(( YEA I AM UNORIGINAL SHADDUP YOU LOVE ME ANYWAY TWEEK <3<3 ))

The Red Pyramid stood, frozen in time as he watched the world below. Perched on the hill, the world stood still, the only hint of life in him was the wind blowing his tail, ruffling his wings. His breathing was almost unnoticeable, his breath slowly floating out from under his helmet, the morning still just a tiny bit frigid from the night before.

The sun was stuck between now and then, here and there. Dawn. He had not slept, but he didn't show his exhaustion. It would be weakness. Keeping his ears perked, The Red Pyramid slowly sat down. The beast reflected on the night before, and he cherished the quiet reminders in his head of the screams, the howls. They had paid, they had faced their retribution. It didn't matter if it was a Soquili that paid, or another animal, or a two-legger.

They had paid, and that was all that he needed to know to rest in peace. He carefully made his way down to the small grove nearby, a slow trot taking him deeper into the forest. He reached his secret alcove, the laid his head down onto his curled forelegs, the pyramid on his head making a dull thud as it hit the grass, his jaw resting on his legs. He felt the pyramid dig into his neck, but made no movement to show the pang of pain that it caused him.

The Red Pyramid ruffled his wings, and eased into a gentle rest while the rest of the world awoke, unaware of his actions in the night before. Unaware of his protection.

But that was okay. He needed no thanks.

(( OMG you chose dawn ; D <333 ))

"Stupid stupid stupid stupid..." The angry monster fled from her family, and as they slept and snored, she cringed at how her mother had betrayed her.

She had betrayed her because she was WEAK, always running away from everyone, always repressing emotions. Heartless, in every aspect. Loveless lived not only as a daughter that looked more like her mother, but as a daugther that would be different. She would never hide in the shadows as her mother did, she couldn't stand the way she stood out in the blackness. Loveless was Proud to be different.

Thank goodness for her father, he really was perfect. She loved all of the things he was teaching her about sin and Pride, and how sneaky his antics were with stupid females. Although.. his nice antics were starting to piss her off. Just the other day, some ugly regular was making fun of Loveless, and her father was stern but not violent back. Why he gave that ugly girl the time of day or even a glance, Loveless had NO idea. But she hoped when she was older she could see her again and rip her ugly face to shreds.

She was too young for this, though she found her salvation through the help of other Kalonas. She needed more, seeing her first blood was not enough. Her family could do nothing for her, and she wasn't going to sit back and hide like her brothers. She was going to learn all there was, and become better at everything.

The setting was beautiful; The sun was rising lazily, and the sky held a bloody feel. Loveless smiled, not even afraid to be off on her own, just happy to finally be away.

She did not expect, though, to stumble in to another wise being.

The Red Pyramid sharply awoke from his brief rest, still staying dead silent. It was a kalona, from the scent. Brighter than skinwalkers, more angry. More volatile. Fire and brimstone, if you will.

Not lifting his head or even flicking his tail, Pyramid Head spoke, his voice a deep rumble, "It appears I've been found." A low half growl half laugh emanated from under the metal. Little kalona, little kalona, you are far from home.

"A youngling without her parents?" he asked, the timbre in his voice rusty and scratchy. "What an odd surprise," he said, and there was a feral grin under the helmet, though she could not see it.

The filly was lucky she was kalona. Very lucky indeed.

Her angry yellow eyes drifted to the creature in front of her. She didn't even see him at first, how funny was that? Her mind was trailing off somewhere else, it seemed. He was bloodstained all over, and smelled of blood. His voice was dangerously scary, but Loveless was unaffected.

"Found? Who said I was trying to find you?" Her pouty expression changed into her normal half-grin, and she took a closer look at the thing in front of her.

"I don't get it, what are you?" What a crazy looking thing, but it was damn impressive. "You look strong, that is commendable." She flipped at her mane and stood in front of the creature, unsure if he even saw her there.

At his next comment, she only cringed more. "Children don't need their parents you know, especially when one of them is ******** useless." She sighed and smacked her tail on the ground. "Though, why are you up so early, mister?" She looked at him, with her usual bright eyes.

What had the creature done that evening? Loveless was enthralled at the thought, especially since his coat still bled with blood. "I am jealous.." she snicked playfully, "It seems you had an enjoyable evening."

He felt her, her tiny heartbeat calming from the angered rush it was before, slowing to a normal pace.

"Regardless of intent, you have found me anyway, Kalona," He said, voice amused. She was so young, yet already she was imbued with the purity of hate, of vengeance.

"I am nothing and no one," he responded, knowing the answer would annoy her. "Most call me The Red Pyramid. And who are you, pray tell?"

Lifting his head, he turned so that the point faced her. "Thank you. You smell strong, even for being a foal."

When she went tangential about her parents, Pyramid Head was intrigued. "Useless, hmm? No one is ever useless. Sometimes, we just dislike their use," the Wind said, amused. "I am up early because I never went to sleep. I did indeed have an, ah, enjoyable night. It was certainly eventful. I returned just moments ago, to be sure. And you? Why are you out so early, little foal?" he cocked his head, the giant metal helmet tilting ever so slightly. "Perhaps you are trying to escape?"

"Well, this meeting of ours may have use." She tilted her head slightly as his moved, intrigued by the huge metal on his forhead. "I am very interested in what you are, what you do." So many different Soquili, she hated wasting her time on the boring ones. Red Pyramid seemed quite legit in her standards. "The Red Pyramid," she couldn't grasp on to his play with words, so she skipped to introducing herself, "My name is Loveless."

Everytime she said her name, she felt more bitter to the truth that it held. "Can you only smell?" Pity, eyes were such a wonderful thing. It was fun to judge ugly from pretty with her father, so to only smell didn't seem like it would be helpful. "I hope to be strong, that's why I am still learning." She emphasized learning, wondering what knowledge and tales the stallion held.

"Really now?" What a strange way to look at it. "I do find many quite useless though, how can that be possible?" She was completely taken aback by what he said, and she just stared at the ground before responding to anything else.

So not fair, she thought. Older people always got to have fun, all she could do was observe and dream for herself. Her family life wasn't exactly brilliant, though she loved being with her father. "I am up because the sky woke me." She looked towards the still-red sky, and imaginined the eventful night he had, as if it had stained the sky by itself. "I tend to have a lot on my mind, so I can't sleep that well." She sighed, and looked at Red Pyramid again.

"Oh?" the Wind countered, intrigued. "I am nothing, the guardian on the wind. I do nothing, I serve to ...protect. Though it sounds far more noble than it is in reality." As she introduced herself, he dipped his head in ascent. "Hello, Loveless."

The Red Pyramid chuckled darkly. "I am sure that I could still see, if you were to remove this helmet. I used to have excellent eyesight as a foal, actually. But it has been many years since then. So to answer you, yes. I can only smell. But it is not so bad-- each Soquili possesses their own smell, as does each race. You smell strongly of your race, Loveless." He stood slowly, and flexed his wings, and flakes of blood fell to the ground in a shower, coating the grass covered in morning dew.

"Though you may find them useless to you, this does not discount their utility. You should learn this. Conceal the anger, the hate. Let it serve you well, but let the others serve you twice as well," he said, sounding distant. He looked up to the sky, and the underside of his jaw showed. There were bloodstains around his mouth.

The Red Pyramid looked back down at the filly, as if waiting for her to elaborate. He knew she wasn't telling the truth-- a few moments ago it had been an endless blue above. "Ah, so the Loveless fills her minds with thoughts rather than affection?" He chuckled. "Normally foals are all action and no thought. You are intriguing."

"I think I am a bit confused," she refused to ignore her questions, especially since Pyramid may have had some important knowledge to tell. She didn't want to look like an idiot in front of another wise being, either. But, she assumed that she had some slack, especially since she was still a filly or whatever. "What do you protect, or serve?"

The thought of removing that helmet made her shiver in thought. Who knew what face he bared, and what scars and memories rested on his face. The whole concept was chilling even to her, but she tried to ignore it. But, the fact that Loveless smelled strong, made her happy that she was strong in one aspect. "Have you met many Kalonas?" She looked at him, again in wonder. It looked as if he could handle himself in any scenario, so she was curious on who he had run into.

It was good advice, advice her parents could never give her. They weren't smart enough to think things through, and she didn't want to act like them. "I will for sure remember that.." She flushed, feeling silly for letting her rage control her so much. "But, what if I can't always control my anger, then what do I do?" She was too young for violence, but her father had spoken out about his worry for when she was older. Was she really a monster? Why was that so wrong?

It was true, her brothers were action and no thought. "Affection doesn't suit me.." she giggled, but was dark in her release of noise. "But I think a lot because it makes me feel more useful. I want to make my father Proud because that is his greatest desire, and I also want to be better then my mother ever was. Is it wrong to think?" She looked at him, with innocent eyes, for even if her voice responded differently, she still was an innocent child.

Pyramid Head ducked his head in answer. "Both. But I serve by protecting, do you understand? It's all rather circular, regardless. I do what no one else does, I kill to serve and I protect by death. Don't worry your little head over it, most that are not wind will not understand our intrinsic need to protect, even if some may consider my purpose perverted from its purity."

The Wind shrugged as well as he could. "Not so many, but enough to have your kind's scent pinned down. "As for your anger, you will learn control. It may take time, of course. I used to be more irrational than you, don't doubt it." He grinned ferociously, and it seeped into his voice. "But if you do, I would say wait until you are large enough to truly strike back." He took a step closer to the filly, and with a sudden burst, he reared, though it was shortlived. His front hooves crashed to the ground, resounding with dull echoes. There were imprints in the ground where his feet had been. "Until your weapons are formidable. Then, as you are a Kalona, you could do...anything you wanted," the Red Pyramid paused momentarily. "Though, I do suggest not challenging skin walkers. They are very...ah...angry."

Pyramid chuckled darkly with Loveless. "Your name certainly holds true, then?" He smirked. "I see nothing wrong with your thoughts," the Wind replied, aware and somewhat amused he was corrupting a child. "Because even if your mother and father tell you wrong, how could such honest want be untrue?" He shook his head, metal point swaying gently. "Such ideas are quite common in foals," he frowned. "I gather your mother is not Kalona?"

The Red Pyramid snorted. "Is she at least on the crueler scale in life?" He asked, assuming his previous statement had been correct.

Well, he certainly didn't make sense in her little brain, but she was still intrigued nevertheless! Pyramid Head was really wise, and Loveless found herself very into what he stated. His words flowed perfectly, and she could only smile and listen closely.

It was good he understood anger, because the many that were arround her didn't understand why she fumed with it constantly. The stallions movement only made Loveless smile, and she remained still as he did his damage. "Strong.." Very nice, and also fun to watch! "I will make myself stronger, I know I can. My father has told me about skinwalkers, and how dangerous they are. I do not doubt it, especially since so many speak of them this way." She had to be wise about some parts of nature, and skinwalkers were good to be wary of.

"Yes, I find love and relationships, disgusting. I have comrads, and those I cherish, but it is different. My mother may not have a heart or feelings, but at least I was able to experience different emotions." Watching her mother not experience emotions made her realize that they weren't a bad thing, but rather very good! It was important to be angry, proud, dissapointed, and even sad. "My mother is a Kalona, she is just.. very complicated." Loveless brought her eyes back on the stallion's silver head. "I think she is crueler, but. She never does anything, which is pathetic in my eyes."

Amused and somewhat flattered that a Kalona, albeit a foal, would take him so seriously, the red Pyramid grinned. "Good girl," he said, nearly purring, pleased with Loveless' thoughts. For being a filly, she was wise beyond her years and then some. She understood anger, and the value of keeping it close to your heart, even though she wasn't very skilled at it yet. She understood hate, pain, the value of action.

"I see," he said, and laughed. "You may change your opinion as you grow older, little Loveless," he grins wolfishly. "But we'll see." He listened to Loveless talk, excitedly chatter and listening to the swells of her voice as her emotions raged from one to another. "Kalona or not, she does not sound very typical for one," he said, disdainful. "Inaction is worse than compassion," the stallion replied, nodding steadily.

"Feeling nothing is a crime to no one but yourself. If there are no emotions to build on, no desire for revenge or to have no desire to be strong, what then is left? Nothing. A shell. And emptiness is even less ideal than kindness." The wind's voice was weary, tinged with fury. So many valued so little. It was important to hold value and simply discard the care. What burden would it be if there was no care in it all?

She was also happy that Pyramid Head seemed to understand her situation so well. She did not think of her mother as anything BUT a situation, she may have been involved in her creation, but her father deserved the praise, not her foolish mother.

"She is empty.." Loveless sighed, forcing herself not to get emotional on the subject. "I can feel her emotions sometimes, as if they are me. I don't know if that makes sense but, I feel as angry as if she would, at times." A complicated family, it was hard for Loveless to shun her mother off when she was residing in her own body! Her brothers had felt it too at times, her mother only gave them shards of herself, since she never would openly use them.

"I always believed that emptiness was worse then kindness, and although my father is kind, I deem him more worthy then her." She stated, while nodding. Her father was proud enough to be anything he wanted, and she held that in her heart deeply. "What about you? Do you have family to complain about?" She made a childish grin, but looked at him curiously.
