Lol- does anyone remember that anti drug ad? With these kids all dancing around and singing that song in some kind of weird white void. I can remember it from when I was a kid. It shows up on tv sometimes.


So I went to the doctor today.
First, I get to take Mirtazapine before bed for 2 weeks. It's an NaSSA antidepressant but has the strong side effects of causing drowsiness and stimulating appetite. The doctor prescribed 15mg, but said to take a half a tablet. But it doesn't say that on the bottle. I'll just go with half.
I love the last one on the list of common side effects in the wiki article.

Also I get to take this little pill called Citalopram. It's an SSRI antidepressant. I've been on a couple of those before, but I really hope this one might actually work. The giant list of very likely side effects and the fact that stopping suddenly will cause withdrawal symptoms should mean SOMETHING.
That's the long term treatment one I get to be on- for at least six months after the treatment is considered successful.

I've done that- it brings me no joy anymore.

4 seperate but tiny forums run by horny prepubescents gave me moderator and other special status for little more than a cleavage picture. Not even a personalized one- just my chest in a standard issue less than sexy bra.
Usually I quit those within a month or so of getting my status. Horny little pukes get one lousy cleavage pic and automatically they expect more. If they'd just get the ******** off the computer and go to the beach or the pool they'd see the real damn thing. stare

Besides, it's chemical and possibly hormonal based depression/anxiety/whatever the ******** else I have- not just the need for attention.

...HOLY CRAP. I'm really glad I only took a half of that Mirtazapine. It just hit me and I can barely feel my fingertips. And I don't want to move my legs.

I was on that citalopam thing all last semester, in a low dosage. It made me much less anxious and worried, which was rather nice. Stopped taking it now, though kinda wish I hadn't because I notice that I tend more to get angry and depressed again.
