Luna was down by the creek for the day. She stood in the streams cool current basking in the exstacy of the water. really she wanted to come down to the water and see if she could catch anything but there seemed to be no fish when she made the trip to the creek. She wasnt disapointed though. With a shrug of the shoulders she brushed the disapointment off.
It was no big deal really. Plus now she got to play in the cool springs. Maybe later she would look else where for a good meal. Something would have to turn up. There were many animals and plants around here that a wolf could snack on. That was one good thing. Besides that she had her own little storage here and there with meat from previous meals to get her by.
Kneeling down she lowered her sef into the water. The cool liquid claimed her pleasure. It felt so good as it passed by her fur soaking into her hot skin. It was paradise. She smiled on the inside with her eye lids shut. Her guard was completely down.

 Hood was tired and a bit sore form all of his walking. He had left his pack lands in search of something else, some escape from his brother’s hold on him. He hated being the shadow to the alpha... but that was what he was. A shadow to Shadow, his elder brother, the leader of his pack-- his pack, it would be his pack if Shadow left but that wasn’t going to happen anytime soon.
Hood didn’t really hate shadow; he just-- really didn’t care for him, at all. Shadow was too headstrong and heartless... and Hood just couldn’t understand how he came to be that way.
Even as the second in command he felt very small beside his brother, maybe that was why he left so often. His green eyes narrowed as he slowly walked along side a near by creek, unaware of the female wolf before him. He was far too lost within his own thoughts to even notice her yet.

The she wolf could hear a pitter patter of paws on the pebbled edge of the creek. They were getting closer and closer. Luna wasnt sure if this was a friend or foe or even prey but she did know she was wide open in the middle of the creek. Getting up slowly from her cool oasis her bright pink eyes scanned the area.
Nothing at first was moving in her vision path until in a short distance, she saw the other. His fur was white and he had soft green eyes. He seemed to be beside him self. Lost in thought. Luna quickly wrote him off as not a threat. He seemed to be just out for a walk. Not out on a hunt or even looking for something, he seemed lost in his own head.
Luna could relate to a walk like that. Sometimes when she was feeling down or just needed to get away from her stump she would wander off to go walk. They were nice to clear your head.
Luna layed back down in the cool stream and let the cool water take her in some more. It felt nice. Her gaze didnt leave the white wolf though. She was amused by him for some reason.

Hood stopped for a moment as the female wolf's sent passed his nose. He stopped; unaware of what to do-- really, it had been a long time now… without the company of his brother and father and in all truths Hood didn’t know how to talk to others without feeling bashful.
He spent a lot of his time alone after all. He was just a shadow- just a shadow.
Moving his eyes to the creek he gazed at the soft colored she-wolf and spoke out slowly, his tail curling in curiosity.
“Hello?”
He wasn't sure what else to say in this kind of situation. He felt very lost right now.
“Who are you?”

Luna smiled up at the male wolf as she layed in the creek. She guessed that she had been found out after all. Water dripped down her fur as she slowly got up to be more polite. It wasnt very polite to answer some one while laying down in a creek.
"Howdy," She said with a fake country accent. "Who am I" Her bright pink eyes blinked as she repeated the question. "Hmmm thats a good question." Getting up she walked closer to the white wolf. He seemed to be friendly as far as she could tell. She sinced no danger. "My name is Luna." Her tail wagged a little spreading creek water here and there.
Her muzzle sniffed the air. She smelt other wolves on this one. He was part of a pack. But still he seemed friendly and that didnt bother her in the least.
"May I inquire, who you might be?" Her ears were up and her eyes were hungry for his answer.

“Luna.”
Hood repeated once and then again to himself... as if to remember her name for later use. He did this often with names, he was very forgetful.
“I am Hood, brother to Shadow; second Alpha to the Shadow pack.”
He wanted to seem like he was something... like he was someone, though he knew he wasn’t of any value to his brother anymore. He gave her a forced smile and slowly eyed her up and down. She seemed well... for a wolf he didn’t know and she didn’t seem to mind his lack of... social skills, yet.
“What were you doing in the water?”
He asked with bright eyes. He didn’t understand her actions, really. He had never set a paw in creek water before, not even when he drank. He always made sure to keep himself close to the edge but that was as close as he ever got.
Hood was a bit... Sheltered to say the least.

Luna gave him a grin as he gave her his name. Hood? She thought to her self. That gave her a grin, a grin that he could see. "Hood," She said still grinning, "Thats a lovely name."
Her ears flicked a bit as she learned of who he was. A second Alpha? What was a wolf like him doing out and about on his own. She couldnt smell any other wolf trailing this wolf so she had assumed he was just one of the hunters or maybe something else but not a second Alpha. He behaved strangly for such a high rank. She stayed silent at his remark of being a second Alpha.
She woke up quickly from her train of thought when he asked her what she was doing in the water.
"Well, I was, well," She looked down at the creek and looked back up at the white wolf. "I was just cooling off." She said with a smile. "The water feels good when its hot like this. Have you ever layed in a creek before?" She was assuming that he hadnt. Alpha's tended to not be exposed to such things as meaningless as playing or laying down in a creek on a hot day.

“Cooling off?”
Hood’s head cocked to the side as he gazed at Luna with wide eyes.
“Does the water... hurt?”
He was a puppy at heart still and didn’t quite understand the world. Hood had grown up protected all of his life... after all.

Luna tilted her head a little. It was a strange question coming from a wolf his size. She waged her tail though, she was a patient wolf.
"Well," She said with a bit of a smile, "What do you think?" She said as she jumped up in the water coming back down with a splash that hit hood. She giggled. "Guess it doesnt." Her tail was wagging playfully. "Come on in its fun," She was acting like a pup now. Jumping around in a circle in the water splashing randomly in a playful panic of water. It glimmered and shined as it was set off into the air before splashing back down to the earth. Only a hint of a rainbow remained a reminder of its memory.
