So, I just found out (rather accidentally) that my friends and I have the worst luck when it comes to relationships. Why? Well, let's call the guy I like 'Larry.' I like that name. Now, 'Larry' doesn't like me, that much I know. Why? Because he likes 'Susan.' But 'Larry' has no luck, because 'Susan' likes 'Bob.' But, surprise, surprise, 'Bob' likes me.
We've got a square as messed up as a Midsummer Night's Dream. And being caught in it really, really sucks. I've a new compassion for those people caught in Puck's trickery. Or was it stupidity? I haven't read that play in quite a while...

sounds like you should turn 'Bob' down so he can give up on u so to speak and then 'susan' should tell 'larry' she doesn't like him. that way you all can look for a new light -ineachother- hehehehehehe (ima dork i know)

Oh, trust me, I get the reference. Heh, Oberion was so pissed off afterwards... but Puck's still cool.
And, naah, I haven't the heart to turn him down. I'm not mean enough for that. Unfortunately... And besides, who says I have any more right to be happy than 'Larry'? Or 'Bob'? Unfortunately, it can't work out for all four of us.

Yes, because he's totally... mine...
Not really. As I said, I have no more right to happiness than anyone else. If, of his own choice, he chooses me, then so be it, because I like him in return. But I don't want to force anyone into anything. Because I've been on the other side of that before. It really, really sucks. I spent Homecoming (well, technically, Newcoming, since my school only opened my freshman year) my freshman year with a guy I'd only gone with out of pity. Well, half of it. The other half I spent crying in a stairwell...
My friends say I get bogged down in ethics too easily. And that may well be true. But I want what's going to be best for everyone, not just for a few. Yes, it may mean that I won't get a lot of the things I want, but there are compromises. And besides, I'm only in high school. I don't know what's going to happen after this. Yes, I could end up carrying a figurative torch for a guy I'll never see again, but I could also find someone else. The point is that the future is unknown, and why make life more difficult for someone else (in this case, 'Larry') to make it better for yourself?

DO you knnow how awsome you are? I think just go with the flow (flow) ANd whatever happens happens. Boys are always gone and out the door. (same with girls) you'll find love when it's you are ready to find it- and it's ready to find you! Remeber when your stressing over drama everyone else is out dancing. (ps. this also Buni logic so if it doesn't make sense then....... sorry)

The point is that the future is unknown, and why make life more difficult for someone else (in this case, 'Larry') to make it better for yourself? Have to say it appears you have some leg up on most. Pointing out your comments "I'm only in high school." "I want what's going to be best for everyone, not just for a few." You seem to be a very level headed gal. I since a lot of sensibility in you. I have no doubt you will find the one you need some day. It might be good that this "Larry" guy doesn't have eyes for you. The ones you want are not always what they seem. You also have to consider what he sees in this "Susan". He might like her for all the wrong reasons. Or this guy might be shallow. Just keep spending time with the guy. Try to really get to know him. See if he opens up to you. If you to have a solid relationship than at least it is there. As you said the future is uncertain so is any future he has with this Susan girl. She might just break her his heart. Or he might come to terms that she is not the right kind of girl for him. Have you met his parents? Even if you are just friends constant contact with is family is a good thing for a budding relationship.

That happened to someone I know! She was really depressed about it... Then to add to the gloom I actually liked the person who liked her and she didn't like and nobody liked me... which was really depressing, but not surprising.
