I finally found a flat iron in my house (so I can fix my stupid bangs that curl)
But, I used it after taking a shower and drying my hair
Now my bangs smell like burnt strawberries and cream
So . . .
The point of this
None
I was just mad because a sat through almost two hours of The Invisible and having to smell my bangs

Yes, they'll do that. That's the downside. To straighten your hair with a flatiron, or even with a curling iron (it's manageable if it's not a complex iron), burns the hair. Fries it, really.
If you get a hair protector, a lot come in gels, some in sprays, it'll reduce the damage the iron has on your hair...and it doesn't smell as bad, either.
Try burnt grapes...I prefer the strawberries.

I have some weird blue styling gel from a salon, but I can`t find it
So I use cheap dollar store gel, I think that makes it worse

You used hair gel as a heat protecting spray?!
Get a real heat protection spray or atleast steal one.

I can't use flat irons. they make my hair go all poofy no matter what I use. crying I've chopped all my hair down to an inch and spiked it since I can't keep my long bangs straight.

That sucks.
My brother uses my straightener. It's nasty because he doesn't wash his hair very well so it's all oily and disgusting, then uses my straightener and then the straightener gets gross then when I use it my hair smells and it gets greasy and ewww. And my hair's soft untill I use it. crying

There are actual sprays for when you flat iron your hair. I use the above product whenever I do my hair.
Of course, my boyfriend brings it home from work, and he's a hairstylist, so you may have to get it from a salon, but it's better than completely destroying your hair.

try this: take some body spray or perfume and spray a little on a comb then comb through your bangs until the comb is dry. it works

ok if you wanna use a flat iron and straighten your bangs you should wait until your hair dries I have the same problem with my bangs as for your hair smelling of fruit I have no idea
