I found this wonderful website a while back called "Operation Military Support" that collects the names and addresses of our servicemen/women overseas who don't get any mail, so that volunteers can write to them.
www.operationmilitarysupport.com
I think it's a great idea and thought I would post it. biggrin (Sorry if it's been posted before, I didn't see a topic for it!)
Also, they have a way of sending in big care packages to go to a whole group, not just one person in particular, which is also great. I'm planning to get my friends together on one so we can all put in some nice things.

Lol, I already have a soldier I support, I know it sounds selfish, but I've adopted so many soldiers, not through websites, but as someone they can talk to on IM late at night. I'll stick with my tony now

there are all kinds of websites you can go to to help out soldiers and vets. Some specialize in one or the otehr some help both.
Soldiers Angels Patriot Guard Riders ARMEDFORCESTRIBUTE.com I know there is more can not think of it off top of my head.. Most local VFW, American Legion and DAV's have programs to help current and past War vets as well.
