Can you Imagine ?
Can you Imagine a world without witches, A world with all people the same? where the only known dragons are hiding in books, and children are terribly tame?
A world without magic would be sad indeed I cannot Imagine the pain Of having a world where there's no Stana Claus Where wizards are dreamed of in vain
Can you imagine a world without spells That science and businesses run? And think of the sadness a unicorn feels When he no longer plays in the sun
Can you imagine a world without witches No elves.and no magical pools? And can you imagine how dull it would be If all that we had was the schools?
I cannot imagine a world without witches A world with no magical wand A world without Beauty.or even a dream Or a wood spirit of whom to be fond
They say I should grow up and be more mature Like normal adults ought to do But I'd rather ,at night ,go to a dance with a witch And I'll bet that you feel that way too!! Author unknown

I Am A Witch............by Sandi Thomas When I stand up for myself and my beliefs, they call me a "Witch". When I stand up for those I love, they call me a Witch. When I speak my mind, think my own thoughts, or do things my own way, they call me a Witch.
Being a witch entails raising my children to be strong people Who have a solid sense of personal and social responsibility Who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe in Who love and respect themselves for the beautiful beings they are.
Being a witch means that I am free to be the wonderful creature I am, With all my own intricacies, contradictions, quirks and beauty. Being a witch means I won't compromise what's in my heart. It means I live my life MY way. It means I won't allow anyone to step on me.
When I refuse to tolerate injustice and speak up against it, I am defined as a witch. The same thing happens when I take time for myself instead of being everyone else's maid or when I act a little selfish.
I am proud to be a witch! It means I have the courage and strength to allow myself to be who I truly am and won't become anyone else's idea of what they think I "should" be. I am outspoken, opinionated and determined. By Goddess, I want what I want and there is nothing wrong with that!
So, try to stomp on me, try to douse my inner flame, try to squash every ounce of beauty I hold within me. You won't succeed. And if that makes me a witch, so be it. I embrace the title and am proud to bear it. I love this, I can call myself a witch now and not feel bad about it! SO MOTE IT BE!

The Legend of the Phoenix
In the myths and legends Of ancient lands Is a tale buried deep In Time's ageless sands. A beast of immortality, Born of the flame. The eternal Phoenix Is its mythical name. Alone in a paradise Of flower and tree Great Phoenix reigns In tranquility. For a thousand years The giant bird flies Leaving a fiery trail Through the heavenly skies. At the end of its reign As death draws nigh Phoenix turns to Phoenicia, And takes to the sky. In the tallest palm tree, Phoenix builds a nest Of spice and herb For its deathly rest. As dawn approaches The dying Phoenix sings And Sun God halts In the dawn that He brings. Time stands still As the nest takes spark The mournful cries carried Away by the dark. The ashes still smolder As dawn touches East. Giving birth from death To a beautiful beast. The flames flow to feathers Of fiery gold and red. As the reborn Phoenix Rises up from the dead. With its nest, the old pyre, Clutched in its claws The new Pheonix takes flight Without further pause. To Aeliopolis- City of the Sun The great bird of flame Leads the flocks as one. The hawk with the sparrow, The eagle with the dove, All flying in harmony, In trust and love. On to the temple Where Phoenix comes to rest Upon the Sun's altar To lay its nest. Once more Phoenix arises With the flocks to take flight To the distant paradise Hidden by the Sun's light. In this beautiful Eden A thousand years Phoenix will reign. Until the death song calls For flight once again. And so destiny repeats As the ages fly by The promise of eternity Heard in the Phoenix's cry.

The Warrior's Code I am what I am. In having faith in the beauty within me, I develop trust. In softness I have strength. In silence I walk with the goddesses. In peace I understand myself and the world. In conflict I walk away. In detachment I am free. In respecting all things, I respect myself. In dedication I honor the courage within me. In eternity I have compassion for the nature of all things. In love I unconditionally accept the life path of others. In freedom I have power. In my individuality I express the Goddess within me. In service I give of what I have become. I am what I am: Eternal, immortal, universal and infinite. I have no parents - the earth and the sky are my parents I have no godly might - integrity is my might I have no wealth - self-denial is my wealth I have no magic power - inner fortitude is my magic power I have neither life nor death - eternal life is my death I have no body - steadfastness is my body I have no eyes - the lightning is my eyes I have no ears - sensitivity is my ears I have no limbs - quick wit is my limbs I have no plans - the opportunity of the moment is my plan I have no miracles - the dharma is my miracle I have no principles - adapting to all situations is my principle I have no friends - my disposition is my friend I have no enemies - carelessness is my enemy I have no armor - benevolence and integrity is my armor I have no fortress - stolidness is my fortress I have no sword - my mind is my sword

The Three Possessions of a Warrior A Warrior is born with Three Things, A Body, A Mind, and A Spirit...
With these three things a Warrior is to build a Life, A Life of Balance, A Life of Peace, A Life of Will.
A Warrior is born with Three Things, A Body...
Speed, Dexterity, and Reflexes, these are the gifts of the Gods to a Warrior. Skills can be learned, but the gifts are rare, and are to be honed to the sharpest of edges and used to build... A Life of Balance.
A physical battle is quite simply an exercise, in which a Warrior is given the opportunity to use the gifts of the Gods, and test the skills learned on this plane. It will at times be necessary to use the gifts and the skills known to A Warrior to build... A Life of Peace.
Through training, the development of the gifts and skills combined can become a formidable weapon. Perfect Balance, Peace of Mind, and An Indomitable Spirit are necessary for A Warrior to build... A Life of Will...
A Warrior is born with Three Things, A Mind...
Intellect, Creativity, and Common Sence, these are the compasses and maps given A Warrior to help in navigating this existance. In life A Warrior will make mistakes. The way these mistakes are handled will set the tone of countless lives determining the measure of A Warrior's steel. A Warrior will accept responsibility for the actions taken, learn from them, and use the experiance to build... A Life of Balance.
A Warrior must constantly endeavor to learn all that is to be learned of the path ahead, always drawing inspiration from the path which lies behind. For strength is the knowledge drawn from the past, and discretion is the wisdom of the future which empowers the Warrior to build... A Life of Peace.
A Warriors mind is to be constantly sharpened, for the mind alone IS the most formidable weapon the Warrior will ever posses. The balance of knowledge and wisdom is the temporing of the steel that makes A Warrior, lending the strength necessary to build... A Life of Will.
A Warrior is Born With Three Things, A Spirit...
A Warrior will carry a shield of Honor. The strength of which is in perfect balance with the Honor of the Warrior.
The Warrior will carry a sword of Truth. With an edge that mirrors the inner peace and honesty of the Warrior.
A Warrior will wear a helmet of Integrity. With power matched only by the will of the Warrior.
While battles can be fought and won with the well trained body. While wars can be waged and won with the tempored and sharpened mind. The most perilous test A Warrior will face is the test of the Spirit. Here the Gods give no gifts. A Warrior will have only the strengths of the spiritthat have been developed in the short life on the physical plane.
A Warrior is born with Three Things, A Body, A Mind, and A Spirit...
With these Three Things A Warrior must build a Life, A Life Eternal...

I Am A Witch- I am one with nature and with the winds that blow, with the stars that shine and the moon that glows. I am the flame in the fire that keeps us warm, I am the tree in the field that protects from the storm. I am one with the universe, I am the all, I hear Brigids voice and I heed her Call. I love all that lives, and I will harm none, I believe in the Goddess... Her will Be done. I am her vessel, her voice here on earth, I am her child, through trial and mirth. I am what I am, and that no one can change, I am not weird, odd nor strange. I am blessed to be her daughter, her love keeps me sane, She strengthens and comforts me throughout all pain. She gives me hope, and lights the way, To that which will be a much brighter day. Thank you Blessed Brigid for giving your love, And granting me hope and strength from above. Your lovelight shines brightly through the darkest night, And guides me safely through until mornings bright light. I owe you my life, your grace has seen me through. And for that I am ever thankful, with your love I am again renewed. -Whyte Wolf - 12/30/03

Jung has suggested that each individual life is based on a particular myth, and that we ought each to discover what our own basic myth is, so that we may live it consciously and intelligently, cooperating with the trend of this life pattern, instead of being dragged along unwillingly. These patterns can be seen recurring in the lives of certain people, who remain totally unconscious of what they are living. But if the individual becomes conscious in relation to the archetypal trend that underlies his life--his fate--he can begin to adapt himself to it consciously. The outer fate is then transmuted into the inner experience, and the true individuality of the man or woman begins to emerge. This is an important step in the quest for the Self. --M. Esther Harding/The I and the Not-I
…I know you're scratching your head wondering what any of it really means to do. How do you make things your own? How do you build a consistent mythology that can guide you in your work? I'll try and summarize here, with one warning. No matter what anyone tells you, you need to find your own way.

"Puppet"
I am a puppet of God's will He sends me everywhere, and I obey He controls my every breath my every action my every thought And he creates a road in front of me, which I must take regardless.
I am a puppet of God's will He can cut the strings anytime and turn me into a lifeless heap Will you not do that God? Will you not cut the strings today? Or do you still have a purpose for me? Or do you want me to rebel? And cut the strings off right as I can grasp freedom? I am only a puppet to you.
Do what you must God. I cannot rebel. For I am your puppet.

My poem of hope
Through the realm of light that darkness misses The dawn is met with silver kisses Were the light’s heat, With pounding feet Makes the rhythm of the rising sun
Breaking waves and stallion foam Heart of innocents and heart alone By ancient Greek That mission seek A light by which to find their way home
Through the use of unmatched might Wars of light and darkness fight In the hands of all Is the chance to fall The outcome is only know to the dreamer
Body alone is a forgotten tome The drapes drawn down in silent gloom When the dreamer can’t cope And there is no more hope Out side there is soft singing
When hope leaves and the day is done The nightingale sings of the light to come On ever note it sings New hope it brings Accompanied by the moon and the sun

I Am Pagan I am Pagan. I am a part of the whole of Nature. The Rocks, the Animals, the Plants, the Elements, and Stars are my relatives. Other humans are my sisters and brothers, whatever their races, colors, genders, sexual orientations, ages, nationalities, religions, lifestyles. Planet Earth is my home. I am a part of this large family of Nature, not the master of it. I have my own special part to play and I seek to discover and play that part to the best of my ability. I seek to live in harmony with others in the family of Nature, treating others with respect.
I am Pagan. I celebrate the changing seasons, the turning of the Wheel of the Year. I celebrate with singing, dancing, feasting, rituals, and in other ways. I celebrate each turn of the Wheel with personal spiritual practices and by taking part in community festivals. Samhain, commonly known as Halloween, is a time for gazing into the future and for paying homage to my Ancestors and other loved ones in the Spirit world. I work magic for greater religious freedom for Pagan peoples and humankind as a whole. I celebrate the Wiccan and Celtic spiritual New Year.
Yule, the Winter Solstice, is a festival of peace and a celebration of waxing solar light. I honor the new Sun child by burning a oaken Yule log in a sacred fire. I honor the Great Goddess in her many Great Mother aspects, and the Father God as Santa in his Old Sky God, Father Time, and Holly King forms. I decorate my home with lights and with holly, ivy, mistletoe, evergreens and other herbs sacred to this season. I ring in the new Solar year with bells.
At the beginning of February, I celebrate Candlemas, known to ancient Celts as Imbolc and to contemporary Americans as Groundhog's Day. I focus on spiritual purification and clearing away blockages to prepare for the coming of Spring and new growth. During this festival, I light candles to honor Brigid and I invite her to inspire my artistic works and guide my healing practice. I give offerings of seeds to wild birds.
At the time of the Spring Equinox, I welcome the renewal of Spring and celebrate the greening of the Earth by dressing in green myself. I honor the Teutonic Goddess Ostara and the spirit of the Rabbit, Her consort. I color eggs with friends and divine choices for new growth.
Beltane at the beginning of May is a festival of fertility and pleasure. I dress in bright colors and wear a garland of flowers in my hair. I dance the Maypole to bless gardens and creative projects. I leap the Beltane bonfire for good luck. I place flowers at the Bast Sacred Cat Shrine and other sacred sites.
Summer Solstice time, also known as Midsummer and Litha, is a grand gathering time when I greet old friends and meet new ones. I dance with them around a sacred bonfire to the magic rhythms of drums. I honor my spiritual community and tribe. I celebrate Pagan culture. I add stones to the sacred Stone Circle on Circle Sanctuary land with prayers for planetary harmony and well-being.
As August arrives, I celebrate Lammas, also known as Lughnassad. At this festival, I honor the height of Summer and prosperity. I not only give thanks for wild and cultivated plants and for blessings that are starting to come to fruition, but I also pray for continued abundance. I break and eat bread with others in ritual and I give bread and herb offerings to the Goddesses and Gods of agriculture.
Fall Equinox, which some call Mabon, is the time of thanksgiving for all the harvests I've reaped during the growing time. I give thanks for food I have received from the gardens and fields and for other blessings which have come into my life. I return to the Mother Earth offerings that come from the best of the fruit, vegetables, herbs, nuts, and other food stuffs I've gathered. And at Samhain, this Wheel of the Year starts again.
I am Pagan. I also honor the seasons of life within my life's journey -- beginnings, growth, fruition, harvest, endings, rest, and beginnings again. Life is a Circle with many cycles. With every Ending comes a new Beginning. Within Death there is the promise of Rebirth.
I am Pagan. I see circles of change and renewal not only within my own life's journey, but in my heritage. I see my life as a circle that connects with the life circles of my ancestors. They are part of me and my life.
I am Pagan. Intentional consciousness change, Magic, is part of my spirituality. For every problem there is at least one workable solution as well as opportunity for growth. I create my own reality with my thoughts, feelings, and actions. Whatever I send out always returns. I seek to abide by the Wiccan Rede: "And It Harm None, Do What You Will." When I do magic in rituals, before I raise and direct energy, I seek always to look at the larger picture of which my needs are just a part. I endeavor to work for the best for all as well as to help myself. When problems come my way, I seek to understand their cause and messages as part of my finding a solution. In doing healing work, I seek to address the underlying spiritual causes of disease, rather than only focusing on relief of its symptoms.
I am Pagan. I work magic by the Moon to help and to heal others, myself, and the Planet. The Triple Goddess of the Moon guides me. I activate beginnings in the Waxing, energize manifestations at the Full, and clear away obstructions with the Waning and Dark. I take part in rituals at the New and Full Moons, and I know that my Circles are part of a great web of Circles that meet at these times around Planet Earth.
I am Pagan. I embrace Pantheism, acknowledging that the Divine is everywhere and in everything. I honor the Divine that is within the oak trees in the forest, in the herbs in the garden, in the wild birds singing in the trees, in the rock outcroppings on the hillside, in myself, and yes, even in "things" such as my car, cameras, and computers. I understand that everything with a physical body has a spiritual body, too. The physical and spiritual are deeply intertwined, not separate, in this world of form. I honor the interconnectedness of Creator and Creation.
I am Pagan. I know that Divinity has many facets and I experience this through a variety of Goddesses, Gods, and other spiritual forms. I also honor Divine Oneness, the Unity of All. My personal encounters with Pagan Goddesses, Gods, and other Divine forms have transformed and enriched my life. I also experience the Divine as totem animals, plant allies, and as other forms in my dreams, in guided inner journeys, and while questing for vision alone in the wilderness.
I am Pagan. My spiritual practices include self-acceptance and understanding, instead of self-rejection. I share my views with others when I sense it is right, but I do not proselytize, claiming my way is the only true right way for everyone. There are many paths up the mountain of spiritual understanding, not just one path.
I am Pagan. My worship takes the form of Divine communion with Nature. I also do rituals elsewhere on the land and at other places, outdoors and indoors. My worship and rituals can be anywhere since my sacred circle is portable.
I am Pagan. I journey to the Otherworld in my dreams, meditations, and rituals. I use sacred tools to aid me in my journeys and my magic making. These include cauldrons, crystals, candles, censors of incense, chalices of water, pentacles of salt, dishes of soil, feathers, bells, brooms, rattles, drums, wands, staffs, blades, mirrors, and a variety of divination tools, including Tarot cards. I fly with my consciousness through time and space. I explore other dimensions and then I return with insights, knowledge, and power. I go between the worlds for healing, growth and transformation. Intuitive, psychic perception is a natural, not supernatural, part of my daily life.
I am Pagan. I attune myself to the four elements of Nature -- Earth, Air, Fire, Water and to the fifth element, Spirit, which is the spiritual force that connects all. I see these Elements in Nature -- the Earth in the soil and rocks; the Air in the winds and atmosphere; the Fire as the lightning, fires, and electricity; the Water in the springs, rivers, oceans, rain, and other waters on the planet; and the Spirit as Divine Unity. I also see these Elements as aspects of Self -- my physical body and physiology is my Earth; my intellect and thoughts my Air; my will and actions my Fire; my emotions and feelings my Water; and my Inner Self, my Soul, is my Spirit. I endeavor to keep myself healthy and in balance in all these parts of Self. I work toward a restoring of balance of the Elements in the environment.
I am Pagan. I hear the cries of Mother Earth who is upset with the harm being done to the environment by humankind. I am dismayed by the pollution of the air, the soil, and the waters, and by the domination games being played by nations with the fire of nuclear missles and other weapons of mass destruction. I also am concerned about spiritual pollution on the Planet -- selfishness, hatred, greed for money and power, addiction, violence, despair. Yet as I perceive these problems, I also perceive cleansing and healing happening on Planet Earth at this time. I know that I can help in at least a small way to bring the Planet into greater balance by seeking balance in my own life, by being a catalyst for restoring balance in the lives of others, and by working for a better environment. I know that my attitudes and my way of living can make a difference. I endeavor to be a channel for healing and balance. I make the practice of environmental responsibility a personal part of my daily life. I endeavor to live in harmony with the other members of the family of Nature.
I am Pagan. Nature Spirituality is my religion and my life's foundation. Nature is my spiritual teacher and holy book. I am part of Nature and Nature is part of me. My understanding of Nature's inner mysteries grows as I journey on this spiritual path.

"Charge of the God" by Janet and Stewart Farrar
Listen the words of the Great Father, Who of old was called Osiris, Adonis, Zeus, Thor, Pan, Cernunnos, Herne, Lugh and by many other names:
"My Law is Harmony with all things. Mine is the secret that opens the gates of life And mine is the dish of salt of the Earth, That is the body of Cernunnos, That is the eternal circle of rebirth. I give the knowledge of life everlasting, And beyond death I give the promise of regeneration and renewal. I am the sacrifice, the father of all things, And my protection blankets the earth."
Hear the words of the dancing God, The music of whose laughter stirs the winds, Whose voice calls the seasons:
"I who am the Lord of the Hunt and the Power of the Light, Sun among the clouds and the secret of the flame, I call upon your bodies to arise and come unto me. For I am the flesh of the earth and all it's beings. Through me all things must die and with me are reborn. Let my worship be in the body that sings, For behold all acts of willing sacrifice are my rituals. Let there be desire and fear, anger and weakness, Joy and peace, awe and longing within you. For these too are part of the mysteries found within yourself, within me, All beginnings have endings, and all endings have beginnings."

"Charge of the Horned God" by Anonymous
Listen to the words of the Horned God, the Guardian of all things wild and free, and Keeper of the Gates of Death, whose Call all must answer:
I am the fire within your heart... The yearning of your Soul. I am the Hunter of Knowledge and the Seeker of the Holy Quest I - who stand in the darkness of light am He whom you have called Death. I - the Consort and Mate of Her we adore, call forth to thee.
Heed my call beloved ones, come unto me and learn the secrets of death and peace. I am the corn at harvest and the fruit on the trees. I am He who leads you home. Scourge and Flame, Blade and Blood - these are mine and gifts to thee.
Call unto me in the forest wild and on hilltop bare and seek me in the Darkness Bright. I - who have been called; Pan, Herne, Osiris, and Hades, speak to thee in thy search. Come dance and sing; come live and smile, for behold: this is my worship. You are my children and I am thy Father. On swift night wings it is I who lay you at the Mother's feet to be reborn and to return again. Thou who thinks to seek me, know that I am the untamed wind, the fury of storm and passion in your Soul. Seek me with pride and humility, but seek me best with love and strength. For this is my path, and I love not the weak and fearful. Hear my call on long winter nights and we shall stand together guarding Her Earth as She sleeps

"The Charge of the Goddess" by Doreen Valiente
Now listen to the words of the Great Mother, Who was of old also called among men Artemis, Astarte, Athene, Dione, Melusine, Aphrodite, Cerridwen, Dana, Arianrhod, Isis, Bride And by many other names. Whenever ye have need of any thing, Once in the month, and better it be when the moon is full, Then shall ye assemble in some secret place, And adore the spirit of me, who am Queen of all witches. There shall ye assemble, Ye who are fain to learn all sorcery, yet have not won its deepest secrets; To these will I teach things that are as yet unknown. And ye shall be free from slavery; And as a sign that ye be really free, ye shall be naked in your rites; And ye shall dance, sing, feast, make music and love, All in my praise.
For mine is the ecstasy of the spirit, and mine also is joy on earth; For my law is love unto all beings. Keep pure your highest ideal; Strive ever towards it, let naught stop you or turn you aside; For mine is the secret door which opens upon the land of youth, And mine is the cup of wine of life, And the cauldron of Cerridwen, which is the Holy Grail of immortality.
I am the gracious Goddess, Who gives the gift of joy unto the heart of man. Upon earth, I give the knowledge of the spirit eternal; And beyond death, I give peace, and freedom, And reunion with those who have gone before. Nor do I demand sacrifice; for behold, I am the Mother of all living, And my love is poured out upon the earth.
Hear ye the words of the Star Goddess; She in the dust of whose feet are the hosts of heaven, whose body encircles the universe. I, Who am the beauty of the green earth and the white moon among the stars, And the mystery of the waters, and desire of the heart of man. Call unto thy soul.
Arise and come unto me; For I am the soul of nature, who gives life to the universe. From me all things proceed, and unto me all things must return; And before my face, beloved of Gods and of men, Let thine innermost divine self be enfolded in the rapture of the infinite. Let my worship be within the heart that rejoiceth; For behold, all acts of love and pleasure are my rituals. And therefore let there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, Honour and humility, mirth and reverence within you.
And thou who thinkest to seek for me, Know thy seeking and yearning shall avail thee not Unless thou knowest the mystery: That if that which thou seekest thou findest not within thee, Thou wilt never find it without thee. For behold, I have been with thee from the beginning; And I am that which is attained at the end of desire.
