Tahka was resting alone beside the water hole. His bright fur settled beside a gray colored rock as he yawned dully and narrowed his gaze to the waters before him. He disliked how bright the sun was today and found it necessary to move, so slowly but surly he pulled himself and walked away from the large rock. He moved until he found shade under a near by tree and sat down; his tail batted from side to side as he smirked to himself and lifted a paw to clean.
He wasn’t with his mother or sister Sarafina today, and this was an odd thing. He was always them one of them. Lately he had been spending more and more time alone, studying his surroundings and keeping an eye on the watering hole.
As much as he hated it, it brought a lot of new faces to him and Tahka liked to see new faces. He wanted to be known and he wanted to know all.

Sooo hot Noyana thought as she walked a slow, painful walk. She took one more step then allowed herself to drop in exhaustion, panting. "No wonder Chaka stayed home in her nice, cool den," Noyana said to herself quietly. There had to be something she could do to escape his wretched heat. Her mind worked quickly, and found the solution. Water. It was the quickest escape- always cool, and it'd keep you cool for quite a while, too.
"Perfect," she said, rising to her feet, empowered by the idea of not only getting a drink, but also rapidly cooling off. She ran in that direction as fast as her feet would carry her, and it wasn't long until she saw it. Oblivious to anyone present, she boosted her speed, and lept with all her might, getting in as deep as she could. She curled and landed with a loud 'sploosh.' When she came up, she immediately rolled onto her back and took a few strokes. Yes, it was perfect. She rowed herself to shallower water and stood there, drinking up the cold until she spotted the red cub at the side.
"Hello," She called. He wasn't too far away, 30 feet, maybe. She hadn't ever seen him before... which was odd. She'd seen nearly everyone at some point or another.

A twisted looked crossed his face as someone called out to him. Why did he have to be bothered always? Sighing deeply Tahka slowly lifted his head to see a bright arrangement of colors and cocked a brow in wonder. What on earth was this thing that spoke to him? A lion? It was far too bright for his liking.
“What?”
He responded and stood still, slightly thrown off by its looks. It had to be a lion-- right?

"I didn't get ya, did I?" Noyana asked, padding over through the water, splashing a ton. She slowed down as she got closer though; if she hadn't gotten him wet she wouldn't want to do so now. She squinted at the cub; she hadn't seen him around before, though, she had met Tufah. Still, he didn't bear enough of the same markings for Noyana to immediately reach the solid conclusion of his identity.
Still in the water, though it was only a few inches deep, Noyana sat. "My name's Noyana," she said with a slight dip of the head. "Aren't you hot from sitting in the sun all... dry?" She asked cocking her head a little bit.
