Letarrio was also quite fond of the 'simple life'. No one told him what to do, where to go, who to fight, or who to love. It was all his own decision, his responsibilty. That was probably the only downside, though... he sometimes wished he had other companions to pin as scapegoats. The lone shrugged his great shoulders restlessly, eager to be off from his previous hovel, and he stretched comfortably as the sun filtered down from above and warmed his light fur. Great jaws opened wide in a powerful and loud yawn, as he too had slept in well past sunrise.

He didn't care. He was in no real hurry, and had no real perogative. No one would reprimand him for his intensely laid-back nature.

Of course, it did get a little boring sometimes, being on his own.

A large, half-lidded orange eye peered through the bushes on the other side of the mushroom patch, opposite Luna and just behind the deer. It should've smelled them, and he silently scoffed at it, jowls slavering. As the large male studied Luna - elegant and young, lightly hued with peircingly colored eyes - and the situation, he tried to quickly formulate a plan. Maybe she could help him in attaining a long-sought meal?

He couldn't chance making a noise, no. The deer would bolt... so instead, he raised his head just enough so that his pricked ears and one good eye were obvious in the shade of the patch.

And the nod of her head sent the lone male into action. In near perfect silence, he raised his right paw and took a step, slowly, nails digging into the ground as his hackles raised. Bushy tail raised to sway almost horizontally, ears laying flat against his skull as strong muscles tensed. He was ready, and his eyes darted from the other wolf to the deer, to the sky and around the trees as he contemplated his next move quickly. He had to pin it...

And the trees ahead were just thick enough to halt the creature's progress enough so that the pair could bring it down. Leaping with a throaty, menacing snarl, eye fierce and bright as it landed at the deer's flank, powerful jaws snapping with an inconceivable amount of venomous pressure, saliva dripping from his mouth as he readied for the other to join, and then for the chase.

Clever indeed, he mused, as he unraveled her plan. From the corner of his eye, he saw her pull away and speed to the front, and a sly grin played on his maw while he ran. Snapping at the frightened deer's prancing legs, he gave a throaty chuckle, knowing their prey's imminent doom as the lone's strong legs sent him bounding closer and closer. The scent drove him wild, and as the deer turned sharply, Letarrio took the chance to snap at it's flank, fangs grazing the skin and drawing trickle of blood.

Unfortunately for him, the deer was also at a fairly good position to buck, and as it did so, the male was caught in the shoulder by its hoof, and stumbled, falling back slightly. Still, he persevered, used to small pains as these, and chanced a word as he regained ground.

"Catch it! Don't you let it get away!" A silken, amused voice spoke the words, and the light-tawny male loosed another chukle, zipping low around the hooves as they neared Luna.

Prowling slower now as the deer was caught, Letarrio grinned, ears perking, tail held high in triupmh. He circled it for a moment, growling, snarling as it stumbled, trying to get up, though it knew its actions were in vain.

Then finally, it was dead, and a large pool of blood spread out about its neck and head, glassy eyes forever looking fearfully towards the sky.

The lone nooded, then dove at its neck to lap greedily at the warm blood, muzzle dripping and stained by the time he realized Luna was there. "Well done." He stated simply, licking his lips. "Help yourself."

Also taking a large, savage bite of the flesh around the neck, he savored it, chewing slowly, and then moving in for more. He had feasted solely on small birds and mice for the past few days, and didn't like it at all, which was a reason as to why he was on the move again.

Tail swaying slightly as he was satisfied for the moment, he looked up a touch as she spoke, the scent of blood still heavy and calling to him. "That's 'cause I didn't tell you." He stated matter-of-factly, tossing his head with a grin. An ear swiveled, taking in the gentle sounds of birds and the shuffling of leaves. "Luna... that's pretty," voice low in a purr, the lone sidled past her to get at the flank meat.

"Lettario." He muttered, ripping at the skin. "That's what they call me. You live around here?"

Letarrio also bit hungrily, tearing a good chunk off and settling down with it between his paws. Nibbling at it as he looked upon her with his bright orangey eye, he smirked at the compliment and then as she devoured the deer.

"A hollowed out stump? Well, I guess it's better than nowhere... no pack, then?" That was a relief; the lone male had a keen dislike for packs and their stupid, nonsensical rules. He'd rather be on his own than under the rule of some bossy twit.

Twin tails lifted slightly as she negated his fears, brow raising at her laugh, smirk still intact. "Oh no, my dear." He crooned amusedly, forgetting the meat as he lifted a leg to scratch with black claws at his pierced ear, the other laying flat as he did so. "I'm my own boss, and damn well pleased of it."

Resuming his meal, he snorted at the previous mention of rules, spying her from the corner of his good eye. "I don't think a pack'd stand to have me, anyway. I'm...," he paused to look fully at her, fangs gleaming in his grin as he continued in a serious tone, though meant it half-jokingly,"... a troublemaker."
