I'm a huge fan of zombie movies. I am not sure why it entertains me so, but the best way to my heart is through chocolate and zombie flicks.
Anyway, I recently saw 28 weeks later. I thought it was quite a good movie, although predictable for the most part. The gore was fantastic and I loved the actors and actresses they chose.
SPOILER: Highlight to read ->> I found it so typical that the kids were going to sneak past the barrier and go to their old house. That pissed me off so much, the military had everything under control and thanks to those two brats who wanted to get some of their old stuff, they killed off the town. And the whole eye thing? COME ON.
I loved the rest though, especially when they are running in the park and the 'copters blade slices the zombies up. smile
End of spoiler.
So what's your feelings about this movie? How do you like your zombies (Resident evil type, Dawn of the Dead type... How much zombies rule.

I loved 28 Days, and I loved 28 Weeks. 3nodding
I saw snippets of it in my job at the movie theater, so I knew most of the plot before I sat down and watched it in all of its glory. The acting was great, as were the special effects. I'm very excited about the third one.
The kids did annoy me a bit, though; first the thing you mentioned, but also (spoilers - highlight smile when they were in the underground safety bunker (a.k.a. a parking garage) and the Infected dad was pounding on the door. Rather than realizing that "Hey! They put us in this highly protected bunker with no lights for a reason! Maybe I should get the ******** away from the door!" everyone starts walking towards the door that a horrible zombie-monster-thing is pounding on. It makes me sad to see British people being so dumb.
Other than that little wiggle, awesome movie.

Highlight: I know, the parking garage part was so weird. If I saw a zombie, I would have everyone move to the other side and would have taken a weapon (even a chunk of a car) and had everyone start attacking the zombie dad. My sister is sitting next to me and is saying that the military guy should have caught them when he said "there are two pups out there" and never allowed them to get that far after they were spotted running.

Really, the movie kind of had a cynical message, though.
"When there's a natural catastrophe, survivors ******** everything up. Just shoot them before it gets out of hand."

I don't remember 28 days later much, all I remember was it started from monkeys.
The second was o.k., though I didn't find the plot very appealing. Then again, zombie plots aren't very thought out in the first place, save for Resident Evil, I enjoyed that one very much.
The thing I did like about the movie, though, was (highlight): Everyone died. There was plenty of blood and guts galore, and I love a gory movie. Most zombie movies disappoint me because not enough people are eaten alive, this one satisfied that hunger, however. The fact that those two kids caused everyone to die was irritating, though. Spoiled brats. I hope they get eaten by zombies in the next movie.

I hate zombies. They scare me - especially the 28 Days Later... ones. They were fast, creepy and smart. *shudder*

28 Days Later is not a zombie movie, nor is it's sequel. Just wanted to clear that up.
Anyways, both movies are very good, and very well done. I was surprised at how good the second one was, usually sequels are busts.
If you want a cheesey zombie movie, watch Dead and Breakfast, it was so ridiculous, and not really zombies in the truest fashion, but it gave me some good laughs.

I liked they whole "They're not zombies" thing. That was funny.
But, I loved the end, how they were wrong about the kids.
Also, I got flamed for saying this in the music forum, but the lyrics of "A Favor House Atlantic" by Coheed and Cambria are a quite a bit like this movie, it's almost like it's based on that song.

That good old movie cliche where the moster remembers it's past. The entire point of the T-Virus was that you turned into a monster and then couldn't remember anything about your life, so you just went destroying stuff. It really possed me off.The first one was pretty good though. I don't know if I'm going to see the third or not.
