Nomia was happy for the peace and quiet, though she was silently worrying about her Naiad charge. This was the first time she'd left the lake side without Lethe next to her. But she was at her wits ends with that child lately. A small separation would be healthy for them!
It had been quite a long time since she'd wandered through Loka Nei Forest. In fact, the last time, she remembered, was with Rain, when they went to the Fae Clearing. She quickly put those negative thoughts away to focus on this day. She was determined to make the most of her alone time.
"I forgot how ... tran .. tran... " She stopped in her tracks, thought for a minute about the word she was thinking of, then sighed. "calm ... the forest is." She was speaking to no one in particular, except herself, as she wasn't aware if she was alone or not today.
Her not being able to remember words and miscommunication issues was really starting to bother her.
((FYI - Nomia speaks poor 'common' language, because she came from the lake where a spoken language was not important. She also speaks with a funny accent and commonly stops and stutters words she can't quite remember...if it gets confusing, let me know.))

Ra was happly walking though the forest in his favored form that of a red with white hair at the top of his head. He walked happy to have gotten food into his belly and a good nights rest he was all set to take on what ever the day thrown at him. As he walked though the forest hopping to find one of his friends he herd a strange voice. It was none he had ever herd before.
taking note of what direction the sound was coming from he ran towards it slowing down when he saw the fae. Her accent was a strong one and he could make out a little of what she said. Still in his wolf form he spoke up.
"The forest is very peaceful." he walked up so that she could see him. "It is unlike the other forest that one is darker and not as peaceful as this one. I would not suggest entering it." there was a few growls as he spoke of the darker forest he sounded more like a wolf than a pae at that moment.
"ooh I am sorry I did not introduce my self Amun Ra is the name call me Ra."

Nomia turned abruptly when she heard the voice, and having not seen a pae, but a wolf, standing there and talking to her, she had a minor freak out. She shrieked, not because it was merely a wolf, but ... a talking one.
She backed up, a panicked look upon her face. She didn't know what to say in her defence, even despite the kindness in the tone and words. General rule of thumb for her, was talking animals meant evil possession. She wasn't aware some pae could actually transform into them.
So maybe staying silent was a fib. She did shriek and utter a few exclamations in her native language, but it was doubtful any creature on land would have recognized it as anything other than shrieks.
Knee-jerk reactions sometimes cause her to over react.

Ra watched her as she reacted to his wolf state well he forgot he was in wolf form. As she shrieked he realized the mistake. "ooh I am I sorry so sorry." he quickly changed in to his pae form though his tail was still that of a wolf.
"Relax miss I am a Pae just like you. I just can change in to the form of a wolf when ever I want to. my name is Ra see I am nice I will not hurt you miss."

Once Nomia seen the wolf turn into a pae, she felt very embarassed. Her cheeks deepened in color and she put her hands up in front of her face to try and 'hide'
Slightly muffled, in her broken 'common' speaking voice, she apologized. "Ra... I am sorry I ..." she needed to think hard of the word to describe what she did. "I overreacted."
She peeked through her fingers a little, to see Ra and noticed his tail remained of that of the wolf. She giggled internally, thinking it was kinda cute actually. Like a puppy tail. But she was still too embarassed to look him in the eye right now. "I got startled. I am very sorry!"
It took a moment but she finally got the courage to pull her hands down, but she kept her gaze low. She extended on hand to him. "I am... Nomia."

Ra looked back at his tail. "ooh great that was not supposed to happen." He concentrated on it long enough so that it went away though not his ears changed in to wolf ears. "I guess I was in that form to long. ooh no worries Miss Nomia I forget that my wolf form scares people."
he smiled "nice to meet you Miss Nomia"

Nomia relaxed considerably, but was still highly embarassed. "I just am not used to talking animals." she said a little sheepishly. "I ... actually ... don't see many pae, either." she admitted quietly. Finally pulling her hands from her face, she extended her right one, to finally greet Ra properly. "It is nice to meet you, Ra." she smiled, trying to make eye contact but was distracted by his wolf ears. She couldn't help but giggle at his inability to control his shape.

"It is ok no one really is though I think many of the children and toddlers I meet have an easier time accepting my animal form." he looked at her calmly. "I do not see many Fae pae like you around here but I guess I I have had my eyes closed so long that I have not seen any one really." He took her hand and shook it softy.
Noticing her gaze her moved his hand to his head and felt the two wolf ears. "Well that is not supposed to happen."
