...a world where Gorillaz didn't exist. Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn never had the idea of a virtual band. They're around and making s**t, but not Gorillaz.

What would you spend your time listening to instead?

Me, I'd be with AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Daft Punk, Weird Al Yankovic and Michael Jackson.

Don't even joke like that. I might be dead without them....okay, dead on the inside.

But I don't think I'd be listening to much. Most of my music reccomendations were based on "Hey, you like Gorillaz? Then you'll like ...."
Maybe stuff my brother blasted out of his room, like Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Korn, NIN, etc. Maybe Gnarls and GB&Q when they came. But I'd always feel like something was missing.

My entire perception of the world would fall apart. The joy in music would be fractured. I would have a much narrower span of musical tastes. And I wouldn't be as good at drawing either.
(Not that I'm all that great at drawing anyway...)

But I'd be listening to RHCP, Incubus, Mr. Bungle, Nirvana, stuff like that.

Well, I'd have no artistic thought to speak of at all. Possibly something else would have given me that awakening; I doubt it, though.

I'd be listening to Green Day, HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals, Santana, Panic! At The Disco, Meatloaf and The Killers.

I probably wouldn't have a desire to draw, my music tastes could have changed, and I would still be in a mild depression, that's for sure.

I'd prolly be more into Daft Punk, Jamiroquai, and some other 90's alternative bands. I could be into J&D's other projects though. After all, I liked "Clint Eastwood" even before I knew Gorillaz was a cartoon band.

@.@ My taste in other music seems out of place here.

Oh! You like HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR too? (it just caught my eye!)

Anyway...a world without Gorillaz...NUU!
I dunno, I wouldn't be too happy. I'd be...different, so much so. Ehehe...

They really achieved their goals. Informing others on what art REALLY is. If they didn't change me, I'd be watchin' a recorded "American Idol" on TiVo right now.

Actually I'd be a happy little twit. I mean, the info you get from the music is kinda depressing.....but then again it does inform you.

Ignorance is bliss.

Ouch, you had it bad. At least I could see that stuff was crap, I just didn't have anything else around.

My problem was that I completed a visual arts course without actually being able to look at things or create things with a message in them. I didn't fail, because I'm really quite good at art, but I didn't get anything out of it.

Gorillaz got me looking for messages. That's nice. Also, like... 'people can make a difference'. Even 'people who really only exist in your mind can make a difference'. I've always wanted to create something big... and Gorillaz, yeah, that's the kind of thing I want to create. But bigger. Better. Less commercial. I'll build on it, god damn it, and make it into a big, wobbling tower of inspiration. *committed to it*

I often found myself alone and bored. Bro's gone off to college.

Ah, okay. I read that as being that you enjoyed it. I couldn't stand to watch it for more than a few seconds.
