I've been playing on and off since beta days and it seems that lately fewer and fewer people are playing it. Is RO dying off? What do you think?

I think for people that have been playing for a few years now, it's sorta fading, but maybe for newbies, it isn't? o:

RO is like world of warcraft...it's super fun at first...but..as we go on..it decreases in appealingness.

I'm afraid so...
All the oldbies have migrated to another MMO's. There's just a bunch of new players that play for a few months and quit too.
I play RO once in a while. I do not enjoy the game as much as when I started. The WoEs used to be a lot better. =|

umm..some of us from the kRO Alpha test are still here and playing, so not all have migrated.
Population may be less than open (free) beta era, but from people's numbers seems rather stable over the last year or so.

It's not very fun anymore. Well at least there's Ragnarok Online 2 to look forward to. It's supposed to come out sometime soon.

when I played RO last summer, there were still a lot of people playing...I still go back to playing it once in a while but it's only fun when you go in a party to fight monsters 'cause you get some interesting memories....

I am a new player to Ragnarok. My funest times were when I was in party mode. It's not so fun when your alone.
And yes, I see less people every day.

After coming back to it after a year or so...I can say its worse, and better.
Last time i was on iRO, there were so few people playing, it made me sad that my first MMO was dieing D:<
But, after coming back now, i see more people on, but still, not as many as 2003 and 04 had >.>

I still find it fun, but then a lot of my old friends are still playing. There's still new stuff coming that's interesting, especially since a lot of the new dungeons are designed for party play. As for stuff to do after trans... what about stuff to do instead of trans? http://ro.doddlercon.com/home/?p=102 3rd job classes instead of transing. I look forward to seeing what comes with that.

...just recently saw my sis playing on Sakray and sadly there's barely any players on there...basically now most players that are left on iRO level up on the Sakray server then pay for the service to transfer their characters to the official servers...still it seems like it's continually dying...

Uhhh, no, you can't transfer to or from Sakray. Sakray has always been a small server and will always be. Same goes for Iris. Chaos and Loki don't have as many people as they once did because RO (both the game and the community, in general) is not friendly toward new players, and, needless to say, slowly but surely the old players are finding other things to do. I would be surprised if iRO was still around in two years. Maybe if all you pserver kids sucked it up and paid $12 a month for the game you're stealing... nah.
