Well im fixing to start FFXI and i want to know which sever would be the best to play on?

it all depends on if you want a big or small server, if you want small, then join like Cerberus, if you want big then go to ifirit or leviathan

Also depends on if you want to play with people who don't speak english or not. That is why i don't recommend phoenix. For somewhere with less Japanese, for instance, I would go to Unicorn.

No offense to the fairy server players...but i wouldnt suggest Fairy, its economy is rather expensive.

so the fairy server is a no go...(by the name i probably wouldnt have gone there anyways) but wouldnt there be major lag in the iferit sever if its so popular?

TiggyChan No offense to the fairy server players...but i wouldnt suggest Fairy, its economy is rather expensive. yeah but its all relative. you get more gil for the things you sell, but the things you buy cost more. although I'd agree our economy dives like - a nightmare on ice skates.

If you want a pretty balanced server, I suggest Midgar.
Siren only if you are an elitist(really, endgame scares me sometimes)
Remora is pretty nice you like being laid back and dun play much.
Shiva is erm...well, if you're a bst, you'll like it.

ok well im looking for somehting that if you need help people are there but i dont want them to think i depend on them you know, basically i want a server thatll test my skills because ive been playin games my whole life and im ready to take the mmo step.

Midgard we have a pretty good group. Also I'm helping out a LinkShell that could help you as well.

Cerberus isn't as small as people think it is, I play on both Cerberus & Leviathan, Leviathan to me seems less played than Cerberus. sweatdrop
