Hitomi sat upon a boulder overlooking a steep hill, the best place to watch the sun set. Her gaze followed the flaming orb as it began to sink below the horizion, and to her back, the moon's glow stregenthened, so that the two massive enteties seemed to battle over who had the domain to light the earth.
Her head shifted to the full moon, and it's silver light began to meld with the golden light of the sun on her pendant. Hitomi was fixated on this play between the cosmos, and oblivios to her surroundings, which had the potential to be quite dangerous for a lone ulaya.....

 Amaroq lifted himself out of the small lake that laid itself along the base of cliff, shaking most of the water out of his coat. He sat alongside the lake; looking at his surroundings, shielding his eyes from the setting sun's rays. He had been at the lake all day today, wanting to cool himself off from the warm weather today. Now it was starting to cool outside, his slightly damp fur was starting to make him freeze. He fell onto his back, looking at the sky, feeling cluless as to what to do now.{{{Sorry if its not much >w<; }}}

Hitomi felt slight droplets of water gently splash upon her paws from below and started. She stood and took afew steps back, severly confused, but then trotted down from her improvised throne and to the little lake below. From behind a small shrub, she spotted a male.
Her jaw dropped and her head tilted as she stared in awe at the wings that sprouted from his back. She slowly crept forward and watched him lay on the grass.

Amaroq began to get used to his fur being so damp, and almost dozed off, closing his eyes and listening to the sounds of nature all around him. Not thinking about the consequences for sleeping out in the open. He heard a slight rustle close behind him and whirled around off of his back and faced the mysterious creature, fur standing on end, and gave out a loud hiss. "What do you want..."

Hitomi's back arched as they stood face-to-face and huffed. "Well, that's very rude!" she said. She walked around the sliver male to the edge of the water, and sat, continuing her viewing of the setting sun.

Amaroq stood there silently for a few minutes, slightly confused by what had just happened. Snapping himself back to reality, he looked over his shoulder at the strange ulaya. "Hmph.." He slowly walked next to her and sat down, looking her over. He found it to be quite odd that she wore a sort of robe and that she had such long hair. He cleared his throat to speak. "Hmm...Well you know, its not all that polite to intrude here, unannounced."

Hitomi sighed, "Well it was you that made a splash, and how was I to know if it was caused by something dangerous?" She said, and looked at him over her shoulder, and caught herself looking at his wings again. "But, nonetheless, I am Hitomi."

Amaroq nodded, "I guess it was my fault for seeming so suspicious." he poked the tip of his paw into the lake and began to lick it, feeling quite thirsty. "Hmm...Hitomi, beautiful name...I'm Amaroq" He looked back over to Hitomi, noticing as to how her sight seemed fixed on something. "Um...is something wrong?"

Her eyes widened and she looke at his face. "OH! Oh, nothing....Just....Your wings are very enthralling.....I've never seen any like them on anyone. Sorry for staring." She said, and looked back at the setting sun and how it cast shades of yellow and red on the clouds.

Amaroq looked back to Hitomi, stunned. It never occured to him for people to compliment on his wings. "It's ok." He smiled and looked over and stretched out his wings, looking at as much of them as he could from his shoulder. "Do they really interest you that much?"

Hitomi nodded shyly. "They are nice," she said and continued, "You also have eyes that are two different colors, like me, except mine are both color on the same eye." She stood and walked closer to the water's edge, seeing the occasional bug land on the water, and even once a frog hop in.

Amaroq was confused. 'two differant eye colors?', he though. He had never known of his eyes to look like that. He leaned over the edge of the lake and looked down at his reflection. Sure enough, they both looked quite differant, or well...as far as he could tell from the shades of blue in the water and the very little sunlight as the sun was begining to set. "Wow..." He said in a mystified tone
Amaroq backed up a little and looked over to Hitomi and looked at her eyes, hopeing that she wouldn't notice him stareing. At first he hadn't noticed, with the green and yellow blending so much, but now that he actually looked, they really were differant colors.

Hitomi was, indeed oblivious to his stare. Her gaze was still held by the water, on which the sun looked as though it was melting gold. She smiled and turned towards him, then stood and walked off a few feet, wondering if he would follow.

Amaroq tilted his head to the side as Hitomi remained silent. Had he said or done something wrong? The silence seemed to last forever. As he watched her walk away he started to follow. "So, where are you gonna head off to next?" He asked, hopeing that he wasn't sounding too nosey or anything.

Hitomi didn't look him in the eyes as she lifted her own into the horizon to watch the sinking sun. "Hmm......I'm not quite sure. It could be to someplace devoid of others, but I'm sort of hoping to wind up someplace where there is company for me. Maybe the beach, its nice and open and there are bound to be others there.....In theory anyway." She said and flicked a piece of dirt from her foreleg, maintaining a pristine appearance.
