A few years ago I was in a Bible study class withmy youth group and we were talking about faith in God. Our leader was telling us a story about her neighbor. He was very sick and his heart was twisted or something like that. He was at the doctors, looking at an ultrasound or something like that of it. The doctor was explaining it to him and telling him he only had weeks left to live. Right there the man said "Satan, let go of my heart and leave me life!" On the screen the doctor witnessed a miracle. The heart untwisted and started beating regularly again. This was some 5 years ago, the man is still alive today. Do you think that God can heal anything and everything (assuming it's in His Will)? Cancer, STDs from a rape...or even a girl's hymen if she realized that what she did in her past was wrong and now wants to have her hymen intact so she can feel the symbolic pain on her marriage bed (I was once heard this, and now I believe it to make sense, a woman's pain during her first time with her husband represents all the pain of being alone and unwed being ripped away from you because you now have a spouse who will love and take care of you. I can't remember where I heard that from, but it's a nice way to symbolize the importance of being a virgin). Heart disease, HIV, broken bones, broken hearts. Do you think it's possible for Him to heal all of these? Or has He made some rules saying there are certain things He just plain won't heal because you brought it on yourself or He doesn't feel like it? I'm just asking because...I know so many friends who have sick family members, and I myself need a healing...I'm sure some of you have guessed what kind of healing...but I can't help but question if He made certain rules to His healing rituals. What do you think?

Yes! God can most definitely heal you, and there are no herituals. Except for prayer and faith and belief.
God CAN heal anything, though sometimes his answer is "no." The thing is, sometimes it's simply in His will that the answer be no. Paul prayed three times for a problem to be lifted (many belief it was extremely bad eyesight/blindness), and God's answer was that His grace was suffienct and where we're weak, he is strong and glorified.
God healed and protected me over a cyst I really should have died from. God has protected babies and cancer patients and SO MANY people in my church, through faith and prayer.
Sometimes, however, things come into our lives because of our sin or the sins of others or simply careless thinking. Sometimes we have to live with those problems, but even then GOD will make it turn around to glorify and futher His kingdom.
The answer is, yes he can do anything and, yes, he often will help. It's also no, there are times when it is better not to. For our own sakes, others, and His.

I have a story for you: My great grandmother was called la marachelle. She was around 1900 the greatest evangelistic missionary in Europe, travelling round in a caravan preaching the word of God. She finally settled down in England, and was diagnosed with cancer, she refused treatment claiming that God would heal her, she died three months later screaming in agony, and when she went there was a look on her face of pure bliss. What does this tell me about the nature of God, that it is not subject to human rationality, but he does accept the faithful into his arms. So don't bank on God's healing in life, because it may just be your time to die. Remember that medecines are part of God's creation too and to be treated for an illness is in no way a sin, how can something that heals that many people be a sin?

A friend of mine from my church had to babysit this boy who was crazy and jumped around and broke stuff and no one could stop him. My friend didn't know what to do so she just put her hand upon his head and prayed that God would cast out the evil demons inside him. As soon as she finished praying, the boy calmed down. When I was reading this post that story popped into my head and i just had to say it.
I also know some people from church who have a 1 and a half year old boy named hudson. When he was born he was diagnosed with cancer. He had to stay in Sick Kids Hospital almost all year going under continuse prosedures. He was in two churchs prayer reqests and almost everyone prayed for him. It was a tough battle but God healed him and little Hudson is one happy baby!

So what about healing that isn't an "illness" or state of being? What if it's something you caused when you didn't know any better and want it healed now that you do after going through MORE THAN ENOUGH ( gonk xp ) consequences for it? Or is that unhealable because you put it upon yourself? (Note: I don't beleive God has set "guidelines" as to what can and can't be healed, I'm just asking what you all think)

A faith healer once came to my chuch and did some miracles. Not in a way like the ones you see on TV but... silent miracles. It was simply amazing.
Praise be to god!
