Name of Nightmare: Gerard Way
Phobia: This depends. While I could have it as a fear of cancer, I shall take time to decide on whether or not that is the best possible choice I have. This is not just a cosplay to fawn over, despite the fact I usually do fawn over Gerard. Yea .. you just have to believe me on this one.
Place character is taken from: He is the lead singer for a band titled "My Chemical Romance", though on this tour he does not state as such. He is rather titled as the leader of the Black Parade, the band "touring" with My Chemical Romance. Odd.. to call yourself two different people/bands, but it has it's purpose. The Black Parade is special, the entire point of their new cd. The band is donating a lot of their profits to cancer groups, furthering help and study for this disease. The cd tells a story, the life of the protagonist. It has deep, severe subjects .. referring to both love and death. Cancer is one of the songs on the cd's list, giving a insight of a cancer victims view on the last of his days. This song makes me cry, heh. It is true, my mother herself died of cancer. When I saw this band live .. I also cried. It was not just a cry of sorrow, it helped me understand. This cosplay is to reflect that understanding, perhaps to also help me even further with the losses that I have had.
Custom description: This is also something not fully decided upon. I am thinking of ordering him in his full on, skeleton makeup. Whether or not I will have flames, from the parade float, near him is also being debated. Bob Bryar, the drummer, was seriously burned in making "Famous Last Words", I do not know if I plan on using it because of that. I know he shall be in his Black Parade outfit.. but.. thats kinda a "duh" statement considering all I've said heh. If not flames, perhaps some sort of medical attire can be added on to fit the scene. In the concert, he first appeared on a hospital bed with an IV on. Maybe an IV wire with blood, etc could be used. As I said before, nothing is fully decided on yet.
I will be adding links to Youtube here, to back up what I have said if anyone cares to see. The video's are worth watching, that is only my opinion though. I tried to find the ones of best quality for you guys~

I like the idea of it to be honest, I think it would be good for you as you feel it just may. I deffently say go for it, it'll be a memorial sort of thing, as well as something you injoy. That's always a great way to go about things, it means it has more meaning to you <3
As for idea's, hmm I would say.. Doing him in his Skeleton makeup, might be good, but if you make him the fear of cancer, perhaps as a patient in bed would be equally as good. And the flames could be incorprated here, placing them under the bed.

Under the bed? I doubt I would order such large of a scene. I do not wish for a stretcher to be in the cert if it would be out of place, taking too much room. The Black Parade is.. the path to death itself. Not the path to heaven and hell .. the journey of letting go, thats what The Black Parade does. It takes the person, leading them to the path they need to take as their final journey. It leaves them perhaps near where it splits. Flames under the stretcher.. would seem too "hellish" wouldn't it?

Another debate.
Gerard finally has his hair black again.
Black is sexier, but not the original hair color for the "character"
I wonder.. which would be the right choice.
I also decided that fire would not fit in well.. unless they were small embers. Full on FIRE... would kinda be bad. It would take up space on the cert for no real reason as far as I can see. While it fits the theme, I do not believe it fits the pet itself.
Black and white confetti. On his clothes/falling down. Gerards outfit is black and white. Hell, the set was that color. The cd cases came in black and white. Black and white confetti even was shot out at the concert I went to. It floated overhead. Yes, I tried catching it.
So .. that seems more space efficient than flames. I also think that it would come out quite pretty. Well, as pretty as the black parade can get ...
