wow! It's already been 2 months since I last visited Gaia! I so wanted to visit Gaia but my PC at home has a problem with Gaia's server or something like that... cause everytime I access Gaia, it always says "Slow Down! please try again later" (or something like that... i can't really remember it...) gonk
anyway, here's the compilation of some news about F4 changing their name to JVKV... maybe you already know about it bacause it's been around for some time (actually since around April 2007) but I'll still post it here for the sake of those who still don't know about this... heart ------------------------------------ F4 is now renamed as JVKV

Taiwan tourism idol drama produced by Angie Chai "Guo Shi De Yan Lei" is
scheduled to start filming in July. Regarding the cast, she said: "U may not
know, F4 is now renamed as JVKV (representing the 1st alphabet from each of
their english names).
She expressed that after changing name, there will be no sayings of new F4
or who replacing who. From the start, Jerry and Vanness are unable to
participate fully coz they have other work planned. Only Zai & Ken will be
the main lead.
"F4" is now a well known name, to change now is not easy.
Angie Chai explained, F4 is a name for the characters in Hana Yori Dango. At
that time, they had the rights to use the name from the Japan publisher. But
now, Japan has also filmed their own version of the drama, in the future
there will be different countries of F4. Therefore, the publishers hope that
they will not use "F4" for non Hana Yori Dango related matters.
For the international fans gathering held recently, they have already start
using the name "JVKV"

Famous Taiwan boy band F4 has to abandon their name.
They are now called JVKV instead.

Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu became famous during one
night in 2001, thanks to the release of a TV series named Meteor
Garden. And the name of their group F4 just came from the roles they
played in that series.
However, the name F4 was permitted by the Japanese publisher of Hana
Yori Dango or Boys over Flowers, and now Japan has required that the
name no longer be used.
Angie Chai, the dramas producer, said they had no choice but to change
the group's name. JVKV coming from the first letter of the four boys
English name, is going to take place of F4 in all the occasions in the
future.
After Meteor Garden, the four boys have been seeking to develop
careers in both acting and music - together as well as setely.
In 2001, they signed a record deal as F4 with Sony, and since then,
have released two albums.

Recently, F4 changed their name to "JVKV". However this new name is only for
the endorsement events organized by the Tourist Bureau. Learned about their
new name, the four baffled in laughs and found it sounds awkward. In future,
when they introduce themselves, they will still say, "Hello, everyone! We
are F4!"
"JVKV" is taken from the initials of their English names, "Jerry" Yan Cheng
Xu, "Vanness" Wu Jian Hao, "Ken" Chu Xiao Tian and "Vic" Zhou Yu Ming. It
ranks in accordance to their ages. This new name was used on the
International Fans Meeting held in Taiwan on April 22, 2007. Nevertheless,
"JVKV" was not in use other than adapted on their peripheral products. The
four still call themselves as F4. Besides, it was heard that Vic's fans
discontented with the ranking. From their viewpoint, the second V should
represent Vic to be in line with his popularity. It should not be Vanness.

Vic's manager Wang Yi Xuan expressed, JVKV will only be used on occasions
when they appear together. Most of the time, four of them will usually have
their individual events, so ranking should not become an issue. Vanness Wu's
manager Zhou Jun Yi indicated that their order to come on stage were always
determined by their ages. What if fans disagree with the ranks? He replied,
"Every one of them is of vital importance to us." Couple days ago, someone
reported on BBS forum that Vic went to Fu Tian to
commemorate his ex-lover, Beatrice Xu (Xu Wei Lun) but Vic denied.
Yesterday, it got clarified that the person was not Vic. It was Mike He who
went to commemorate on Qing Ming Festival.

IT'S not as catchy as F4 but JVKV is the new name for the Taiwanese boy
group.

Angie Chai, the producer who created the 2001 idol drama *Meteor
Garden*that shot the four boys to fame, revealed this in the midst of
rumours that she might find a replacement for one of F4's members, Jerry Yan.
He reportedly dropped out of a new idol drama which Chai is producing for Taiwan's tourism bureau. She was said to have eyed Taiwanese star Mike Ho as a replacement.
But Taiwan's *United Daily News *quoted her as saying: "F4 is changing its name to JVKV, so there is no new F4 to speak of."
She said only F4's Vic Chou and Ken Chu could act in the new drama as Yan and Vanness Wu were busy.
F4, a name used in Taiwan's *Meteor Garden *series, originated from a
Japanese manga. The Japanese publisher had allowed its use in the series, Chai said, but since Japan has come up with its own TV series, both countries end up using the same name.
The publisher had asked for the use of the F4 name to be avoided, outside
the *Meteor Garden *series, Chai added.
The name JVKV – standing for the first letters of the boys' names – was used at an F4 fans' meeting held in Taipei recently by the tourism bureau.

The Star magazine and the China Daily newspaper reported that the publisher
Shueisha has asked the popular male idol band F4 to rename itself. The
band's name "F4" was inspired by a fictional elitist high school clique in
the Boys Over Flowers (Hana Yori Dango) manga. The artists formerly known as
F4 initially came together to play the fictional F4 in the cast of Meteor
GARDEN, the 2001 Taiwanese live-action television adaptation of Yoko Kamio's
manga.
At first, Shueisha allowed the use of the name as part of the Taiwanese
drama series. However, the issue of confusion arose as the idol group's
popularity grew across Asia and two native Japanese live-action television
adaptations of the manga, Hana Yori Dango and Hana Yori Dango 2 [Returns],
began airing in 2005 and 2007, respectively. Angie Chai, the Taiwanese
drama's producer, chose the new name JVKV last month after the first
initials of the quartet—Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu—in order of descending age.

Honestly, they'rebeing stupid by changing the band's name! If there were going to be copyright issues, why did they let them use it!?? F4 is better! Everyone will still call them that!

4laugh Well it aint dat bad is it? Anywayz JVKV sounds like a kick booty fashion company and i'm sure with time these guys can work it out. Besides, flower four sounds a bit gay, no offence ladies! Or they can change it up like JF4(japan F4) and TF4(taiwan f4) hahahaa rofl Whatever works y'know
