Tiffany stood, basking in her own glory. Everyone seemd to always want to stare at Tiffany for hours and hours because she had such a bright and shining personality and appearence, and she was no exeption. It seemed lately everyone she ran into got angry, which was certainly unexplainable. All she would ever do was give them useful advice, like tell them what aresa of their body needed serious improvment, and they would totally flip out!

Alot of these encounteres with very confused soquili ended up badly for Tiffany. She would get her hair ruined, her fur dirty, once she even had an angry Kalona try to eat her! Perhaps she wasted all her luck by being born beautiful, because now it seemed like even with her wonderful personality, others would still get angry for absolutly no reason!

No problum, though. She had spent the day cleaning up, and she was glowing in her usual beauty. Every hair perfect, her coat glistening, rivaling the sun itself. Of course, the sun wasn't even visable now, the sky was heavy with deep overcast clouds.

"You better not rain" she said dangerously at the sky "Because that would ruin my hair" she finished. The sky wouldn't dare defy her and make it rain, oh no. It would listen, because she was...well, herself. So there was no way it would rain, right?

Although she probably didn't know it, Tiffany had a supporter in the 'please don't let it rain' department, albeit for slightly different reasons. Guilian had always adored the rain for his own sake; having his mane plastered to his body only emphasized his muscular physique, and if there were any mares around...well, they were likely to be chilly and in need of warming!

However, his roses had never appreciated being rained on, and as he'd JUST acquired some new roses, he was loathe to lose them so soon. After all, they gleamed so nicely and smelled so fragrant, they deserved some time to be appreciated before being wilted and smooshed by driving rain!

He appreciated them, at least; appreciated the way their colors accented his own black markings, the way they brought out the vibrant red tones of his tail and mane...

"Indeed, there is much to be said for the co-existance of beast and flower, no? And not only for the nutritional benefits!"

Laughing in his buoyant fashion, Guilian glanced up from the stream where he'd been admiring his reflection. He looked amazing, obviously, and now it was time to actually go out there and DO something about it...hopefully with the weather cooperating. Glancing up at the sky, he gave it one last scrutinizing look, then shook his head at it. "Remember, rain is a positive in the right amounts, my friends. And at that moment, that amount is none!"

And then, smiling, he was trotting off in search of something of interest...or rather, hopefully, someONE!

Tiffany beamed at her reflection. Then she pouted. Then she looked thoughtful. She had to make sure every movement she made reflected the perfection that she indeed was. Only when she was angry did she ever break character, but then again, she never got angry. She was far too perfect and lady like to loose her temper.

She looked up from herself, the smelt vaugly of storm. "Don't make me angry at yo..oo.." she trailed off, something caught her eye a bit further down the stream. A bright red stallion stood out amongs the other colors. She couldn't see much of him from the point she was at, but it didn't matter. He, like everyone else, was an underling. Still, maybe she would offer him some kindness.

She strutted up to the stallion, her walk, like everything else, practiced down to a science, from the way she hel her head, to the way she kept her tail from dragging too much. That was one trouhble with such a wonderfully long tail, it always had to be taken extra care of because it dragged on the ground. But she would far prefer to have a long, gorgous tail then have some gross short one.

As she got closer, she noticed he was indeed a wind soquili. Another one with wings! Curious, it seemed they were rather common around these parts, just the other day she had ran into Ariston. But he wasn't a wind, he was a Kalona. But he might as well have been a wind, he certainly wasn't as vicious as the other Kalona she ran into.

Considering the brightness of the mare, it wasn't surprising that Guilian became aware of her soon after she became aware of him. In the winter amidst the snow, her white coat might have managed to blend in; but today, the green of the grass made her stand out like a sore thuimb.

A very lovely sore thumb, though...the kind that he'd be more than willing to kiss and make better. Without speeding up or changing his direction in the slightest, he continued towards the mare, taking advantage of their growing proximity to size her up as she approached. And that she was approaching, he had no doubts...

Although her color was the first thing he'd noticed, the stallion was swift to observe a few other things about her. She had no wings, for starters...though that wasn't unusual, these days. It seemed as though all the mares he'd met lately were wingless; perhaps there was a reason for that?

Additionally, she had a very trim figure, one that she seemed to be accenting with some sort of flower...

That fact made him smile. Was this another mare that identified herself with a flower, as in the case of his recent acquaintance Lavandula? Or was she, like himself, merely fond of the flower for what it could offer? Either way, he was intrigued.

As the two came within hearing distance, he, being the gentleman, decided to be the first to break the ice. "Good afternoon, Chica. Though the sun isn't out, it is nice to see that there is yet a brightness to be seen."

Tiffany beamed at him, the one she had practiced. Now that they were just a few feet away, she could see him more closely. Clearly he took care of himself, Tiffany could always tell weather a soquili cared about appearence or not, it was obvious. It disgusted her if they didn't.

Also, he had black roses entwined in his tail, was well as one on his chest and one behind his ear. Interesting. She had noticed that most soquili wern't sensible enough to give themselved flowers. They were exellent decorations, soft and delicate, giving off a beautiful aroma. But the upkeep was hard, with them dying and such, and they attracted bugs. It was worth it though, sometimes to be beautiful, you have to work.

"Thank you, clearly you have an eye for exellence" she said, wondering what chica meant. But with the contents of the rest of his sentence, she could tell it probubly wasn't a bad thing. "And what might your name be? I know you are dying to know mine, who isn't?" she said, laughing. "So I shall grace you with it. I am Tiffany, the most gorgeous mare ever to walk this earth. It is a pleasure to meet you" she added.

Perhaps he already know who she was, though. Or maybe he had come to worship her. Having worshippers might be fun. She had already doen the whole servant thing, and it didn't work out to well, he ended up being disloyal and mean. So maybe worshippers would be more loyal, and give her all the attention she so obviously deserved.

"Have you come to worship me, then?" she asked, not considering it was an odd question. After all, there was a good chance this was why he was here, right? And maybe he was getting nervous, accually seeing her in her full glory. She knew beauty could be intimidating. In fact, in the past, others had gotten so intimidated and flustered they would start insulting her, or being rude, because they were too ignorant to know the difference!

As the mare drew nearer, Guilian noted the elegance of her hair, the proud sweep of her tail, the lift of her chin; everything about her spoke volumes about her own feelings of self-worth, even before she had a chance to open her mouth.

However, hearing her introduction revealed all that and more.

He wasn't the type to be put off by pride, after all; there was nothing wrong with feeling a healthy amount of self-confidence, moreso when it was earned. And looking over this mare...he could definitely say it was earned.

Consequently, his smile was amused and his eyes dancing as he swept her an open-winged bow of greeting, the movements graceful as always. "I've always flattered myself that I had an eye for the attractive, my dear Tiffany-Chica, and as you so-thoughtfully pointed out, you are a very attractive mare." Still smiling, he drew himself back up to his full height, taking a casual step closer to the mare so that they were able to see each other's faces clearly before offering his own introduction. "And my name is Guilian, Tiffany-Chica...though you are welcome to amend that as you will."

Winking at her, he took a step back, flicking his rose-adored tail; she had quite the way with words, this one...did that way extend to other things, he wondered? He'd obviously have to see. But first, he'd have to set something straight.

"Worshipping was not necessarily my plan when I started off this morning, Chica; I'd have to describe this meeting as...a fortuituous happenstance of the highest order. However, worshipping has it's drawbacks, wouldn't you say? It tends to lead to an over-abundance of awe on the part of the worshippee, causing them to descend into shivers and general nervousness and drastically reducing their usefulness and aesthetic value. Personally, I think that I shall remain an admirer."

And more, if he could manage.

She continued to smile. Gosh, this stallion certainly knew how to treat a lady. Finnally someone understood that they should act properly and respectfully around her. She was the most wonderful mare in the universe, after all. How many times had a soquili walked by her, either ignoring her or being rude, obviously out of jelousey or something of that sort. Too many.

"Why do you call me Chica?" she asked, becoming increasingly curious. It was a term she hadn't heard before, and he certainly used it quite alot. "And thank you, I know. It is a pleasure to grace you with my presence, Guilian. How are you on such a...dreadful day?" she asked, looking up at the sky. It had turned a shade darker, and looked as if it was going to storm. Stupid sky, hadn't it heard her ask it not to rain before?

"I guess you are right" she said, thinking about it. She wanted those who served her to be at the top of her game. In fact, when she had a servent, she had to put an effort in to make him presentable. "You may admire, then, if that is what you prefer" she said, thinking that would be fine for the moment, at least. Maybe he could be a worshipper later, and every once in a while she could let him just admire. Then maybe he wouldn't shrival up, or whatever he said?

She flicked her curl out of her face a bit, letting it hang gracefully. It had been some time since she had gotten caught in the rain, and it was never a pleasent experience. Absolutly tragic for her mane and tail. And usually dirty water. Worst of all, after the rain was the mud, which was absolutly out of the question. Mud was dirty, and got everywhere. Also, others had made it a habit to kick mud at Tiffany in a jelous rage, which was veyr unfair and unfortunette.

"I fear it might storm" she said, frowning. "Do you know anywhere near that has cover?" she asked, hopefully. Tiffany didn't envy getting wet at all. She was not entirly farmiliar with these parts, so maybe there was a cave or something nearby, and if they took cover in it before it began to rain, it would solve the problum. She would also be stuck alone in a cave with Guilian for some time. But who cared, he seemed like a good admirer.

Were it not for the complete and utter absence of anything remotely kalona-like, Guilian could very well have been talking to Ariston's long-lost twin sister. The same sense of self-worth, the same assertiveness...

Then again, in Ariston that ego was a bit more muted, at least when Guilian was around. Still, in this mare there was something amusing about it, something that just made him smile. He was reminded of a filly, a filly stretching her wings for the first time and testing her boundaries. Even if this mare was truly 'that sort,' there was a charm to it.

Which was why he was more than willing to put up with the mare's somewhat blunt turns of phrase. She was a challenge, and a challenge was something he'd always enjoyed.

"Chica? Ah, it's a fancy way of saying 'mare,' that's all; I got into the habit of using it back when I was younger and it's always stuck. Saying 'hey you' when greeting an unknown mare always seems so crass, at least to me." And he'd managed to retain the habit so much that he called mares Chica even after learning their names! Ah well, it was part of who he was.

Her acqueisence to his idea was a small step in the right direction, at any rate, and he acknowledged it with a bob of his head, along with a rakish grin. "Admire I shall, Tiffany-Chica, for as long as I can. It's been some time since I've been treated to such a vision in white, after all..." And he accented that thought by giving her a rather pointed once-over. "You are a stallion's delight, Chica."

And one that he could definitely do with spending some time with! Her query as to where they might take cover might not have meant anything additionally to her, but it made his grin a great deal wider. Shelter, eh? So she too didn't feel like getting wet. Well, the least he could do was aid a lady in need!

Glancing back the way he'd come, Guilian pondered for a moment before looking back at the mare. "Well, there are the lower hanging trees of the woods, but I fear that the utility of such would become diminished the longer we were stranded. If it's total shelter you desire, there are a few caves back that way a bit; they're not exceedingly roomy, but dry and serviceable."

And well-known to him, from the past...

Tiffany giggled attractivly. She had never had a stallion praise her quite like this. Sure, she had gotten praise. But the way Guilian did it was musical almost, making her feel more beautiful then she knew she was. Which was probubly a bad thing, for Tiffany at least.

"Oh, well then I supose you may call me that, considering I am quite clearly a mare" she said, thinking about how dreadful it would be to be one of those horendous mares that could easily be mistaken for stallions, with their unkept manes and tails, and their oddly muscular form. Tiffany liked to keep her body petite, just the right weight with enough muscle so that it accented her, but not made her look manly. The perfect in between, just like everything else.

He went on and on about how wonderful she was, and Tiffany absolutly loved it. "You stallions around here are so friendly. Why just the other day I met some stallion named...oh what was it. Oh yes, Ariston!" Tiffany had never been good with names, because usually she could care less, and was often far to busy thinking about herself to even notice that others had a name. But Ariston's name was worth remembering, he was polite and kind to her at all times. From the looks of it, Guilian would be worth remembering as well.

"Well minor coverage certainly won't do. Are you stupid? I mean, look at me. I NEED complete coverage against the rain" she said. The sky was almost black, and looked like at any moment it would break open and rain on the world. How rude. Even the air seemed heavy, as if it was ready to form dropplets with how thick it was any minute. "Take me to the caves...and hurry about it!" she said despretly, not wanting to get wet.

She wondered just HOW close he meant. Certainly it couldn't be too cramped. Hopefully she wouldn't be pressed up against him, either. Of course he seemed clean enough for that. Tiffany had never even thought of anything sexual before. In fact, she never considered it, ever. As far as Tiffany was concerned, there was no difference between stallions and mares, they were just others. She didn't need a mate, or a stallion friend, or whatever. Her ego could be her best friend, her mate, and whatever else one needed.
PostPosted: Sun May 27, 2007 4:03 pm

Giving the mare an amused look, Guilian shrugged his shoulders at her somewhat huffy take on the trees. "Well, for all I know you might enjoy a light drizzle; after all, it'd put a little sheen on your hooves and nose, emphasize those big green eyes of yours, provide a fresh clean feeling without all the hassle of getting drenched...but if your wish is to be completely dry, then I shall do my best to grant it."

Smiling, he started off in the direction of the closest cave, thoroughly amused at how this was going. That grin widened once again at her mention of Ariston, and he found himself slowing a bit to walk beside her. "Ah, so you have met Ariston, Tiffany-Chica? A fine stallion and an excellant friend, that one; he and I have known each other as long as I've been in these lands. I trust that you enjoyed your time with him? He's always been a model...conversationalist."

So she'd met Ariston, hrm? But was it a meeting, or was it a MEETING? Given Ariston's more selective nature, Guilian could very well have seen it being either...but of course, that just meant he'd have to find out.

As the two moved in the direction of the caves, Guilian as well took note of the sky, frowning slightly at the turbulence of the clouds. "Hrm, we might not be able to make it in time, Chica...so perhaps a little more hoofing it is in order?"

And then, just in case she didn't know what he meant, he took off at a canter. "Let's put those lovely legs to good use, no?"

Tiffany shook her head "Well, I guess I would look nice in the rain. But I supose I could just have you come over next time I bathe" she said, unaware that the sentence may sound a bit seductive. "Because I do look nice, and it is always good to have admirerers. But I hate the rain, it ruins my hair and is dirty" she said, following him. He seemed to know exactly what to say when she was about to go off to make her stop.

Her metting with Ariston had been a good one. The two had basically just spoken of how wonderful they were, and gossiped, and whined. It was exactly what Tiffany needed now and again. She enjoyed his company quite a bit, and it was interesting to know that they were friends. Maybe it was just the two of them that were so charming and friendly to her. Too bad.

"Oh yes, he was quite the nice stallion. Although I am a bit surpised that he was a Kalona, because, he didn't act like the one I met once. The stupid ugly thing tried to eat me. Why in the world would you do that?" she said, genuinly baffled by that. Why WOULD someone want to eat her? Maybe he too was jelous. It seemed a bit extream to want to EAT her out of jelousy, though.

She sighed. Running wasn't as bad as the rain, at least. Although it might make her curls look bad. Ah well, she could probubly deal with it. As a mare, one had to learn to work around problums like this, and Tiffany had been doing it since birth. She would just hold the main side-bang curl until it was straight, and she would be given a cute, less traditional sort of look. That would work out.

"Fine" she said, putting on her pouty face. Good thing she had practiced, they were certainly coming in handy. The mare began to trot, then canter, then gallop. She slowed down, realizing that Guilian would have to be in charge at this point, considering he knew where they were going. Of course, Tiffany was so smart, she could probubly figure it out on her own. But sometimes it was much easier to just make others do things for you.
PostPosted: Sun May 27, 2007 4:49 pm

Even if Tiffany hadn't realize the power of what she was saying, that was ok; Guilian had gotten there on his own faster than she possibly could have, causing him to actually laugh with amusement. Either she was a very obvious mare, or she was an innocent with no idea how to avoid being sensual. Either way, he was pleased.

"I'll keep that in mind, Chica; perhaps I'll even join you, as I myself have been told I look quite dashing in such circumstances." But that was for another time, naturally! Considering the timing, he was more than willing to discuss Ariston with her; for the moment, at least.

"Aye, Ariston is a far cry from the typical kalona; I too have had my run-ins with the breed, but, as long as one gets out alive, there is a lot to be said for the vigor they provide. You have to admit, escaping them can be quite the energy-boost!" And he'd never had to run for his LIFE before! "Still, you are most fortunate that you weren't eaten, Chica; that would have been quite the loss to the population."

Carrying on a conversation while at a canter was slightly out of the ordinary, but obviously not impossible. Still, Guilian was more than a little pleased when the rocky outcropping the marked the cave's location came into view. It was so hard to converse while breathing hard, after all, and if he got sweaty...well, then he'd go out in that rain regardless. There was NOTHING attractive about sweat.

Slowing to a stop at the cave entrance, he peered inside first to make sure that nothing else had had the same idea as them. But once he'd determined it was safe... "Ladies first, Tiffany-Chica."

Tiffany noticed that he gave her an interesting look after her comment about watching her bathe. She was not at the same mind set as most soquili were, to busy wrapped up in herself to think about the opposite sex. She just smiled right back at him, pretending she knew exactly what he was thinking.

"Well, I supose you can. But I won't probubly take another bath until the morning, because I just took one about an hour ago, and if you bathe to much, your skin gets really dry and flakey, which would be completely tragic. Particularly on your bright red coat" she said, always fond of giving off her advice on upkeep. Most soquili tended not to apprechiate it as much as she belived they should.

"Definetly. And he cares about himself much more then the others tend to. There is nothing good about a soquili who is gross" she said, turning to look forward, realizing that looking at him while running wasn't the brightest idea ever. Then again, Tiffany usually didn't think about what the brightest idea would be at most time. In fact, it was this very mind set that had cause the Kalona to try to eat her. But his hair really WAS bad, and she HAD to tell him that.

"I didn't enjoy it at all" she said, shaking her head. "It just got me messy and sweaty and dirty, running through the woods like that" she said, shuddering at the thought of it. Tiffany slowed down, realizing that she was getting how. She would NOTbreak a sweat, that would be DISGUSTING. She hadn't broken a sweat since the encounter with the evil Kalona, in fact.

They were there. She couldn't see inside the cave at all, but she trusted that no one else was in there. And even if they were, certainly they would leave and give her the cave, recognizing that she deserved it much more. Why wouldn't they? She clearly would need it more. Tiffany entered the cave, but not by much. She backed in, making sure her head was facing the outside, because she didn't fancy being unable to see.

"I wouldn't give it anything for charm, but I guess it will do" she said, finally all the way in. It was dark and musky, but at least it got the job done. Right on time too, because she could see that it was begining to lightly sprinkle outside. Hopefully it wouldn't rain too much, she didn't want to be stuck in this cave for a while. And plus the mud. But the dark skys streched on for as long as she could see.
PostPosted: Sun May 27, 2007 5:16 pm

The 'advice' Tifanny gave wasn't received hostilely; after all, Guilian hadn't gotten to this point in his looks and 'career' by not knowing how to take care of himself. Her advice was amusing in the same way that a child ordering an adult around was, and just like that adult, he humored her. "Naturally, Chica; proper care of one's body is the most valuable thing one can do to further both longevity and maximum attractiveness."

Tossing back his curls, Guilian smiled as he noted the absence of sweat; perfect, as usual. Glancing at the mare, he noted that she was in fine order as well, barring maybe a slight touseled look to her mane. Then again, there was nothing wrong with that; it brought a bit of a 'natural' feeling to the somewhat stiff mare.

"Well, that's a pity, Tiffany-Chica. Proper exercise can be a major boon, no?" As he spoke, he ducked into the cave as well, glancing about and trailing a wingtip carefully along one wall. Hrm, it was a bit dusty...but no matter. "I suppose this will do. Cozy!"

Tiffany shifted slightly closer to him in the cave. It was dark, and he was clearly much cleaner then the side of the cave. The rain was really coming down now, in buckets. Great, stuck in a cramped cave with a stallion she had known for a very short while. Thunder boomed, and she jumped. Tiffany wasn't fond of storms.

"It is so true" she said, shaking her head. Her hair was probubly a compelete mess. How wreatched. But certainly she could pull it off, Tiffany could pull ANYTHING off. Even getting the proper amount of exersize every day with otu breaking a sweat. Then again, just getting her hair to look right could be a very trying exersize every day.

"Yea...cozy" she said, not completely enthused by this. Tiffany was not used to be at close quarters with another. In fact, she had never really been in her entire life. When living alone like she did, she never really got the chance. In fact, the closest she had ever gotten was probubly in some sort of fight.

"My hair is wretched" she said dramaticly. Tiffany learned a long time ago that if you want compliments, just say something about you was off, and whoever was near would immediatly jump to tell her how gorgeous she was. Unless the person near was someone who didn't like her, but she had enough sense around THEM to just not mention her minor faults that she might have noticed. Of course, she was always perfect, so there WERE no faults. But they might try to make her imaginary faults real.
