This special is on Monday night at nine eastern. It looks really good. I plan on watching it. I'll let everyone know how it was.

I am going to be watching this as well. I wish I had TiVo...lucky for me this season of 24 is over and I won't have to worry about having to work around that.

It was good. Some of the stuff they pointed out as a conection I already knew and had made on my own.

The Stormtroopers being named after Hitler's guard and the palleles to tyranical dictators with the Emperorer I made years ago.

I liked what they said about the Jedi. They are part priest, part warrior.

Crap! Figures I would forget that that was on last night! Ah well ... such is life. But I was going to say, so do you think Jedi would then be closer to clerics or paladins from the fantasy world?

Paladins, IMO. Though I think I once heard that the samurai were also a base used for the Jedi.

The Samuria are a base. Jedi is taken from some Jappanese word that has something to do with Samuria.

Since I don't read a lot of Fantasy, I'm not sure what the difference is between a Paladin and a Cleric.

Wow. No offense but I thought it was kinda lame. It seemed to me like they were stating the obvious. It's like "Han Solo is a bounty hunter representing freedom and scoundralisim." No duh! The stuff on Vader was a little more intuitive though. I liked the show after that, the Tech presentation. Unfortunately I was too burnt out from watching documentaries and clips from Star Wars at that point.
