Lucius gets off the city bus, ignoring the odd looks from the other passengers as he pushes the double stroller onto the sidewalk. He wore a simple outfit; black khakis and a matching black shirt. His long hair is pulled back out of the reach of his kids with a rubber band and wears sunglasses to hide most of the scars on his left side of his face. The bus pulls away and he sighs as his twins squeal in surprise at the sound. The anthro leans down into the back portion and mumbles softly to the small child seated there.
Alex chirps happily after a moment, his little hands making grabby motions for his father as he continues to chirp.
Junior on the other hand pulls himself up in his front seat and cackles in delight at a passerby, his wings furling out as he waves a hand at the person, an innocent look on his face.

With a sigh and a soft groan, Amyla managed to heave herself up and out of the passenger seat of her silver sedan, Aiodhan's strong hand supporting her by the elbow. "Y'know, I've never looked forward to labor this much ever," she grumbled, annoyed and uncomfortable as usual. Since finding out that she had not one but two little somebodies sharing her body, she had been anxiously looking forward to getting them out and into the world. Every joint in her body was screeching in protest when she moved.
"Me neither. It'll be soon, May," her mate said quietly, bending down to kiss her cheek before steering her towards the store's front doors. "Enjoy whatever sleep you can get now."
The woman snorted as they headed up the sidewalk. "I'm not getting all that much," she said, turning when she heard the sound of little infants. It sounded like someone else had kids out and about, and she smiled faintly at the sight of the male anthro dealing with the two energetic babies. One eyebrow raised as one of the children waved at her, and she lifted a hand to wave back. Wait a minute.... they looked familiar from somewhere...

Lucius Senior notices his older son waving to someone and turns his gaze towards the couple. He raises an eyebrow as he recognizes them from somewhere, his tail twitching as he thinks. Finally their faces strike him and he grins, "Well, it's a small world, isn't it?" He chuckles and goes to start pushing the stroller, heading towards the store. "I see you're expecting again, congratulations."
Alex peers over his brothers head, chirping at the two others, his ears flicking back and forth nervously and yet curiously.
Junior squeals happily at the returned wave, his head sinking down a little as his twin rests on his head.

Aiodhan only took a moment to place where he knew the anthro from. "And getting progressively smaller. I told our daughter that she needs to have her fae friends stop messing with the planet; they'll make it shrink at the rate they're playing with it," the dragon-man replied with a perfectly straight face as he gently guided a still-bewildered Amyla toward the store.
"Errr... thank you. I'm sorry; I know that I know you, I just can't remember from where!" Amyla added with a sigh, resting one hand atop her belly as she walked--no, waddled-- toward the store entrance. She grinned a bit at the infants. "Something tells me that those two are a handful."

Lucius blinks at the straight-faced statement and shrugs, "That and what the population of beings are doing. It'll either shrink or explode. Preferably explode so we won't feel much." He grins and looks down at his sons, "Alex, get off your brothers' head and sit back down, please."
Alex squeaks and slinks back into his seat, chirping up at his father for a moment.
Junior glances up at his dad and then his brother, putting in his own opinion about what his little brother was saying.
The father chuckles and shakes his head, "No idea what you said boys, but we'll figure it out." He glances at Amyla and smiles lovingly at his sons afterwards, "They can be, but it's totally worth it. I never thought I'd have a chance at a family until I met my mate."

Making a wry face, Aiodhan shook his head. "Ehhh... I don't like the whole 'exploding' concept. Makes me nervous, y'know? But yeah, I know what the population is doing. Breedin' like rabbits." He yelped quietly as Amyla thwacked him lightly on the head in admonishment.
"There are children around!" the woman hissed, glaring up at her mate. Her gaze softened as she turned her attention back to the infants, unable to resist a smile at them. "I sort of BSed my way through the family thing, adopting kids and such, until Aiodhan came around. Then we got more kids through adoption, had a few of our own. It's amazing how a family can be so disjointed and different but so... complete, at the same time." Crap. Pregnancy was making her ramble again. What was she supposed to be doing?
Ah yes. Baby clothes shopping.

Alex continues to chirp away, his wings furling out as he does.
Junior squawks and flails his arms as the doors to the store come in his line of vision.
Lucius chuckles, "True, true. I'd prefer it stay right where it was actually. I'd rather not lose my mate or children. I'd be heartbroken. Sure they're a pain in the-Junior sit down right now." He raises an eyebrow at the twin in the front seat.
Junior cringes and slips his leg back into his seat, his tail curling into his lap and a soft chittering coming from him.

Aiodhan snickered at the twins' behavior. "Yeah, royal pain in the nether regions. But that doesn't stop us from loving them." His gaze flicked to Amyla, and he nudged against her gently. "That's what family is, yes?"
"Generally." Amyla rolled her eyes at his obvious demand for forgiveness and insead smiled at the boys. It made her want her kiddos out even more. They were going to completely deprive her of sleep, but it wasn't like they weren't already accomplishing that. At least she'd be able to cuddle them, then. "How old are they?" she inquired, gesturing at the boys.

Lucius chuckles and brushes his blue hair from his face, his scarred eye clearly visible now, this milky white color showing nothing but it's past. "The boys recently turned 2. Dunno why they still refuse to speak English though. Just the chirping and animal sounds. We've tried everything." He sighs lightly as they enter the doors of the store.
Junior squeals in delight, instantly drawing the gazes of everyone around him.
Alex lets out a string of timid chirps and squeaks as he peers about nervously.

Waddling in through the doors, Amyla gave a brief sigh at the size of the store. Gods, she hated walking around this much. It'd be worthwhile, sure, but her ankles were already beginning to protest. She returned her attention to Lucius and the boys for a moment, offering up a sympathetic smile. "Sounds familiar. Our daughter didn't speak much at all. She made some noises and gestures but used few words. Turned out she couldn't hear what we were saying to imitate."
Aiodhan, walking beside Amyla and allowing her to lean on his arm a bit for support, looked thoughtful, the expression a rare one for his face. "Huh. Maybe speaking English is too much work. It is a bit of a pain at times, you know," he said, adding the last part for his mate, who was rolling her eyes at him again.

Lucius shrugs lightly, lifting his claws off the ground so he wouldn't scratch the tile too much. "Who knows. They do seem to get along with other creatures by the chirping they do. Skysong seems to understand them perfectly but refuses change to her other form."
Junior cackles and launches himself out of his seat, his wings spreading out and beating easily.
The father doesn't even look at the boy as he reaches out and snags the childs' tail, yoinking him into his hold. "Thankfully they understand each other and seem to get along most of the time."

Aiodhan grinned. "Maybe you just need a lesson in Chirp?" He snickered loudly at the little boy launching himself from his seat, the volume increasing as the kid was yanked back. "Hehehe. Trying to make a bid for freedom? Word of advice: speed is of the essence," he said, his gray eyes glinting with mischief.
His mate simply sighed and restlessly pawed through a nearby rack of baby clothes. "Wait until they get older."

"Maybe. They take more after the language of tiger and swan. Junior occasionally sounds like a raptor child. Squeaking and chirping is all they really do." He chuckles and flicks Junior on the nose lightly, his forearm showing new scratches that slowly started to turn a lush red.
Alex pulls himself up in the seat and flaps his wings clumsily, flying up to flutter in front of his brother. The younger twin lets out a stream of obviously angry chirps and squeaks.
Junior instantly stops scratching his fathers arm at the flick on his nose, his eyes widening at the 'punishment'. He glances at his brother and narrows his eyes, chirping lightly as his tail twitches.
"I eagerly await that day. I just hope Junior isn't too mean and Alex isn't too timid." He eyes a bin of toys, keeping a close watch on Alex as he tries to continue to fly, eventually settling with perching on the clothing rack nearby while still chirping away at his twin.

Shaking her head, Amyla let out a quiet chuckle. "You'd be amazed how a child's personality can take a one-eighty turnaround when they start to age." Yana had shocked her beyond all reason, as had Kari. She smiled at Alex. "Careful on there. Those things tend to move a bit."
"Eh, they'll learn eventually," Aiodhan snickered, flaring out his wings and swishing his long tail from side to side. "Once they figure out that they can't demand things from you without learning English..."

Alex blinks and looks at Amyla, tilting his head and chirping curiously, wings stretching out and then curling back in. He glances at his brother and lets out a scolding tone, fluttering back to his spot in the stroller.
Junior hangs in his fathers hold, looking at the cuts he made on his dads' arm.
Lucius sighs lightly, starting to feel the sting of the cuts. "At the rate their going, and considering their genetics, they'll stay the darker and lighter twins." He glances at Aiodhan and grins, "They've tried that with their mother already, and have both failed. They don't bother with me since I have no clue what they're trying to hint."
