Okay, I love love LOVE putting my personal touch on anything that's mine. My XBOX is painted purple, my little amry-pack-like purse has a native american stuff sewn on. But the stuff I use everyday is the stuff I really like to play with. My most recent toy, my CD player:  I've had this CD player since 7th grade--I'm in college now. eek And this isn't it's only skin, I have an "every day" one too, but this is a dressy one. I started taking it apart to clean it out and paint it back in high school. I know this CD player inside and out--it's like a part of me. For christmas this past year I bought two more of them from ebay, painted them, and gave them to my two best friends. Each painted to reflect the person it was for. So, does anyone else do this? Or am I alone? It doesn't have to be a CD player, it could be anything! Your cell phone, you desk, your notebook...I don't care! .:. That's really cool! One thing I thought was cool to do was I read somewhere that for an earring rack, you could take some of that fly net stuff that some people have in their doors and whatnot. The black stuff, and put it in a fancy frame, put that frame in your closet, and hang your earrings on the little holes. ^_^ .:.

I wish I could do something like that, except I don't usually have the time. But I do like to make different things out of duct tape, like purses and shoes. And I've made a few cards where I made some paper doll outfits and then assembled them on a card and gave them to friends on their birthday.
But I really love that idea for CD players! I use mp3's, though, and mine is literally the size of an ice-cube. Like as in it's the shape of an ice-cube. The cube kind, not the citrus slice kind.
I'm just verifying that 'cause we have the citrus slice kind.

that's soooooooooo cute!! whee
i don't have much time to do these things but i have lots of jars that are lots of differnet shapes [like hearts and stars~~ :3] that i always decorate with ribbons, bows, butterflies, beads, etc.
and then i fill the jars with paper stars~~ :3

Why don't you fill a few of the jars with candy or something, that's always cute! *hmm...I should decorate my candy jar...*
