Karim couldn't count the days he'd been with the pack, it seemed like an eternity but he knew it was way less. He'd watched the pack closely, observing them if you would and he found exactly what he'd expected. A bunch of wolves lusting after one thing or another... be it a warm body or bloody maw, they all wanted something. This big peaceful brute wasn't sure he really belonged here, sure he fancied a nice deer when his stomach began to rumble but he didn't kill them because well... he could. It was a mystery, he was no Seer, he couldn't read minds and find out what was going on with these wolves' heads but... he didn't need to. After meeting Lilith he knew just why they were all in this pack... well, possibly... but she was definatly an oddball, or some other more vulgar word.
Sulking slightly, Karim wandered over to the edge of the dens... something inside pushed him towards taking a nap but he didn't feel like sleeping. At the moment he was more a wandering soul lost in a forest of demons. That thought gave him an idea... he'd wander around in the forest and hope to find something interesting. He didn't have any particular duties to carry out at that moment so it was settled, he'd be on his way... With a second look at the den and a crooked smile, Karim trotted off towards the forest, hoping to find adventure and less... oddballs.

Lilith quite enjoyed the company of the purple and white marking wolf. A lot. At first it was just business. Someone to lead and to be big and strong, but wouldn't try to overthrow her. But the more time they spent together the more she was beginning to have a clouded mind. It was strange and unusual and she wasn't sure what to do with it. It wasn't just a 'wanting' it was...what was it. She wasn't sure. Karrim just made her feel things that no other wolf made her feel. Perhaps it was the gentlness or the softness he had in everything.
She wasn't so sure, nor did she care. What she did know was that the time spent apart, even if by a little, ached her so. So when she saw him leaving she decided right then and there she was going to follow. She didn't know why she should, but she wanted to.

Driscoll hunkered down low, his hind wavering in the air as he crept closer... something was moving towards him... there was no way he'd let it pass, this was his home now. A throaty growl emitted from the pup's throat which was surprising considering his age... Whatever was in front of him was either out of its mind and didn't care about their fate or just was plain out of it. Driscoll didn't care, he'd kill anything in front of him even if it was 10 times bigger than him. Perhaps this was the pup's major flaw... but good luck explaining that to him. Two blue eyes scanned the area around him before he continued to creep forward, tiny paws digging into the soil beneath his dark body. This would be the end of his prey's days... they would see no more... Upon that thought, Driscoll pounced and landed inches from a butterfly.
It flew away of course, but only for a moment... it soon landed on the pup's nose to taunt him. Driscoll snapped at it and it was gone for good. There went that pup's fun... Moping back to where he'd been the pup decided it was for the best... wasn't like a butterfly was good eating anyways.
Karim's nose twitched, he scented something up ahead but it didn't seem familiar. He recognized most of his pack's scent by now but this... it was different. Picking out the smells, Karim decided it was a pup... or maybe more... male in gender. He had to ask himself what pups were doing out in the middle of a forest but then again.... he'd been alone in his early teens perhaps... Shaking his head, the big wolf trudged towards the scent, ready to figure out what was going on and stop making things up in his head.
For a big wolf, Karim walked very softly and was often unheard as he approached others in the brush. He was careful, making sure things in his way weren't going to snap and cause alarm for whatever was ahead of him. He was pretty sure he could take on a bunch of pups but their parents had to be someplace nearby... if they weren't he feared for the pup's sanity and perhaps emotional and physical state.

"M...maybe this isn't such a good idea," Adrieal stammered as he closed in next to his brother, "That butterfly looks awfully testy..." he started before the winged creature fluttered up at him, making the young pup jump out of the way with a yap.
"Now look what you've done!" he said in fright, "You've made it angry!"
Lilith too had picked up on the smell so she padded along with ears perked forward. She was big for a female, so it took her many moons of practise to learn the art of walking without making noise, but finally she had perfected it. Curiousity was what kept her moving, longing is what kept her there, still so close to Karrim, but far back behind him so her movements could not be felt or heard.
It also helped that she had such a dark natural looking coat. She seemed to blend in with the enviroment as she walked, the trees and branches only shifting slightly as her fur touched down."

"Oh come off it, Adrieal," Driscoll growled, "What's it going to do? Tickle you to death?" His brother was so pathetic at times, well... all the time, Driscoll had soon found out. It seemed like he was afraid of everything meanwhile Driscoll feared basically... nothing. What kept him around Adriel? He'd never know but it was suspected that deep down... way deep down... Driscoll loved his brother and planned to protect him until death do him part. Groaning, he watched the butterfly flutter away again... well... if it made his brother happy he'd get that darn thing.
Watching the colorful wings flitter through the sky, Driscoll rushed towards it, moving slower as it settled on a blade of grass. As he inched forward a strange scent hit his nose... but before he knew what was going on...
Karim watched a pup get closer and soon stepped out of from behind a tree he'd been watching from. Lowering his head, he whispered, "Boo!" and watched as the startled pup tumbled backwards. Of course... poor Karim wasn't prepared for what came next...
Before Karim knew what was going on, the little pup was lunging at him! He didn't have time to move or bite back so he soon felt it... right on Karim's honker. It took a moment for the sensation to kick in but when that moment came, Karim rolled over and howled in pain. His nose, one of the more sensative bits of his body had been gnawed upon!
That wasn't all... the pup continued its attack... nipping at his sides, tugging on his tail. It seemed as if it was trying to physically hurt the big purple brute but it seemed to tickle more than anything. No longer worrying about his sniffer, Karim began to laugh whole heartily. He loved children... even when they were vicious little mofos.

"It might!" Adrieal said weakly, "You never know what those things are capable of..." But it was a loosing battle and he already knew it he was defeated. His brother was just a brute, plain and simple. If it had not been for their bloodlines the little pup would have probably left by now, or stuck to his mother constantly. His father, well his father scared him. Very much so. But his mother could only take so much of his constant worrying or fear, and thus he stayed with his brother, who seemed more able to take him on, despite the quips.
"You should really stop before----- oh my goodness!" he barked out once he saw the display. Instantly he ducked back and quivered in fear, putting both paws over his eyes as if to make himself invisoble.
"Karrim!" Lilith shouted, bursting forth from the shadows to pad up along side the large wolve and the small puppy. It wasn't the pup alone that unnerved her, it was the fact that there might be others around. Sent to lure a big wolf out of hiding so that he could be captured and killed or at worse, made to traitor his own tribe.
So once seeing Karrim was okay and merely at play she began to look around. But when she saw no others she instantly flatttened ears and tucked her tail between her legs. She was caught now.

He had him! He was down! This big flapping idiot that had tried to scare him! No wolf scared Driscoll, nothing scared him, period! He was determined to show his brother there was nothing to be afraid of when... another wolf popped out at him. Okay, so now he was outnumbered and... he had to plot quickly. As the wolf looked around Driscoll planned out his options... he could call Adrieal over and hope for a miracle or run or.... it didn't seem like he had many options. Two wolves 4 times the size of him weren't exactly going to fight fairly, Driscoll wasn't stupid. Okay so he'd go offer his brother as a sacrifice!
After a low growl, Driscoll took off towards his brother, hopping over the hiding figure before he tried to push him forward. "Get.... up...!" Driscoll growled as he pushed with the side of his head. Okay, so his brother was heavier than he thought... this sucked.
Karim blinked into reality as Lilith came out of nowhere and the pup backed off. Now that the tickling was over his nose began throbbing once again... kids... they never knew their own strength. But as far as he knew the kid was gone now, off doing something... why was Lilith here? He was torn between the two. Make sure the pup is alright or interrigate Lilith and find out her intentions. Lilith was confusing him though... why had she shouted his name and come running to his aid? Maybe she thought he couldn't take care of himself and she'd lose her precious co-ruler.
Or perhaps... no, that couldn't be it. Karim was starting to get full of himself, thinking Lilith thought of him as more than someone to rule beside. Something deep down ached, wishing for just that but Karim pushed it away, he couldn't deal with such feelings. They were surfacing again... no, this wouldn't work. With a quick glance to the pup, he realized there was another one... but it didn't look too good maybe it was de-... no it was shaking.
Leaving the pup for the moment, Karim turned towards Lilith, "Something the matter, miss?"

At the voice Adrieal whimpered, not even realizing it had belonged to his brother in the first place. "Y...Y...yes sir," he stammered, getting up while shaking, and still having his eyes closed. He just stood there, staring into the back of his eyelids and shaking like a leaf.
"I just thought...you...I," oh and this was a first. Never had Lilith had trouble getting out all her words, and here she was unable to forumlate a complete sentence. Her emeralds finally dipped down to the ground, to the pups, and then back towards Karrim. She cleared her throat once. "I just assumed you needed some help. I heard something and I got......" she inhaled sharply and muttered, "worried."
