern and western tongue, a fine tooth ivory comb, and other small objects of little value. Seems whoever lives here isn't particularly concerned about thieves...
Night
As you travel across the countryside, you come across a small glade of evergreen trees, huddled around a silvery pond. Moonlight gleams off the water's surface, and every now and again you see a shape move within. No birds sing. Off to one side, barely noticeable till you bump into it in the dark, is a small shrine, red-roofed, an idol resting within. Unobtrusively nearby is a one-room eastern style dwelling. A light burns within, judging by the glow coming from behind the paper doors.
