It still didn't feel right, although life was very close to perfect.

Milkshake was hardly ever around-let alone Soqui too, so only Vanilla Swirl could keep him company. His daughter. Such strange words, ones he never thought possible. How could someone like him become a father? A good father to love and take care of his children-he hardly knew what was best for himself! Although everything wasn't a total waste-Vanilla did turn out beautiful and healthy. Foolish and rather stupid, but kind. That's all that mattered.

Bliss was woken up from his thoughts by the very one he was thinking about. "Ah, Vanilla good morning." He said rather lazily. The dark idiotic stallion smiled, looking down into the same colored purple eyes that he had. That and her blond hair.

How could life almost do a flip on him, though? First it seemed like he was free and happy, ignorant and fun. But now he had responsibilities. He was a father, a sort of uncaring father, but one nonetheless. A fact he couldn't bring himself to admit-not that he didn't want too, Bliss just couldn't believe it. Even still, Milkshake and him weren't sure of their feelings. Did they love eachother, or were Vanilla and Soqui just mistakes?

Only time could tell. Or someone else.

The young mare jumped up in down in pleasure when he finally woke up. The stupid old stallion wouldn't budge for the longest time until she finally had to scream to get his attention. "Daddy!" She giggled happily, ignoring his confused face when she didn't call him 'Bliss'. It took a while for him to agree that he was a father, and still he had trouble getting used to the fact.

Light purple eyes stared back into his own and the small girl started moving backwards. "Come on you old fart, let's get moving! I want to meet your old friends!" Vanilla Swirl wasn't stupid like her father was, she knew a lot of things. She just didn't know how to process them correctly and most of the time tooks things for something they weren't.

"Let's GO!" She yelled, and dragged Bliss down into the open field.

Life certainly had decided to become a pain in the neck for her. Well, it wasn't fair to say that life was a pain, it had just become a trifle more complicated than usual. Shrugging slightly the mare looked around for the pretty little foal that kept her going nearly every hour of every day for all of time. The pretty purple mare had given up long ago on bothering to make sure her mane and tail were overly pretty...

Something in the air was much more different as of late. Chuckling softly she looked around and then lifted her nose up in-to the air to scent to see what was going on. Throwing her hair up out of her mane and tail she called out to her quick little daughter.

"Ignacia! You get over here right now!"

The filly's sillouhette made to be the most striking thing in the small meadow that she was running around in the valley. Shaking her mane, a rather useless thing to be honest, 'Naci tried not to huff as her mother nagged, nagged, and nagged. Silly mothers.

Back to her hair. Of course, the silly momma was just constantly paranoid about where she went. A small part of her knew that she wasn't her biological mother and she wondered if maybe the paranoia was just based off of her "momma" not really being her mother.

Her mane clue was her mane and tail. While her mane and tail and the hair around her hooves were just as big and uncontrollable as the waterfall of hair her mamma carried, but Naci's hair was made fire. Her regular coat was just silver and everday as her coat grew out more and more flames began to fade in with blue flames...

"Quit nagging mamma! Ye know I'm nae goin ter go anywhere!"

"Yes yes my dear, I know I'm nagging but it's not safe to go out and about... Besides, I've just caught the scent of something or someone and they're familiar. Now then darling.. Is your hair in order for company?"

"When is me hair in order ma?"

It was about time to have fun again, perhaps. No...not perhaps. Just for sure. It was about time that he smiled for real, laughed for real...played like he used to.

And that time was coming, very soon. A small grin was placed on the old stallion's face as he looked at his only daughter, who ran ahead of him. "Where are we going, love?" The dark stallion asked, running to catch up with her. The idiot of a father had no idea where she was taking him or what she had in mind.

Vanilla Swirl laughed, shaking her head slightly at his question. "Not telling you yet, Daddy!" The young mare speed up as she watched him get closer-not wanting him to catch her. It was about time he got out and became the stallion that he said he once was. Bliss wasn't meant to be sad. Well, he wasn't sad but still, cooped up with a daughter and a son was not the life style he was hoping for.

So the least she could do was return the favor and make him seriously smile. "Come on, slow poke! Just a little bit further!"

The sound of someone else coming closer to them could be heard ever so slightly. It made the old dark stallion smile just a bit, to know or rather -think- someone was out there. "Alright, what now?" He turned to his daughter in confusion. What the heck was she up to?

'Naci stamped a foot in impatience and at her mother's nagging moved to go and stand beside Lovey Dovey. "Mam, ye canna mean fer me ter be standin' next ter ye until the coupla people yer scentin' make it inter the valley!" Just to prove her point, 'Naci took off at a full blast, making a slow sweeping circle of the clearing.

Haha! She had managed to make it out from underneath the ruling of her uptight mother... almost.

"Ignacia! You get your fiery rump back over here before I decide to beat you black and purple!" Her uncle HAD to've been teaching her bad habits once again or else she was going to be groing through an unruly phase. Little girls couldn't go through phases like that only a week out of the basket, right? Right?? Oh god... 'Naci seemed to be rather advanced for her age.. couldn't put it past her to grow up too quickly.

Sighing Lovey took off after her daughter, deliberately running slow so the filly could feel like she was winning. Both of them knew what was going on. (Letting her win), but why mess with what wasn't broken? both of them enjoyed the game thoroughly.

"Och! Yer so old mam, Ye know ye canna reach a fire-cracker such as me!"

If anybody were to stumble onto the scene it would almost seem like a crazed mare chasing after some sort of sprite or spirit. Hoping to catch the little fire-ball to make a wish or perhaps to gain true happiness as whimsical as that all seemed. The idea made 'Naci kick up her heels and put her head down to push through the tiredness. She wanted to be just as strong as her uncle and dah someday!

And that scene is exactly what Vanilla Swirl saw at first. Coming into the clearing, light purple eyes gazed upon two females, one was a fiery looking filly and the other a pretty purple mare. The little one was hard to catch since she was running so damn fast, but 'Nilla still spotted her somehow. What in the world were they doing? Ah, well...perhaps she'd go and get her Daddy to talk to them. Maybe they'd have an interesting story enough to get Bliss back up on his feet and moving so he didn't mope around so much.

The young mare turned to her father who finally caught up and she giggled, nudging her head over to the two, which now only looked like a crazy mare chasing nothing. "Daddy, look. There are soquili for you to talk to, let's go introduce ourselves." With that, she took off running in their direction, almost with the same speed as the little filly.

So that's what she was up to? Getting him out and about to talk to random soquili? Well, that's not exactly what he wanted to do. He wanted to see Mahiri again, Milkshake...his son. He wanted to run and play with Rainbow Chaser, to flirt and laugh with Astia and Aruna. To sit and chat up a storm with Lovey Dovey. Heck, he wanted to even argue with Bairn. He MISSED those days so very much. And for lack of a better term used, if Bliss could take back the birth of Vanilla Swirl and Soqui...well, he'd choose to hold them off. Of course he loved both of them with his heart, but his life that once was...was now gone. He was 'Daddy' instead of the 'ignorant lonely fool, Bliss'.

But a happy grin was placed on his face when his daughter pointed out the two. Or rather one, as he could only see. "Well, alright!" The stallion laughed, and followed his daughter down to them. Making the first comment, he shouted. "Hello, m'lady! Lovely day, is it not?" The talking skills that he once had (or didn't have) were barely there anymore...

'Naci continued to kick up her heels in delight as she made loops upon loops upon loops around the area. The flames around her feet danced easily and when the wind picked up just right it seemed as if the hair were gone leaving only a slim growing leg. Of course, the hair regenerated itself over and over again. When she stood absolutely still most people had to stare very carefuly - at least at her feet- to double check that the hair was truly made of fire.

Running certainly helped in getting her uptight mam to forget that they were supposed to be looking like a poised and perfect little family for whoever ambled upon them. Come to think of it, it sure smelled like someone was in their area now. Shaking her head back and forth 'Naci began to slow her pace to an effortless walk. Panting but not worn out, "Och! Mam I canna call ye crazy. I be smellin' the same folks as ye did!" Hopefully her mam hadn't picked up the ugly little phrase, "I told you so."

Oh thank god.. At the ripe age of not-quite-four Lovey felt that the romp in the field to be more than enough for the rest of th is week and probably most of next. Chuckling she walked over to 'Naci's side, as she had allowed the little filly to "win" and get serveral horse and hair lenght's ahead of her to feel like she was winning. Slowly though, Lovey was having to have to run a bit quicker and a bit longer to make the game last as long for 'Naci as in the past. Already her girl was growing up.. Uck! Smiling and nuzzling 'Naci for a moment, relaxing before a most-likely familiar voice called out to her. Both ears pinned themselves cautiously in a fluid movement as they were walking up behind or beside, whichever, her and 'Naci "Stay behind me til I say you may come out young lady."

Turning she saw.... Bliss! Oh goodness, the first Soquili he had ever met in these lands and he had a strangely familiar mare with him. Not that she'd ever met the pretty girl, just that she was oddly familiar... All well, she'd get to that soon enough, "Bliss! Oh my.. did you miss me?"

The presence of the little one was already known to Vanilla Swirl, so she peeked her head around the older mare and laughed. Such a pretty filly indeed, with oddly bright, long and shiny hair. Was this her daughter? Or just a friend? The two of them didn't look anything alike.

She felt as though she was off in her own little world, just staring at the little female until the older one spoke up to her Daddy. "Bliss?" She questioned, tilting her head. So they knew eachother? How sweet! The first group of soquili that they ran into, and her Daddy already knew them! Perhaps that would help him get out of his troubles of feeling old and useless. But Vanilla Swirl wasn't exactly as friendly as Bliss was, so she immitated the fiery little female and hid behind her own Dad. "Bliss?" 'Nilla questioned again, this time towards him instead of Lovey.

It was her! Wait...who? It took a moment or two for his purple eyes to truly gaze upon the mare in front of him and then he burst out laughing. "Lovey! What a surprise!" Bliss jumped up happily and smiled at her. "Lovey, I missed you greatly! I missed everyone, I've been so different lately!" The usually happy ignorant dark stallion had a very serious look on his face when he spoke.

Bliss had yet to see the little one hiding behind his friend from so long ago. "Oh, Lovey. Lovey, Lovey. Wow." The stallion bent down to nuzzle her, but quickly pulled away and glanced back at his daughter. Would she approve, if he did 'stuff' with another mare, when he already had children with another? Milkshake was her mother, not Lovey Dovey. "Here, look." The dark head of his was motioning behind him at Vanilla Swirl.

"I've brought along with me my personal surprise. Meet Vanilla Swirl." Somehow, Bliss had completely forgotten to mention the 'daughter' part, but oh well. If anything, 'Nilla would intrupt with it anyways.

‘Naci chose to simply stare up at the couple that had wandered into her mamma’s lands. Okay, so maybe her mam didn’t really own any of the land, it was just where she called home ‘til she was old enough to return home to be with her dah. Although dah didn’t seem to like mam that much. Hehe.

Blinking lazily, ‘Naci shook out her mane since a few flies had tried to land on her and her hair. Strange that even though both her mane and tail were made entirely of blue flames she still couldn’t light flies on fire. Sure, they irritated her but her mane and tail only ever became truly dangerous when her thoughts were rage-filled or incredibly frightened. Waitaminute. Her momma knew the stallion that had wandered into the area? Weird, she learned something new every day. Chuckling ‘Naci stepped up beside her mam proudly, she bet that the stallion would be proud of her mother for managing to find and begin to raise such a pretty little filly.

Lovey was too distracted by the unexpected surprise of getting to see Bliss again to truly register that her daughter had stepped up beside her. Bah! Ignacia had never really been one to follow commands, just like her father and her uncles. Shaking out her long blue-purple mane, Lovey stepped up to the stallion and smiled softly. There for awhile Bliss and she had toyed with the idea of being a couple at least subconsciously. Part of her knew still that she‘d be content playing and laughing along with Bliss as she aged. But.. He had a daughter now didn‘t it?

All of the effort in the world helped to keep Lovey from frowning at the little mare that stood behind Bliss. He might not be the quickest stallion in the world, but she was a relatively smart mare. From the looks of it Bliss had parted ways with her with just enough time to go and be with Milkshake. Sighing softly Lovey was even more surprised when her friend pulled away from a friendly nuzzle. Ahh, right.. Daughter might not be happy about that.

“Vanilla Swirl? It’s lovely to meet you..” Those words were truly meant and the sadness she had allowed herself for a moment or two fully lifted, “Now then.. Are you his daughter?”

A moan came from the young mare as her Daddy spoke. Vanilla Swirl...? Did he honestly have to use her full name when introducing her? Of course it was a name given to her by her mother, whose name was also very 'delicious' and fun sounding, but Vanilla perfered just 'Nilla. It was short, cute and a lot less embarressing. "It's 'Nilla." She spat out quickly, giving Bliss a strange look. "Just 'Nilla, please."

Now Vanilla Swirl was a very confused mare. She didn't know what she wanted, she didn't know what she was doing most of the time, and worst of all...she was jealous of those who had something a lot cooler than her. So, looking at the little filly...the young mare growled. Eh, she probably wasn't the mare's true daughter, so that didn't bother her-but she had really cool hair.

But when Lovey spoke to her, the female definitely perked herself up and tried to act the best she could. "Yes, I'm his daughter. And Milkshake is my Mommy, madam."

It was Bliss's turn to take charge of his daughter. She was different, but then again so was his son Soqui, himself and their mother. It was a strange family, one that wasn't meant to be-but it happened, nonetheless. "Vanilla Swirl, please don't be mean. Lovey's my best friend." He spoke softly, there was no way he could ever yell at the only mare in his life that shared the same eye color as himself. Ah, that was another thing. They looked so similiar, because of the color in her mane, the color on her hoofs and her eyes. So the daughter/father thing was pretty obvious.

"Lovey, listen. I'm sorry..." The dark stallion did his best to whisper while his daughter was staring deeply at the young filly. "Milkshake...it just kind of happened..." There was still a part of him that denied having children until one of them showed up and called him Dad. Such an odd concept. HIM having children, of all stallions? "Anyways, who's that?" Bliss nodded off at Naci, grinning. She was a pretty filly, and her hair rocked.

.

‘Naci stared at the cream colored mare with dark spots on her mane and hooves and knew without a doubt that this Bliss stallion was the mare’s father. Chuckling softly, ‘Naci shrugged before taking another step forward to stand a bit farther out than her mother was. “’Nilla, eh?” Why did the mare look cranky to have a full name that was a bit unusual? If luck wasn’t on her side she could’ve ended up with some god awful name like Mary-Sue or Jeanette Anne.. Haha!

The little one, ‘Naci, had never been one to back down. A quick row with a kalona and a shortened argument with a skin walker had been two rather interesting occasions that had left ‘Naci more courageous than ever. Her mam said she was fool-hearted with her temper and someday she’d grow to realize that fighting all the time only made life twice as hard. How would her mam know? She was so soft most of the time…

“Madam? What’re ye madam’n me mam fer? She’s nae a day o’er four an yer nae that much younger’n her.” Oh lordy, Lovey would probably n** at her for having an “attitude with elders.” Bah!

Lovey nearly giggled when she saw the look on Bliss’ face when he had to take charge of his young daughter. So the apple didn’t fall very far from the tree on his first set of children, eh? Well that was alright.. Poor Bliss deserved to have someone as sweet as he was, probably age would make the miss ‘Nilla mellow out. “Oh Bliss, she’s not being mean just protective of you.” Okay, ‘Nilla had been a bit rude in her addressing, but why make the poor father think he had brats for children? “I’m going to assume that you have more than just that pretty mare right there? Do you have another daughter? A son? Two?” Curiosity killed the cat you know…/

Lovey stepped forward, pushing aside her daughter and Bliss’ to nuzzle the stallion softly. Whatever was possibly between them couldn’t surface until they had time to speak alone. She couldn’t resist finding one thing out though, “I knew you loved Milkshake my dear friend.. Did you two become life mates?” Boy was that answer either going to confuse to calm her… “And this darling bundle of energy is my own daughter.. Ignacia.” Time to explain it all, “She’s not precisely my daughter… I adopted her.” Normally she’d hesitate to say that with ‘Naci present, but her ever-quick daughter had already figured it out.

When the little voice came out it made Vanilla Swirl smile. Such a cute little girl, with a mother that...well, nothing was wrong with her except the fact that she knew Bliss. 'Nilla hated it when other mares talked to her father, because her mother was never around to defend what was hers. Or not hers.

But when 'Naci spoke her complete sentence, the cream colored mare literally laughed. As hard as she could, out of both rudeness and curiousity, either one but 'Nilla found it hiliarious. Since when did little fillies go off talking like they were from a whole different world!?! Did her mother and father not teach her things correctly?

And plus, the voice was terribly hard to understand, so she could only go along with it. "I'm younger, so I can say madam." Vanilla Swirl stared down at the little filly, as if to give her the 'I'm in charge' type look, but not before turning her head over to her Daddy and Lovey. The mare completely tunned out the older looking mare's words and just focused on Bliss. He seemed ridicously happy to her his friend again, which was good enough for her. Anything to get him to truly smile...

So Vanilla turned her attention back to the fiery filly, blocking out the adults all together.

All he could do was smile. She was here, he was with her. Of course Bliss cared about Milkshake, but she was hardly ever around anymore, just like before. It was almost as if she gave birth and let the raising up to him, but then Soqui took off as quickly as he grew-Vanilla stayed. There was one thing about a mother/daughter relationship, but their father/daughter relationship was damn strong. The giggle that came from his friend made him giggle in return.

"I don't want my...uh...daughter to protect me though, I'm the...uh...father. I'm supposed to do the...protecting, right?" The dark stallion's words were close to mutters, and he felt rather stupid. Still this father deal was pretty tough on him. "Oh, yes...I have a....son, Soqui. Just the...two of them." Her nuzzle was kind, and it made him nuzzle her back-he didn't care if Vanilla Swirl was watching or not, she had no right to over power his own life, did she? Bairn always said the older soquili, or the father of the family had the advantage. Right?

Her question, though, was a bit much. Bliss didn't want to answer it, but he had too. It was only fair to her. "No...we didn't want this, ...them...but it happened, so we're parents. I...we...I love her but, I'm not sure anymore." The stallion was completely ashamed to be admitting to something that went against the feelings he had so long ago. But he hated this life now, he wanted his old one back. "Really? Adoption? That's...umm...? But you didn't...birth her?"

‘Naci could hardly believe the way the white-ish mare was behaving. Her mam had told her many many times that she had almost no manners, but this was worse than she had ever managed to behave around others. Shrugging slightly, ‘Naci figured she hadn’t been raised properly. Maybe she’d just tell her that.

Oh-ho! Now this Snooty ‘Nilla was laughing at her? The Scots’n’Irish that had been adopted into her blood nearly made her twitch with the desire to pin her ears, attack, and show who wasn’t as good. Her mam was the best mam in the world, as was her dah. Sure, she didn’t see him that often, but at least he knew what day of the week it was!

“Yer nae younger by much, but I’m much younger than ye. So can I call ye madam, ye snooty bit o’ goods?” Luckily Lovey was busy talking to Bliss and ignoring the way that ‘Nilla had treated her or else ‘Naci had a feeling that she’dve been pushed to the ground and shown how to behave. Even the people that Lovey abhorred had to be treated with mild respect. Och, what a wast of time. “Jest because my mam knows yer dah doesna mean a thing! Me mam has me ter take care of an’ I bet ye that she’ll nae want ter waste her time takin’ care o’ a male!” Her orange eyes darkened a bit and her mane began to crackle. ‘Naci’s temper was up. Somebody could end up burnt.

Lovey could hear what ‘Naci was saying and what ‘Nilla was saying, but now she was more interested in getting to talk to and spend time with an old friend. Children would be children and for all of both of the girl’s worldly behavior, both were just that - children. ‘Naci had a temper and ‘Nilla was confused about how her father could dare to have female friends that weren’t her mamma. In the back of her mind Lovey tried to remember to hold her tongue and temper in check.

Ahh, there was that giggle of Bliss’ that she hadn’t heard in such a long time. It had been… well a year? Lord how time flew… How long had Milkshake been pregnant? Sometimes Soquili times made her mind boggle and she simply had to shake it out of her head, “Soqui? What a handsome name. I am sure that you’re proud of them so very much.” Bliss wasn’t himself right now, probably the stress of raising little ones. Time would ease his wounds and he’d become his sweet happy self again. Did she still have a crush on him? Probably a small one, but she had been forced to mature too much. Too bad they couldn’t go play again…

Now onto more personal and much more touchy subjects. Mates and children… “Oh Bliss… Don’t let ‘Nilla hear you say that. Sure it was unplanned but…” Oh christ.. Should she tell Bliss what was going on with her? Would he be happy? Sad? Confused? His friendship mattered to her because it was one of the few that she had anymore that lasted, “No.. I didn’t give birth to ‘Naci.. But by our say-so she’s my daughter and I her mam.”

((OOC:: Should Lovey be Preggo? Just barely rounded.. To where others would know but Bliss just figures she got chunky?? Up to you!))

((Sure! That'll make things interesting!))

There was a silence between the two of them for a tiny bit, 'Nilla couldn't tell if it was because the filly was trying to figure out something or she was just being rude. Probably the second one, stupid girl. Looks never leveled out with smarts, you either had one or the other and never both. The fiery blue young'in definitely had looks, and as far as the cream mare could tell-she was going to be a stallion chaser when she was older.

But then she went ahead and called her old, pretty much. Or how Vanilla Swirl took it, she definitely called her old. Oh, that wasn't very nice-one should never call another old. "Madam? Little miss, I'll call you little miss then if you're going to call me Madam." There, that was good enough. Perhaps this silly little fiery attitude filly would take offense to that, there was nothing wrong with being called Madam.

"It does too! My Daddy needs taking care of, and he's spoken of a purple mare before, your mother fits the description. I don't want her hanging around him when he doesn't know what he's doing." Purple eyes watched the little filly's mane, it was almost magical. How the heck did hair do something like that?

Time flew for some, but not for Bliss. It was like having the world dumped on you all at once and then slowly moving so you could personally take in every second of every day. Fatherhood just wasn't his deal, he didn't like being responsible. The dark stallion didn't like having someone else depend on him, it scared the living daylights out of him, and even though Soqui and 'Nilla were grown, he still got scared.

"Soqui, I named him that. Milkshake named our...daughter. Erm...Soqui is short for Soquili, I couldn't think of anything else..." Bliss laughed at himself, the rediculous name of his son would probably haunt him forever, couldn't he think of something more meaningful? "Proud? Well, Soqui looks just like me but with the color of Milkshake's hair, I'm proud of their looks." What else would he have to be proud about? Bliss didn't pry into his children's life, he didn't know much about either of them...

An unplanned pregnancy. It worked for most mares and stallions that lived there, but not him. Even though he adored Milkshake and her him, she wanted the little ones-he wanted to have little ones to be with-he didn't want to be a father. Or at least not a birth father, he couldn't deal with it. Something...not right. What were the gods thinking? "Fatherhood isn't me, Lovey. You should know that. It's more of a job for Bairn, and actually I was planning on dumping the kids at Mahiri when they were young, but Milkshake wouldn't let me...I...it's hard."

There was no smile or frown when he spoke, just a blank stare. Nothing could be done furthur then what already happened. "That's cool, Lovey. At least I'm not the only one. We both have our surprises. Good or bad."

“Och, so yer dah is too much ‘o a ninny ter be able ter take care ‘o himself, eh?” The temper in the blue filly began to gnaw and itch to come out. The little white-coated witch deserved to be charred up a bit. But she’d never actually burnt anybody and the idea did worry her just a little bit. Shaking her head again, ‘Naci nearly made a snarl ad the persnickety mare, “Yer talkin’ like a fool ye are. At least as far as my inklin kin tell.”

Ha! So the mare wasn’t as dumb as she appeared to be for all intents and purposes. Stifling in a chuckle ‘Naci noticed that her mam was fully involved with talking to the dark colored stallion. Maybe now was the best time to act a brat… When mam’s busy. “Oh aye, ye can call me little missy because I’ll always be little missy. Yer always goin’ ter be old in my book.” Was that the little slap the mare wanted to receive? If someone wanted her to be the antagonist. She’d do it.

“Ye keep sayin’ yer dad needs ter be taken care o’. If he were really that incompetent at life in general would he be forced ter jest live in some sorta home fer bumbling eejits?” ‘Naci rolled her eyes and continued to argue on her mother’s behalf, “If me mam is that memorable then perhaps yer mam should meet her and quit tuckin’ tail!”

Lovey knew vaguely that ‘Naci was probably quarreling with the other mare, but right now she was too happy and enthralled with an old friend to do too much parenting. She was new at all of this stuff herself. Giggling slightly, Lovey bobbed her head and just waited while Bliss gathered up his thoughts to talk about his children or whatever else she had asked about. Whenever her excitement got going, remembering what she had asked usually went to the birds.

“Soqui is a lovely name. It has a resemblance to Soquili obviously, but doesn’t detract from him as a stallion.” She had known right away what precisely Soqui had been short for, but personally, she saw it as a cute play on words by Bliss. Not really that dumb at all. Sure, when her babes were born she’d probably do something cutesy with her name. Oh lord, she tell Bliss what was going on? Maybe in a few. “I’m glad you’re proud of them.. They’re both beautiful. Especially if your son got her looks.”

An unplanned pregnancy. Lovey had always scoffed at the couples that had managed to get into them, but now she was in the same boat and understood completely. Actually, hers was a bit worse and the reason she hadn’t told over-many people was because she wasn’t really sure who the father was. The most recent, and only her second lover, probably sired the little ones growing inside of her.. But the edge of the past managed to gnaw at her. “Oh Bliss.. I know having little ones wasn’t your idea of a game, but now that they’re grown you can go back to being their friends. Maybe they’ll play tag… or.. Just other fun games.” She hoped she helped even just a little bit.

His blank expression bothered her and Lovey moved forward to nuzzle at his neck in a comforting manner, “Yes we do.. And I have another quite unexpected surprise to tell you about. I’m hoping this will be a good one for me.”

Vanilla Swirl pondered the little one's words. She made him sound like a complete idiot! Which he wasn't of course-he had his moments but usually Bliss was just a regular stupid stallion. Not a complete one. Of course he could take care of himself, just not himself with children. "Hmph." The mare said lightly, turning her back the fiery big mouth. "Foolish or not, at least I know what's best for my Daddy."

Old? Did that little smart mouthed brat just call her old? Bright purple eyes turned and glared viciously at the small filly not saying anything until a few seconds passed. "Old? Eh, well at least I'm old enough to find love. If your going to stay little forever, missy then you'll never have someone special." 'Nilla tried to go back on her words though, because personally she never wanted to find that special someone because he wasn't out there.

No! Bliss did not belong in a whatever the place she just said. That was't right! Aurghhh...'Nilla growled, not responding to the first half but shaking her head at the last words. "My Momma won't do anything about it, little miss. She's too kind and loving plus she doesn't know of any other mares."

Bliss had no idea, though of course. The words of the other two females were completely blocked out and plus he knew that his daughter would be alright with a filly. She knew how to handle herself (or according to him she did) "You really think so, Lovey? Milkshake liked it too because it was cute by me. I'm not good at naming things..." He paused, and giggled once again. A noise that happened so long ago he wasn't sure if he could fully pull it off-but he did. "Thanks, Lovey. That means a lot to me."

The silence that happened in between their words caused him to think. Would Lovey ever understand what it was like to be a parent when you didn't want too? To have children with someone you weren't sure if you completely loved? Probably not but he could only hope...."Soqui will play with me, he has before. 'Nilla's too busy doing other things to bother playing games with me. Says it's childish."

Her next comment made Bliss smile, and return the nuzzle with greater meaning then before. "Ooh, do tell, Lovey! I want to know this amazing surprise."
