I've had a large number of small pets with unfortunate deaths...Majority of them at the hands (er....paws...) of my psychotic cat. He's killed four hamsters and three fish now.....Keeps finding new, creative ways to get them....

My guinea pigs avoided him, though two out of the three died of other reasons. One of age (she lived a long, long life), and one of illness (the old one's daughter). Phoebe, the older one, was the sweetest little thing...Never bit anybody, always loved to doze off while you were holding her, never protested when you had to give her a light bath.

The hardest death I've experienced in my life was the death of my rotweiler, Ranger. I grew up with that guy. Had him from ages five to thirteen. He was my best buddy, just the coolest companion. Always mellow, always happy (even during the cancer), incredibly smart while at the same time gullible enough to eat his medicine in cheese....

We used to have two dogs for as long as I could remember, neither of them liked me very much because they wee around from before I was born. Cubby was the younger one, but we had to put her down first because she was having daily seizures and we hated to see her suffer. That was maybe when I was twelve. Jody was put down maybe about four or five years after, she suffered of the same thing.

Both of those days really made me sad... I'm kind of pushing back tears right now just thinking about them, and how afraid I am of the day we have to take Sunny in for the same fate. I think that that's one of the few things that really hate about dogs...

There was also the magnitude of fish, mainly Spotty the catfish-esque looker, and Cleo

To tell you the truth animal deaths didn't bother me in the least. Sure, it did make me a little sad. But I was a fairly stoic boy back then and didn't let much enter my heart. Hell... I can't even remember some of my pets's names. However, I do remember that they did exist and that I did enjoy them - at least a little.

• Oxy the Hamster. I used to eat Yogurt Drops and other hamster treats with him.
  
• Unknown Guinea Pig 1 and 2. I used to pet them, give them baths, and share fruit with them.
  
• Raleigh McWaddlesworth XIV the Tadpole. Died the day I put him in the water.

I lost my cat, Ginger, the December before last. ;n;

What's so strange though, is the kitten we got last summer who's now nearly all grown up behaves so similarly to him. My mum and I swear he's a reincarnate or something, it's wonderful. <33
