Having traveled across the Soquili lands for a few days on foot, Zhenga found herself wandering through many types of scenary. Though she could of used her wings to get around faster, she had much rather enjoy the view from the ground than above it.
The mare felt almost like she was searching for something. Almost like a treasure hunt. It was odd, but it was an adventure non the less!
Soon she came upon a long stretch of grass. It grew high and swayed in the gentle breeze. A tiny brook trickled it's way through the center, cutting through the grass with ease like a knife to butter. This seemed like a nice spot to stay and rest for a while.
Stretching out her black wings, she looked about for a shady spot to lay down in. As soon as she found one that was underneath a large tree, she made her way over standing there for just a moment. Silver eyes scanned the tree lines and horizon. It was a beautiful day today, even if there were some clouds in the sky.
Tucking her legs underneath her small body, she lowered herself to the ground to lay upon and rest. Her slender tail curling around her haunches.

 A warm breeze blew across the fields making the grasses seem as though they were waves. The grass found it's way up a small colt's nose as he napped away. The little leopard spotted foal sneezed and slowly his golden eyes opened. He blinked a few times to adjust to the light before looking around. Where was he again? He yawned and got to his feet looking around with a sleepy stupor.
"Water?" He blinked looking around at the yellow and green ocean. Closer to him it was just grass but then all around him there were waves. He looked around frantically trying to find some way out. He let out a frightened whinny before he began running around but it seemed no matter where he went the dry grassy island followed him. "Momma!!!" He cried in a panic not knowing what was going on. "Momma momma help!!!"
He ducked his head back down into the grass and gasped. There was something not ro far in front of him. It looked black and it had wings. He smiled feeling less worried now thinking he knew the shape. "Dark!" He cried running faster to get to his friend. "Dark, I'm...scared?" He came to a sudden halt as he looked closer at the horse. It was Dark at all and it was pink.

Zhenga had been lingering in her own little world at the time. So she hadn't even noticed the little cries coming from the colt. Too many thoughts were running through her mind as she thought about this and that.
Though as soon as she heard the sound of rustling grass and small hoof beats coming towards her. She turned her head quickly, braids snapping across her face and next. Silver eyes stared at what seemed to be a little foal. Black, light blue with alternating spots, kind of like her own. It seemed a bit distressed and scared.
A soft smile came to her lips as the fluffed end of her tail flicked gently against the ground. "Are you ok?" She asked as she tilted her head a bit sideways.

"You're not Dark..." He said with a bit of a tremor in his voice. It was as if things hadn't been bad enough before. Now there was a strange lady in front of him with a sharp thing on her head and he wasn't sure if she was going to hurt him or not. The way she spoke was soft enough but she had a lions tail and he couldn't remember if his mom had said lions could be trusted or not.
He started to back up nervously only to step on a tiny branch. The loud snap sent him shooting forward to hide behind the tree. His breathing was a bit harsh and frantic as he looked around wide eyed. He had never been alone quite like this there had always been someone from the herd keeping a close eye on him. He poked his head out for a moment to look at the mare, he couldn't remember her ever being in their teepee. Was she maybe new or was he really alone.
Deciding to take a bit of a risk he stepped out ears pinned back with his head down. He looked like someone was about to beat him. "Are you...are you one of my momma's friends?" He asked eyebrows furrowed with his eyes and lips in a bit of a timid pout, praying that she was.

She stayed laying on the ground, not wanting to startle the foal who seemed a bit more on edge. Her eyes scanned the surrounding area as it seemed like he was on his own. No others were in sight from what she could see.
"No, I'm not Dark. I'm Zhenga." She gave the foal another warm smile before shifting into a more comfortable position on the soft grass. Zhenga's ears perked as he zipped around to hide behind the tree and gave a soft giggle with a shake of her head.
As he peeked out, she raised a curious eyebrow to his question. "I don't think I know your momma little one. But you don't have to worry, I won't hurt you." Her tail had stopped tapping against the ground as she looked him in the eyes. A glint of re-assurance in those silver orbs lined in black and white. A wriggle of her black nose made her whiskers move about. She wanted to stand, but didn't want to scare him off. If he truely was by himself it would be a lot more dangerous for him to just run off.

"You don't?" he backed up a little not sure if he should trust her or not. She seemed nice but Ame had always told him that looks were deceiving. Was that true in all cases or just some? Zhenga acted like his mom though she seemed a lot calmer and less emotional. Did that mean she'd take care of him like his mom did? Not hurting and taking care of were two entirely different things at points.
He gave his tail a nervous flick before stepping softly out from behind the tree. "Zheyengaaa...Zheeee...Sheenn...umm...uhhh..." He looked over his shoulder as he tried to remember exactly what her name was. It had sounded odd and he didn't wanna make her made so he had to get it right soon. "Ummm...Shenna? No...Zhenga? Zhenga! Umm...if I promise not to kick you can I stay here please?" He asked his ears coming slightly forward. His eyes were shinning in hope that she'd let him stay because she couldn't hurt him if he was hundreds of feet away and he wasn't sure what she had meant.

"I'm afraid not. I don't think I've met anyone who looks like you, little one." Her tail tapped against the ground a few times, mostly by habit. Shifting her wings, she leaned on her side a bit.
Another small giggle and a slight sigh at the foals antics. "I'd hope you wouldn't kick me. That would really hurt." In truth, it probably would. But not as badly as a full grown adult's kick. Nodding her head, Zhenga's braids bounced along her jaw line and neck. "You can stay here. I'm sure your momma will be looking for you and it's best if you stay in one place. Wandering around can be dangerous."

Ayden grinned happy at the thought that he could really hurt some one so big. His sister had told him his kicks hurt but he hadn't ever really believed her until now. "Thank you Miss Zhenga Lady." He smiled and sat down next to her feeling the instant ease only the young would ever have. Tilting his head back he looked up at the leafy tree then all around him trying to find out where he was but it was no good. He could barely see over the tops of the grass let alone to the edges of it.
"Miss Zhenga lady...do you think I could wander out a bit? I don't think my momma will find me way back here..." He looked down at the pink and spotty mare as though he really needed her permission. Sure she was being nice and all but she wasn't his mom or any one of her friends so he didn't need to listen. Yet he would despite what his sister said, being with others meant something to him.

"That's fine. I'll come with you, just so I can keep an eye out untill your momma comes back." She stood up slowly, her wings stretching out a bit as her tail removed some dirt and leaves from her flanks. Her pelt stretched over her slender muscles as she herself stretched out her body.
Looking down at the foal, she gave a small smile before she started walking furthur away from the trees. Perhaps it was a good idea for him to be out away from them. It might be harder for his mother to find him.

The little colt's jaw dropped as the mare stood. She was huge in comparison to his tiny frame. "Woah..." He blinked mouth still gaping in awe. He watched as she left only wondering if he would ever get that big. As he was standing there in wonder he slowly noticed his escort getting farther and farther away. He let out a worried whinny before racing after the winged and horned one.
Once he was by her side again he smiled up at her then stretched out his neck to try and see where they were heading. It was a no go. The grass was far to tall and he was to short, all he could see was the endless green and yellow water. He snorted and looked up at the pink cheetah with a confused look on his face. "Miss Zhenga lady...we'll get wet if we keep heading this way won't we?" He asked wondering why she wasn't saying anything about the ocean that surrounded them.

The mare continued to stroll through the grass, keeping a slow pace so that the colt could keep up. Her tail flicked back and forth as she walked, rustling the grass behind her.
Zhenga glanced down at the foal briefly with a wide smile on her lips. "Wet? Well, perhaps if we run into a river or lake. But there really aren't any around here that I can see." Her eyes scanned the area around them. She could hear the sound of water, but it wasn't as great of a sound a river or the ocean would make.

Ayden paused and looked up at the mare confused. She was taller then he was so shouldn't she be able to the ocean clearer then he could? "But..."He protested trotting to catch up with her, "It's right in front of you!" He cried stomping into the ground more a bit annoyed. "The big yellowy-green water all over the place!" Rearing back his placed his forelegs on Zhenga shoulders to show her. Once he was closer to her level, however, the ocean all but vanished. In shock he slipped back to the ground and suddenly it reappeared.
"It's a magic water..." He said wide-eyed looking up at the pink alicorn. Slowly he began to formulate a mind in his head that would involve making his mom wait for just a little bit. "Do you think...do you think if we drink from it we'll be blessed by the spirits?!" A wide smile spread across his face and he began to dance around excitedly.

Oh. So that's what he meant. Her eyes looked down at the grass for a moment before she gave a small chuckle. But, he was still a foal and it was not her place to correct him. Every child should have some sort of imagination, and this one seemed to have a good one. Or at least, not a very well understanding of what exactly it was that was infront of him.
When he placed his hooves on her shoulders, she stopped. Not wanting him to topple over from her moving away. At his question, she smiled. "Quite possibly. It does look pretty tasty though, this magical water."

"So you see it now?!" He asked dancing around excitedly. If she could see it now and couldn't before then it really was magic! "How do we get to it? It keeps moving away from us..." His ears drooped a bit as he looked up to the mare hopefully. She was older then him so naturally she must know how to catch magic right? "Miss Zhenga lady, do you know how to get it? I really wanna be special and magical..."

Nodding her head, she smiled down at the foal again. "Yes. I can see it now."
Her mind went into deep thought for a few seconds before she bent down her head down to his level. "You see. The way you catch magic water is you have to sneak up on it, the jump ontop and hold it down with your hooves so it can't wriggle away. That's the only way."
