Vintage Zero Where did you get this information? After playing FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus, I read through many files and payed much attention to dialogue. Also, I took what I naturally knew from playing the original game.

He has no last name. confused It's not recorded anywhere-not in FFVII, DoC, or whatever. Traditionally, Sephiroth is supposed to inherit his father's last name. Guess what, Hojo has no last name.

Sephiroth having a last name just would ruin his image..... i mean it sounds more intimidating to have a villian with an unknown last name! 3nodding

That's a good point actually. And I wouldn't want his last name to be Crescent either....it wouldn't sound right.....Sephiroth Crescent.....Crescent, Sephiroth. Nope, not feelin' it. Makes him sound un-villain-like.

Hmm... Hojo had no last name? Doesn't that mean Sephiroth would take Lucretia's name? I mean, it would make sense for that. I understand how the whole, "Sephiroth with a last name sounds tottally lame." thing goes, but if you absolutely think about it, isn't Crescent the last name Sephiroth would have?

Lmao, uuuhhh, no. I don't even see how you guys are getting 'Crescent'. I thought about it, and I don't see it. Sephiroth isn't Lucrecia's love child. rolleyes

Lucretia died without being able to really raise Sephiroth. I doubt Hojo would have given him or even TOLD Sephirpth his last name, assigning his name more as a designation or title as an experimnt than a name.

Sephiroth with a last name would be completely icky. Im going to say "no go" on the whole "Crescent" thingy. Besides; no culture that I know of names the child; much less in an Asian culture naming their SON with the mothers last name. It just doesn't work that way =/
