Seraphotep, son of Meserapotep and Winosis was one of the great Dynast-Kings of Ancient Gaia, he and his queen Ageisis ruled over ancient Gaia between the years 1206 and 1173BC. His kingdom lay between today's Durem and Aekea, but this was all the known world at the time. Seraphotep was revered almost as a God, and was rumoured to have great power over the souls of the living and the dead. A Temple was built in his honour. It took 20,000 men 30 years to build, and on top of it stood an enormous tower over a hundred meters tall, which was the tallest man-made structure to that date.
Seraphotep and Ageisis had three children, two sons Sephotepsis and Serotepsis and a daughter Haesisis. Unbeknown to Seraphotep, Ageisis had an affair with her son Serotepsis when he was 18. Seraphotep found out and had his son executed. Seraphotep was murdered by his queen in 1173BC and she was killed on the spot by his royal guards. They were both mummified and lay to rest in two separate tombs beneath the Temple, along with Seraphotep's vast fortune. The Temple was fitted with many traps and secret passages. The throne went to Sephotepsis and Haesisis.
In 480BC the Temple was raided by thieves and a battle took place between them and the royal guard who were currently in command of the King Jonapotep. The Temple sustained a lot of damage and the tower collapsed into it.
Nearly 2500 years later the Temple was rediscovered by Archaeologists and after extensive excavating, a part of the Temple was made open to the public. The Tombs of Seraphotep and Ageisis, along with his great fortune have still yet to be discovered.
