Kubwa had grown fully into his adult form , the fur of adolescene had given way to his summer adult coat. His pale form seemed to "bebop" as he walked, his head bobed his feet wibbled in a silly form of dancing, he was trying to make, Tetemeko, his beautiful little son to laugh. Kubwa still had the same thoughts as a child, still naive and willing to climb trees, and it would be a long road for the two travellers, Kubwa has some mental growing to do, and Tetemeko still had quite a bit of physical growth ahead of him.

After finally reaching Tai's and finding his little boy he was afraid to let Tete out of his sight. There was no way he would loose this one, he loved the pale scruffed little guy more than he loved the creature that had given birth to him.

"We're on our way to see gramdma, have I ever told you about her?" Kub stopped his beboping and turned to the gold and white juvenile.

Tetemeko was much bigger than the little cub that had been left with Tai, or even than the one that the white male had finally come to retrieve from the nanny. He walked along behind his father, happily trying to mimic all of the steps that Kubwa made in hopes of entertaining the young lion. It was quite clearly working as Tete laughed while he followed after Kubwa.

Despite his father's desire to keep him close, Tetemeko was fond of wandering off but always came right back home to tell his father about whatever friend he had made when he'd been gone. He liked to be with his father most especially, for after he'd come to take him home from Tai he'd always been there. Whatever reluctance the cub had had about leaving Tai and her cubs was long forgotten as Kubwa became the one he'd spent the most time with as family. That was all Tete really wanted, his family.

"Not much," he answered from behind his father, standing on one spot but continuing to dance for a second longer. When he finally stopped, he looked up from Kubwa's now still feet with a grin.

A smile spread across his face, of course he could entertain Tetemeko, he was after all Kub's son! Haha! Take that anyone who thinks I am a horrible daddy! The only person who thought that, let alone knew, that he was a daddy a bad one or not was Kubwa...well and a few other adult females, but they were certainly not around and had never seen him really interact with his son.

"Alright, Squirt, my mother's name is Aadil, and she would be your grandmother, because you are of course my son. Everyone has a mommy a daddy and a grandma." He forgot to mention Mvumo..but his thought that Mvumo may not like Kubwa after this mistake loomed, and it was best not to mention him.

"Grandma is the one that taught me all my goofy tricks, you'll like her!"

Tete was blissfully unaware of his father's insecurity about being a father, and even less aware of how many knew they were actually father and son and might expect he was not a good daddy. He personally was very content with his father, and couldn't imagine it any other way. The young lion took a seat as he prepared to hear an explanation of what this grandma was.

"If everyone has a mommy and a daddy, what about your daddy and my mommy?" he asked curiously, tilting his head. Kubwa only mentioned his mother, it didn't make sense for him to say that everyone had both when it seemed like they each only had one. Tete had no questions or doubts about liking his grandmother if daddy said he would, but the seeming lack of parents was curious.

"You are far too smart for your years, Little Man," he smiled and the happiness in his voice was undeniable, "Your mother had to go away for a little while, and hopefully one day she will come back to see both of us. As for my daddy, his name is Mvumo, and I'm afraid he will be mad at me for running away for so long," he could not add that Mvumo may also get mad because he ran away and had a child..and was now bringing him back.

"So smart, tell me something, do you think you would want our little family of two any other way?" Kubwa at first was terrified that his son would need a mother, scared that he would not be able to give the love to this child that he deserved, but thus far Tetemeko was not showing any signs of neglect. The pale lion shook his mane to blow the fur out of his eyes and made a silly face at Tete...hopefully you feel the same way, Squirt.

Tete beamed importantly when his father said he was too smart, taking it to be a very nice compliment. Smart was good, he knew that- especially when daddy smiled as he said it. He listened to his explanation, but didn't seem satisfied with the answer- not about his own mother anyway.

"Why did she have to go away? Where did she go?" he asked, tilting his head, "And why would your daddy be mad at you? Would you be mad if I left for long? I always come back when I'm done playing.." Tete almost sounded insecure about it now. He didn't want to make his daddy mad at him by running off for too long. Since he hadn't met daddy's parents, he knew daddy'd been gone longer than he'd ever gone, but it still seemed like a valid question.

"Well," he paused when asked if he would change their family at all, and slowly shook his head, "Brothers and sisters might be fun, but they might not be. I like how we are." Tete wrinkled his nose, thinking of Sin and Shaji and of Zu and Safuma. They had brothers and sisters, but not all of them sounded like a lot of fun.

Kubwa considered his son's first questions, and was comforted slightly about the fact that Tetemeko would not have their family any other way. Siblings were important..but they didn't have to be Kubwa was sure of that.

"Mommy has a lot of things on her mind, she'll come around when she finds out what she is missing...and never worry little man, I will never in a million years get mad at you. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, you're like..like...a uh... like a star that a lost person uses to guide them home." Kubwa nodded feeling quite silly about his analogy, he never wanted to hear any inclination of insecurity in Tetemeko's voice.

"You're just like me, you know. I took off a little bit too as a kid, promise you wont go away for too long? Maybe just be in shouting distance?"

Tete's expression didn't look any more like he understood the situation when Kubwa said his mother had things on her mind and she'd come around when she found out what she was missing. What on earth did that mean? It sounded less like she had to go away, and wandered off dumbly- like the butterflies he and Zu had had the conversation about. But his mother couldn't be a butterfly, that didn't make any sense.

He brightened up a bit when he was told that Kubwa would never be mad at him, for that was certainly a comforting thought. Being compared to a star was also very encouraging, so he smiled, "Ok." When he was asked not to go away for to long, or go outside of shouting distance, the juvenile looked off to the side suspiciously. He hadn't always been that close in the past, but what daddy didn't know wouldn't hurt him.

"Ok, I promise," he nodded.

"I know it is confusing, it confuses me too. But, what I can promise you is that you will always have a family and a pride. You will always be able to ask anything you want, and I will always try my best to answer."

"Now, let's meet grandma, shall we?" He motioned off into the distance, where he was certain Aadil was laying in the copse of trees that had been his home as a child and looking right back towards his direction. No matter how far away from Aadil, Kip, and Mvumo he felt them and knew they were there, even if they were mad.

Kubwa waited a moment to see if Tetemeko was interested in going, or wanted to wait around a little more. He found his mind wandering towards the yellow goddess and her son, and how their relationship was..what if Boma had stuck around? Would she be the same as Mtima..the same type of mother?

Tete was a little lost in thought for a moment as Kubwa admitted to being confused as well, and didn't reply to the suggestion of going to meet grandma right away. His mommy didn't have to make sense, and he did have his daddy and everyone in the pride just like Kubwa said. He looked up at his father finally and nodded, "Ok, let's go then."

The youth got to his feet and smiled up at his father, trying to be encouraging like his daddy would do for him. If he thought Mvumo would be mad, why wouldn't Aadil? Why wouldn't Mvumo be around? If he'd been gone long enough to make anyone mad, he'd be a little scared himself. Tete had no idea what-so-ever that he was part of the anxiety.

If Tete thought he was confused then he would certainly be drowned by the thoughts that swam through Kubwa's head. He was trying to consider all the odds, all the obstacles, and all the general things that could happen to him and worse, happen to his son.

"Alright, Squirt, let's get moving then," he nodded and started to walk in the general direction of his home. Would Aadil be mad? Would he be able to explain where Tete came from? Or would they know right away? Goodness he wished another adult would be around for him to talk to, one that was not as judging as the goddess and not as rash as his father.

"I do hope you like me.." he muttered inaudibly under his breath. The now adult Kubwa started to wibble his legs and wabble his head trying to excite Tete more about the trip they were taking..and trying to distract himself from everything. If anyone were to watch him he would certainly look strange.

Tetemeko put his mind at ease with little trouble, for now he could easily ignore that daddy might get in trouble for being away so long, or that he was meeting some of his family for the first time and had to make a good impression. None of that mattered to him while they were still just by themselves, there was no reason for the cub to feel nervous around his father.

"Ok then," he hopped along after his father, laughing at the strange way that Kubwa walked. With a grin, Tete skipped to his father's side and then darted through Kubwa's legs to his other side. It was Kubwa's fault for making this such a game.

"Hey, not between the legs, I'll trip!" Kubwa shouted, but his voice came out with a jumble of chuckles so there was no possible way it could be taken seriously. He smiled at Tete and paused for a moment to catch his breath. "You remind me of me! Do you think you'd like to learn to climb trees?"

It would be easier to talk and walk, Kubwa, still makinng funny wibbling movements with his legs continued to watch Tete for an answer. Time elapses quickly as you walk though and the lands, it always had and before they knew it they were quite close to Kubwa's childhood home, hopefully what would still be his home. They were still far off to actually see the family, or for the family to see them, but soon..soon the white lions would be impossile to hide.

Aadil paced the copse quietly, she'd instructed the yellow lion to meet with her if he found her missing son. But, the mother lioness' hopes seemed torn to pieces she was sure he would not be returning to her, he had left nearly as a fresh juvenile and by now Kipanya, her smarter son, was already an adult, leaving Aadil to worry that perhaps Kubwa had been hurt..captured by something, or worse.

There was practically a worn line in the soft earth were she marched, always one to worry, she was thinking quietly that soon she should probably venture to the watering hole for a relaxing bath, she spent much time in the water.

"Pbbbt," Tete stuck his tongue out at his father when he was told not to go through his legs like that. With a grin, he darted right back through defiantly, then started to laugh. He almost couldn't hear the question about climbing trees, but managed to stop his laughing to catch it and take the time to reply.

"Trees are no fun," he declared loudly, not meaning it entirely but saying it as such to be emphatic, "Rocks are much better and more fun to climb. And when you get to the top, sometimes it's not just the top." He was, of course, referring to rocky walls that led up to more land to walk upon. Climbing a tree mostly just got you to the air, and not anywhere else. Unless you were a good jumper or could fly, but Tete was neither of those.

Kubwa growled playfully as Tetemeko scampered through his legs again and this time feigned an unhappy face, "You shouldn't have done that, you bad bad boy!"

"And, trees are much better, you can feel the wind through your fur and your mane, and if you climb high enough it is like you're flying, flying lion.." his eyes glazed over and he thought of Boma and there one and only time together, he had really flown then...could trees really compare to that?

"Your mother liked rocks, when I first met her she was muttering to them."
