Within the trendy downtown core rests a busy lil spot of a place. A place where the artist- poetic-creative spirit is afloat in all it`s glory. The glitter of the city lights, sounds from the busy nightclubs, and the roar of the streets exist surrounds this magnificent abode.
The building itself is ancient and belonging to an historic past, but the modern twists build within it makes it such a pleasantry, that the design erupts to bring the classic to modern life. The fine brick walls, swiping marble columns, the deep dark mahogany woods, and the brass that grip every portion that it may. The ornate wood work is something that inspires, and the hand carved, stained glass, windows are eyes to you’re very soul.
Stepping inside you are greeted by a hostess that is warmly smiling, and welcoming you to a night grander than all others. You stroll forth taking note of the grandeur of this fine establishment. The delicate wood work, the brass fixtures, the crystalline chandeliers, the quaint cherry wood tables, the long massive winding bar, the lovely Baby Grand piano, and the curtained stage. A stage with a well polished floor, a microphone, and dimly lit over head lights. Closing your eyes to all you see comes as intoxicating. The scents of fine foods waft in the air, and the coffees leave a soul dreaming of the possibilities of being tempt into trying every one of them. .

Stepping upon the lovely polished wooden stage, WindWhisperer demands a deep breath of inhaling. Nervous tensions always fill her boned prior to any public event. Many a day she write her lil poetic verse, knowing they be a something simplistically her`s but now she had been asked to share the personal scribbles., Standing ever so quiet within a wish to be elsewhere, WindWhisperer clarifies, within her mind. ‘Greatness comes to those who reach for it”. This brings a sigh of ’Who wants to be publically great’. Next comes a weak nervous smile and thoughts of ‘Listen gal get your butt up there and just do it.’ ”Just do it”, like the Nike commercial states. Staring intently at the microphone, more fear rages in her being. She demands calm from and of herself. With thoughts of ’ If you suck then duck, but you must try!” That brings out a raising of an eyebrow, since it’s quite amusing. Then moving forward, she stands in the presence of the audience and slightly behind the glistening microphone that is awaiting the verse of the poetic. She smiles and anticipates the hush to fill the space. She knows its coming. Then as it arrives in a slow billow to settle and to linger within the delightfully scent café she smiles. Next WindWhisperer gathers her inner courage to sweetly voice “ Hello, and welcome to the most extraordinary lil spot this side of paradise. This very evening many a poet shall be sharing a selection of what their soul`s humbly hold.We hope you are enjoying your stay and the company of those here. “ Adjusting a bit and warmly supplying another smile she begins with “ Onward we now wander into a lil selection of mine”
Seizing The Pain ******************
I sat while a tear plunged upon my cheek This was shed as a single pain This solitary tear streamed slowly down It flowed to follow the others of moments ago
Quietly I sat feeling it fall over my face In an instance your hand graciously encompassed it In that sudden moment we shared all there could be You lingered looking into my eyes embracing the tear
My tear sank into your palm as you perceived it Your eyes beamed of understanding Unexpectedly I found a secret that we now share A secret shone of my pain wasn't so substantial when shared
.............WindWhisperer ( August 2005)
With the last word slipping from these lips my glance softly slips from the audience to gaze upon the floor. I breath in deeply and turn to walk the length of the stage. No applause required, nor recognition needed, but sure could use a tall cold iced tea.

Walking on the top of the charming refined wooden stage, WindWhisperer claims an intense breath. Anxious stresses always congest her as she begins to speak in public. Stationed ever so still within a desire to be elsewhere, WindWhisperer clears up her senses. This induces a sigh, disliking the public aspect of her work. Then arrive a delicate unsettled, smile to accompany thoughts of ‘Once more into the fray.” Gazing intently at the lighting fixtures, more fear arrives to be compassed by her inner senses. She requisitions composure from herself. With thoughts of ’ You did it once before. You go gal!” That brings out a raising of female power from deep within. Moving ahead, she arrives in the presence of the audience but at the back of the polished microphone. It is anticipating the rhyme of the poetic. She does a grin, with the silence filling the space as the group awaits her words. Next WindWhisperer collects her internal bravery to voice....”We now shall saunter into a lil selection of my poetic stylings”
In The Darkness *********************
His hand stretches forth through the pain and dark Not a query raised ; not a conclusion forged There from the beyond his light eradicates all darkness From without he came to help her be restored
His gentle smile does induce kindness and warmth Within his eyes existed a tender sagely visage Resting upon his time worn face shone understanding He seems to possess a mark of hope, and knowledge.
Not a word require to be voiced between them There rested an absolute love between their souls His deep compassion took to conveying strength In a blink all became relieved of the once formidable woes
Both began transpiring from the deep darkness Ascending with profound wisdom and comprehension Each now knew they always possess one true friend Someone whom would be their eternal salvation
Arm in arm they would travel the hills and valleys Each would share all they possessed in life Both walked knowing a friend was found Someone to resume the journey of life.

Yes, I HAVE noticed. They all seem asleep or something lately. I am offline a lot since I keep ending up in hospitals. But at least we have to try. I love reading and discussing books. Maybe they will come back.
